Mysterious killings plague Station Square?

This just in from the Station Square News Room. Reports have come in from early this morning that another murder has hit the city. This would be the sixth case of this distasteful murder in our streets.

Officials have released the name to be Dixie Colobie who apparently was in league with an underground group of criminals was found battered and decapitated by her lower leveled apartments. It is still unsure if all these cases have any relation to the victims in case.

It is undetermined who is actually causing these crimes. However the mayor of Station Square has not requested assistance from G.U.N.

There is still no word from Sonic the Hedgehog about this event.

CAPITOL CITY HORROR

As the mysterious questions of who, what, and why still linger on the lips of the worlds population, the scene of the alien invasion is still one of chaos and disarray. It has now been two weeks since the individual known only as Sarath Crescent first appeared and during that time there has still been no answers to the many questions that surround him.

The scene of the final battle, Capitol City, is still today out of bounds for all non military personel. A 50 miles exclusion zone now exists around what was our nation's capitol as military teams and scientists try to uncover any information. Rumours from within the military have confirmed that the work is progressing slowly, hampered by a previously unknown energy source known only as Phase Particles.

It is believed these particles are the reason behind the invaders vastly powerful weapons and have been deemed extremely dangerous to all living beings on the planet. Capitol City itself is saturated in these particles making investigation work dangerous and slow.

So far, there has been no evidence found that supports Sarath being alive or dead although major opinion is that the phase explosion noted after the alien vessel sunk into the ocean was either a sign of his demise or a calculated move to ensure he could not be followed. Military vessels have been patrolling the seas on constant alert trying to locate any trace of the sunken alien vessel but so far nothing has been found.

As usual, Sonic and his friends who were on scene for the final battle were not available for comment but yesterday commander in chief of the GUN military stated they would do anything that was required to ensure that, if he was alive, Sarath would be stopped and brought to justice.

It was in the late afternoon that the sky above Capitol City was shrouded in storm clouds and ships that could rival Dr. Robotnik's horrific Egg Carrier. At first thought to be the work of the diabolical doctor, that rumor has recently been dismissed as the true perpetrator unmasked himself in a wide screen holograph above the city. It was fortunate for us that fellow news reporter, Bryant Cross, was on site to quote:

"Greetings to all the new citizens of the Crescent Empire. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Lord Sarath Crescent although you may all address me as Lord. You have seen the futile attempt by your military forces to stop us so I trust you will all submit quietly. This city is now under my command and anyone found resisting will be shot...immediately. From this point on I am claiming this world as part of my Empire. I am a gentle soul at heart...but if anyone gets an idea of playing hero I'm afraid they will find themselves in....rather awkward circumstances. End transmission!"

Despite GUN's efforts to stop the massive invasion on the city, they have since late retreated. It is unclear at the time whether or not they will spur a counter attack. In the mean time, Radical City has also leaked reports of similar circumstances. Casualties of these attacks remain unknown at the moment.

And speaking of unknown, just where is <i>Sonic the Hedgehog</i>? This has become a popular question among the survivors of the attacks. Usually fast on his feet to help those in trouble, so far there has been no such sign of True Blue. After two years of peace, has the blue blur finally called it quits? These questions to be answered next issue.
