The "Furry"

Due to the growing number of furries on the planet, and the escapades of Sonic and his friends, several studies have been performed on furries to understand them better.

It has now been proven that furries mature a lot faster than regular humans. Tests showed that a ten year old furry was equally rival to a human twice their age in terms of mental ability. This is evident when you consider Tails' skills with mechanics.

Also furries have shown a much closer tie to the elements and energies of the planet than humans. Some have been known to be able to control a single element such as fire or ice. These furries generally live in an area where this element is abundant and only a small percentage of them has shown any such control.

Furries are also very athletic, easily being able to out perform a human in terms of running speed, jumping and general spatial awareness. That said furries are not as strong as humans. In a fist fight furries would have to out number a human three to one if they hoped to win.

In addition to controlling particular elements, it has been proven that a furries species traits have also evolved along with hem. Rabbits are generally excellent jumpers, able to easily jump several story buildings with a well directed spring. Foxes have kept their keen senses, able to smell, see and hear things others can't. Cheetahs have also mastered running at extreme speeds, capable of reaching a hundred miles an hour easily. In the case of Sonic it is also known for certain individuals to mutate special skills of their own but these kinds of mutations are very rare.
