RE: Aquatic Base
[Since Kitty has gone and departed the base I'm going to assume that the time warp will have taken place here as well now]
It's been two whole weeks...! since Robotnik had let that reporter lady go. Sure, I'll admit, I did discover a few bumps and bruises that did need some time to heal, so I can justify relaxing, but after the second week I had started to get bored. That's about when I discovered the weapons lab. With some help from the 'bots there I'd come up with a few nifty little toys for my next little play-date with whoever Robotnik wanted dealt with. Much to my surprise, but it actually had kept me quite busy until I realized just how much time had passed by. Now, I was getting anxious. So, I decided to track down my new boss. "Hey, boss, you're not really gonna start play'n politician and act'n all peaceful-like now are ya?" I couldn't tell what exactly he might be doing. I'd only just stepped through the doors but I could only throw a wild fancy as to what sort of plan or gizmo he might be cooking up. "When am I gonna get a chance to bash some skulls in? Shoot up some GUN soldiers... steal candy from a baby? I mean, I didn't sign up with you to play secret service body guard. My fingers are get'n mighty itchy again." |

RE: Aquatic Base
"I am a man of my word, Kitty. You may depart if you wish. My soldiers will escort you to one of my own personal craft for transport. Thank you for your assistance."
It was then, Trigger the Almighty King of Timing walked in. Robotnik rolls his eyes, "Why do you think I'm the one running things and not someone like you? Diplomacy is not one of your finer points, my friend. Be patient as I'm certain not everyone will be amicable to my suggestion." |

RE: Aquatic Base
I grinned knowingly. Robotnik was dead-on about my diplomacy skills. But then again, my for of diplomacy usually involved me with a gun to someone's head. Simple, effective, and usually very quick. "Patience isn't one of my better strong points either, Boss."
I turned away from Robotnik with a sigh and strolled a little farther into the room. "I just don't understand what you expect to gain from any of this. Its not like anyone is...." I stopped my speech abruptly when I noticed a large bank of computer terminals displaying lord only knows what on them begin to flicker randomly. It almost looked like what would happen when someone slowly pulled out the wires from the back of an active monitor. Then the lights started flickering. And not even the lights in just the one lab. A glance out into the hallway and I could see the lights flickering out there as well. In fact the same flickering in the monitors and the lights were happening throughout the entire base. "What the heck is going on!?" I shouted angrily, figuring that this was just random glitch in the system. As abruptly as it all started the all returned to normal. The monitors however momentarily switched to static; then all of the screens turned blue. I walked up to the monitors, consumed by curiosity, chuckling to myself. "Heh heh, I think you're computers all just meet the blue screen of death boss." Suddenly the blue screen flickered, and much to my surprise a line of text appeared on the screen saying: NOT QUITE "Huh!!" I stammered. Was this computer able to hear me? The screen flickered again and a new line of text appeared: WE CAN SEE YOU. WE CAN HEAR YOU. |

RE: Aquatic Base
Robotnik simply arches a brow. Obviously if this attack was able to take down his systems it would have done so already. "Amusing...", he stated plainly, "Where's Rose? I want her to find out who's gutsy enough to try to attack my systems."

RE: Aquatic Base
“She’s in the control room thing-y, yo.”
He walked up in a slithering like manner; his hands in his pockets and his back hunched over slightly, but just enough to make him look as though he was shorter than what he really was. His hair was messier than usually (If one was to even –call- his hair neat from beforehand) and his eye was half opened, which made it obvious to tell that he probably just woken up from either a nap or a hard night’s sleep. “She’s not too ‘par-tic-ular-ly’ happy about it neither.” He added on, “Cursing up’a storm. And this time, I’m letting –you- deal with her, yo.” He put his left hand out of his pocket and pointed at the Doctor with a flimsy figure before putting his arm down and yawning, continuing. “I already had ta deal with her during that whole damn interview, yo. Ranting and cursing up’a storm…and wouldn’t shut the hell up.” He began slithering back towards the next door slowly, over passing the doctor by, yawning again placing left hand over. As soon as it was over his arm limply hung by his side as he began to mutter lowly as though he was slowly beginning to drift off, like he was talking to himself (And seeming to forget the two other presences in the room). “Said ‘somthin’ ‘bout “A bunch of f-ing idiots-“ and whatnot, had ta lock her into a fricking room jus’ so I didn’t have ta hear it no more…” (OOC: And for the sack of knowing, he just came in. So He managed to overhear a bit, but he’s only really entered the room. I didn’t feel like writing it out. ) |

RE: Aquatic Base
I assure you, that will not be necessary. Who we are, is entirely besides the point." Much to Trigger's surprise, the blue screen suddenly shifted and now a dark silhouette of a person was visible against the blue background and now, the room's built-in speakers were playing the words of whoever was on the screen now.
"Greetings, Dr. Robotnik, I'm pleased to see you're physical appearance was not just some clever camera trick." Not only was the person on-screen impossible to make out visibly, but the voice playing across the speaker's was warbled and altered. Whoever this was, they were going to great lengths to remain secret; even modulating the voice to disguise it. "You'll have to forgive the theatrics, Doctor." The voice continued, the silhouette shifting to appear like it was now supporting its head on its hands. "However, you are a very difficult person to get in touch with after all. As for the virus, well, it was merely a way for us open a means to speak with you. The attempted take over of your other systems... that was just for show. I'm sure you can appreciate a demonstration of power; all we really want is to talk. We didn't want you to think we were just some random hacker poking their nose into any and every system on the net." "And I must applaud your own security systems, Doctor. It might comfort you to know that you're 'Rose' is keeping half-a-dozen very skilled hackers quite busy just to maintain this connection from you're minions continued intrusion attempts. As of now the only systems that we still maintain control of is this communications feed and the camera's we are using to see you with. To that end, I'd like to ask you to have your computer whiz stand-down. Her success would only mean you'd not get to hear our offer. And then, what purpose would all you're efforts to kidnap that reporter and broadcast you're little message to the world have been?" Trigger had been listening all this time, annoyed slightly by the smugness of the speaker. "What the heck is he talk'n about boss?" |

RE: Aquatic Base
Robotnik gives Trigger an assuring gesture, the genius is in control. He opens a commlink to Rose, "Give our intruder one communications link. If they don't stop trying to mess with our network... well, use your imagination."
Not once did Robotniks stare leave the screen with the mysterious intruders visageas he spoke with Rose. "I hope that's fair enough, Mr. Unknown. You see, I take my systems very seriously. With your intrusion you got my attention. Just be warned, it's not always a good idea to get my attention like this so I hope you have something important enough to talk about with me." |

RE: Aquatic Base
[Three day rule]
"Oh, I assure you, Doctor, what I have to say is most important. And please, you may call me Niles." The figure appeared to nod to someone off-screen and shortly afterwards, Rose would notice all intrusion attempts sharply stop. "Now then, to business. I represent a sizable number of... concerned individuals. Tell me, Doctor, how long do you believe it took between the time the alien invasion force arrived to when it showed its hostile intent to the time when GUN finally sent a sizable response? Fifteen minutes? Half-an-hour? An hour? Due to your repeated attempts at global domination, GUN always maintains a response team ready to mobilize within ten minutes notice. And yet, sadly this response force was not allowed to react as soon as the aliens first appeared. And why? Because the politicians would not allow GUN to take appropriate action. Even when they showed their intent, the politicians only authorized the response teams to mobilize rather then react with a full counter attack. They believed that they still might be able to negotiate. It was only after the reaction force got annihilated and they alien leader proclaimed they're intentions that they finally authorized a full response. And even then, only against the force at Capitol City, all but abandoning Radical. Consider all this and it is not difficult to understand why many have great disdain for the wallowing government currently in power. And then you're intriguing broadcast occurred. You may not be a politician, Dr. Robotnik, but you certainly are famous; or rather infamous. But you're speech did present an interesting notion to us. We had already been planning to overthrow the government and exploit the decent, but did not really have any real rallying figure. We believe you may be just that figure. As you can see, we have a common goal. We seek to change the political dogma and you wish to rule the world. I think we might be able to work together, don't you?" |

"Your proposal has captured my interest. But somehow I don't think your group would be completely allied with me. It's understandable to not want to be under the thumb of Ivo Robotnik. What sort of an alliance are you offering?"

RE: Aquatic Base
"Well, we of course would expect some favorable positions within the new world order of course. And I'm certain that there would be some mechanisms put in place to ensure you're leadership reflects the worlds... best interests on a whole. But such things are of little importance right now. What is important is that we gain your support in this grand endeavor. You see, the people of the world greatly disdain military coup's and your repeated attempts at global domination are met with the same feelings. If either of us alone were to seize control, it would only be met by rebellion and lingering feelings of distrust. However, if others, ordinary citizens were to be led to believe you hold their best interests at heart and that there are others that support you, then there will be far less resistance to such a drastic change. We have already begun plans to make such a thing possible. But in order for our plans to have the right impact, we need someone like you. Interested?"
