"I must disagree, Miss O'Brien. Those leaders are busy doing as much as they can within the short amount of time they are given in office. They try to fill their fat wallets before they are voted out and are completely blind or uncaring to the global picture of what's going on. Running a country is childsplay."

"Isn't that a rather stereotypical view of things, Doctor? Not all politicians are like that, you know."

Robotnik just shrugs, "Stereotype or not, the truth is none of them can run this world as well as I can. I have the brains, the resources and the drive to do it. Now all I need to know is who will try to resist and who will accept me as their leader."

[Kitty O'Brien]

That sounded like a cop-out. I must have been winning. "I don't want to appear biased, Doctor, but I would expect a majority towards the former. Like you said earlier, you have a history."

[The Great Robotnik]

"My history can speak ill of me and praise me at the same time. I will do what it takes to achieve my goals. Is that not a quality the people would desire of their leader?"

[Kitty O'Brien]

"Touché, Doctor. We're already convinced of that." Not only that, but I believe this subject came up just a moment ago. "What we're worried about now is exactly what those 'goals' are, and how you intend to achieve them."

"My goal is peace, Miss O'Brien. And this broadcast is the first step to achieving that goal. What I need are the leaders of the various countries of this world to relinquish their control over to me. As soon as all the countries accept me as their leader I can move on towards making this planet a better and safer place."

[Kitty O'Brien]

"That's an awfully tall order, Doctor, but I'll humor you for the moment. Once you've secured control over the world's nations, what do you plan to do?"

"I will begin the painstaking task of analyzing each region. Find their strong points, help with their weak points, evaluate their resources and basically get everyone to start working together on the common goal of advancing our technology."

I don't think I'll make any progress unless I take this conversation in a different direction. "Forgive me for saying this, Doctor, but that's somewhat of a... how do I put this... generic claim. That sounds like something any politician in your shoes would say, if only because it's what the public would want to hear. What makes you different from them, aside from the fact that you prefer to construct and execute your plans from the safety of these fancy secret bases of yours?"
