[The Great Robotnik]

"I would be ushering in a new era of technology, Kitty. We would live in a time of evolution, so to speak. Our brief encounters with the unidentified visitors tells me we need to strengthen our defenses and advance our knowledge. For all we know they were testing us and are gearing up for another attack as we speak. Under my rule we will be invincible to any threat locally and extraterrestrial."

[Kitty O'Brien]

Kitty folded her arms, assuming they weren't folded already.

If I change the subject it'll look like I'm giving up, and this is Dr. Eggman for crying out loud. If I want to protect my ratings I'll have to keep attacking him. "That doesn't tell us very much. I'd like to hear some particulars."

[The Great Robotnik]

Robotnik shakes his head and smiles, "Quite frankly, Kitty my dear, we don't have that kind of time. You're asking me to detail on part of a large machine. But try to imagine, if you will, a planetary wide government working like a well oiled machine. Think of the efficiency!"

[Kitty O'Brien]

(Kitty)
He didn't give any details. "People are not gears in a machine, Doctor. Treat them that way and you're asking for trouble."

[The Great Robotnik]

Robotnik arches his brow as he gives Kitty a questioning look for a moment before shaking his head. "You must do your superiors proud. You took my analogy and twisted it into a negative statement. Bravo. Now can we continue or must I cut this interview short?"

[Kitty O'Brien]

Kitty winced slightly.

Whoops, looks like I blundered there. Better keep moving along. "I-I'm sorry, I misunderstood what you said. Very well then, continue."

[The Great Robotnik]

"It's... uh... okay. I should expect it as I do have a history.", he said with a smile and half a shrug. "That's why I'm here with you, Miss O'Brien. I feel the need to at least explain my overall goals." Robotonik looks towards the camera, "So yes everyone, I want to 'rule' over the world. But only because I can do it effectively. Anyone else would cave under such a responsibility; or go insane."

[Kitty O'Brien]

"That's quite a generalization to make, Doctor. There are probably other people out there who could also take on that responsibility without panicking."

[The Great Robotnik]

"Oh really? Well, Miss O'Brien, who would be first on your mind to undertake such a task?"

[Kitty O'Brien]

"Many of the people who run for already existing public offices, actually. There are already people out there who can and do manage entire countries; it's highly likely, almost certain, that at least a few of them would be as qualified to rule over Earth as yourself (if not more)."
