RE: Station 'Dis, Station 'Dat
It took a great deal of control for Skyes not to give in to the hand mangling- With great effort, he returned it to sender.
"Nice try, buddy. Go practice on Styrofoam." He said, only audible enough for Tancer to hear. Easing off, he continued forward. "Come...in?" Skyes was thrown off by the question. This was a tough one: A) Go back to Radical like I promised and retrieve Gramps? Semyl might be waiting for me. B) Save it for later; He'll be okay. I've got an invitation into Roxie's apartment. So many choices... And then he heard Tancer's remark. His gaze shifted towards the fox, as he wondered what inspired such an intelligent comment. His choice- No, duty- was clear from then on. "Sure thing! I'd hate to be stuck out here in an hour." He had heard over the radio that a storm was nearing- Skyes hated being stuck in the rain. Especially at night. |

RE: Station 'Dis, Station 'Dat
Roxie laughed at Tancer's comment.
"Better not be or I've gotta' find another place to live." Roxie opened the door and let the two in. She climbed up the stairs to the 3rd floor, arriving before room 324. With a sigh of relief that she was finally home, she opened the door and walked in. "Excuse the mess, I wasn't really expecting any visitors." She glanced at the little pile of sheet music scattered around the living room floor. It was a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with a living room and kitchen. The walls, which were painted sky blue, had numerous music notes and staffs scrawled onto them with a black marker. Roxie slid her backpack off her shoulders and quickly placed it into the closet next to the door, taking care to put R.T. down as well. "Please, sit." She gestured toward the couch as she sat down in the center of it. "So what is this I hear about a storm?" She hadn't really noticed the sky, but it did smell like rain was coming near. |

"Yeah, that's for sure." Tancer said in agreement. He looked around the apartment in curiosity, looking at the sky blue wall and the all the marking on the wall. He himself never really bothered to do sentimental stuff like that.
He took one step and stopped, the groan the floor made was almost as if it actualy cried out in pain. He took another step, slowly, each movement brought another groan. The metallic fox slowly eased himself into the couch. The whole process took about 10 whole minutes. "Eh, yeah, I'mma stop with the double cheeseburgers..." He said in some vain attempt to make a joke. "geez I hope your couch can handle me, babe." He was dreaded the thought of having to buy Roxie a new couch. Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: Station 'Dis, Station 'Dat
The first thing to catch Skyes' attention was all of Roxie's sheet music. The walls did nothing to coax him in a better mood:
"Aw man, what a day to be without a 12-string. Nothing like a lady who likes music." "Oh, nothing much- Just a storm heading our way. Huh... Kinda roomy in here." To him, at least- When you spent your life sharing a room with four others, everything seemed 'roomy'. Before he sat down, he took a quick look at the mess of papers. Skyes always enjoyed the company of fellow musicians; The non-psychotics ones, to be exact. "What do you play?" he said, nodding towards the music. |

"If it doesn't, you're buying me a new one." Roxie laughed. Her couch was pretty sturdy, but with a metal fox on it...who knows. She could feel how all the weight was shifted on his end, leaving her and Skyes a bit higher than him.
She blushed at Skyes' question. She was a bit humble about her playing; she never really thought she was that great. If you could catch her in her "I'm the absolute best clarinet player there ever was" moments, then you caught her in her rare "high-ego" states of mind. "I play the clarinet. I play for numerous orchestras and have won various concerto competitions here and there." If her pride was showing, today was the day she didn't care. All of her 39 trophies were in her bedroom along the walls if she needed to show them. "...and I sing a bit. In my own home that is." She added. "So any of you boys play?" She asked curiously, wondering what they might be able to do. |

((Sorry for the delay, Been really messed up lately.))
Tancer looked up and scratched his head. "Uhhh..." He kind of had a blank look on his face for a split second. "No can't say that I have." He shifted again on the couch, hoping it wouldn't break on him. "I never was much for the uhhh musical arts, babe. Though it would be very cool to watch you wrap your lips around that thing." If Roxie's ego was showing, Tancer's mannerisms or a lack of where too. ((Oh man too easy some times.)) Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: Station 'Dis, Station 'Dat
Skyes nearly swallowed his tongue when he heard that last bit- Whatever this guy was up to, he was one confident dude. If Skyes ever did that, he'd most likely get hit or something.
Still a little thrown off, his voice seemed to be quiet. "Well, I'm a guitarist by nature. Not any, mind you: Nothing like a twelve-string. Hehehe, I- I-" Was the couch shifting in place? Nah, just his imagination. "-picked it up just like that. ...Here and there, you say? Wow. That's... quite a display you have there." He chuckled, pointing towards the trophies. "Singing...? I can't really say I can do much there... I used to be able to, and then... well..." He took in a deep breath, and tried to hum an 'A' note- It started okay, then declined to a G-sharp, before awkwardly warbling into a B-flat. "I've lost it." He smiled and finally started to settle down. It's not like he hadn't ever been in another person's home. But under current circumstances, he couldn't say that he was composed. He hadn't really spoken with many people other than family (mostly Semyl) for a long time. But now Skyes felt a bit cheery. Also something he hadn't experienced for awhile. "It's okay, man! You've got this. Just act normal- she's a friend, after all." ---------- Meanwhile "...Guess I shoulda' kept my mouth shut." Semyl glanced around, about a mile away from Skyes. She had been searching for him, in hopes of being able to get an apology through- But he wasn't anywhere to be found. She let out a distressed sigh and pulled out his ring. "I don't care what he says. He's going to use this again. I know it." Pocketing it and flipping open a cellular phone, she quickly dialed a certain number. "'ELLO! WHO'S THIS?" "...Donno! Hey, I've- I've- Er, something wrong with you?" "NO! PERFEC'LY FINE! JUS' A BIT O' HEARING LOSS!" "Tell me about it... Hey..." She considered what she was about to say for a moment, and then pressed on. "Tell Rod... Tell Rod I'm heading back to Radical. Family issues, think he'll understand." |

RE: Station 'Dis, Station 'Dat
[OH JESUS I'M SO SORRY GUYS. My comp died a week after Skyes posted and I had to wipe the memory and all. I imported my old bookmarks but the link to the site wasn't on it. I checked my e-mail to see if I had anything from the board, and nothing. I EVEN GOOGLED IT AND FOUND NOTHING. Finally Razz im's me the link today. Thank god. I am soooo sorry. D:]
Roxie blushed a little at Tancer's comment. "I'm sure you would Tance', I'm sure you would." She listened to Skyes' vain attempts at singing and couldn't help but laugh. "Guests...for the first time, in how long? 9 months? And they had to be two guys. How to entertain them..." She racking her mind for an idea of how to keep the conversation lively. "Er, are you guys...hungry?" She asked. If she had nothing in the refrigerator for the three of them, she'd have to go downstairs to the landlady and ask for some ingredients. Hopefully, there would be enough. |
