Tancer Fang on Sep. 03 2008,20:38

Tancer throttled his engine, coming to a smooth half at a spot he used to know. The sight of what was once his gym, now a charred skeleton of black husk. As was much of the outskirts he had traveled through. What ever had hit the city, the older district was pretty fire prone. It must have set fire to this part of the city, little cared for it would have burned and no one would have been the wiser to it.
Save for one fox, a purple vulpine whom stayed on his bike. A mortified expression on his face, easily seen by his passenger through the side view mirrors.
"This... is my home..." He said his voice filled with anguish.

Roxie was quick to get off. She took the glasses off her face and slid them into her back jean pocket. This was the new Radical. The old Radical she had known wasn't eventful, but it had a calming effect over her with its older districts and their bright colors and the newer district with their tall grey skyscrapers. What lay before her was the blackened remains of a sleepy city that was not prepared for its demise.

"Tancer..? Are you okay..?" Roxie turned back towards him and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

[All I've ever seen of Radical, I got from SA2, so I'm being a little creative]

He got off his bike, taking a few slow steps away from her. Allowing her hand to slip off his shoulder gently. After a few moments of nothing, he fell to his knee's and hand's. "Why!?" He let loose a roar of anger, smashing his fist against the ground. His arm went half way into the sooty soil.
After another moment, he forced himself up, wiping something from his eyes. "Lets go, Babe. we'll find a place to crash or what ever." He said in a meloncholy tone. He sagged his shoulders, getting back on his bike after the out burst.

Roxie stared at the spot where Tancer had just been. She glanced back at what used to be the gym before turning to face him again.
"Where would we go? Personally I need some time to rest from all this...running." she told him.
She wanted to go back to Station Square to sleep in her warm bed. Jack would be happy to hear that she's alright too. She really didn't care where they crashed, she just needed to recharge her batteries. She walked back towards the bike and got on. Roxie took the glasses from her back pocket and slid them back on. She wrapped her arms around his waist, waiting for his response.

Tancer let out a heavy sigh, the thoughts racing through his head. He tried to think of what to do next, the best move to make, but all that came up in his mind was "Everyone I love is dead" and "I don't wanna be me".
He revved his engine, the thundering engine actually helped him concentrate.
"You up for heading back? Nothing to do in this heap, might as well scram."
He felt her touch once again, and eased his tremors of grief he had been feeling.
"I'll get you back to Station no problem. Uhhh, thanks for tagging along so far, it's been a trip." He smirked letting out a "heh". The usual Tancer was starting to resurface.

"Yeah, we could go to my place. I'm sure you kind of want to leave after all of this." Roxie replied back. "So what is this, the end of our little 'adventure'?" She thought to herself. She was hoping that once they got back to her apartment, maybe they could get to know each other a little better and become friends. "Looks like he needs a friend.."
"So let's get going." She squeezed him again, in hopes of lightening the mood.

Tancer exhaled deeply, bringing the bike around, heading back the direction they had come from. He throttled his engine, not as much of rush now, he kept the cycle at an even pace, heading back to Station Square.
He smiled slightly to himself feeling Roxie's embrace. "Alright, that's cool, babe." he said with his usual air of machismo "This has been one hell of a trip, but life aint over quite yet. What is it that they tell you? 'You just gotta keep trying?"
He still felt the shock deep with i his gut, but for now it may have been to great. He pushed it back and out of his mind, to deal with it in smaller pieces.

((Not even 2 pages and back to cross country, lol. Well we'll use the same ol' topic))

Roxie turned a dark shade of red. "How did he know about that?" She was getting slightly annoyed by his machismo. But Tancer was Tancer, and it was entertaining actually.
"Yeah...I guess. I'll tell you where to go exactly." She told him.
