[Nail Strafer]

While it was just another day on the job for Lionranger, Giichi watched in wonder as the red ranger hopped into his beam of light and was teleported into his mechanical zord. Would that really happen if he did it too?

"Here goes nothing!"

He jumped into the air, and immediately a yellow light flashed all around him, practically blinding him. Then he felt his stomach descend, as a powerful force yanked him straight up and then diagonally through the air. The park shrunk far below him, as he felt his stomach descending inside his body. While exciting, his jaw gaped open behind the mask. This felt eerie and frightening too, as if he were in an invisible roller coaster.

Another bright flash of light later, and he was inside his cockpit. Giichi paused for a moment to gaze around at all of the buttons. A smile crossed his face. To think...first a ranger, and now his own zord. He could die happy today, if he wanted to. But then the smile faded away as a sinking realization came to him. How the hell did the rangers learn to drive these things anyway? In the first episode when they get their powers, they just always hopped in and just started fighting away. But would that happen to him too?

He looked down at the joysticks, as his hands clasped around them.

"Hey, cat!" Lionranger called out over the radio. "You're slow! Hurry up and get in here!"

Giichi looked up and saw the red lion zord already stomping into battle towards the oversized lizard. The cat gulped.

"Well...I've never done this before sir! It took me a while to learn how to drive stick, and this is a bit more complicated than that!"

"Just push the joysticks forward! The zords are programmed to interact with your neural system while you're in ranger form. Whatever you think about doing, the zord will do along with you. It's like an extension of your body."

Oooh, so is that how it's done? Well, here goes!

He pushed the joysticks towards the big lizard. The gigantic sand cat zord growled appropriately, as it stomped down the street at the gigantic monster.

[Stormer Aurion]

Lizfalos roared back in agony from these attacks from the zords and proceeded to strike at the Lion and Sandcat zords with his large claws. He slashed at the large red and yellow cats, causing explosions and sending sparks flying to the ground below.

"Hang on you two, I'm coming!" Stormer pushed forward on the joysticks and rushed into battle. He charged in with the Black Panther zord and proceeded to pounce on Lizfalos' back to try and buy some time for Giichi and Lionranger to move back. "Guys, you think it's time to form a Megazord and stomp this oversized lizard?"

[Giichi Twinkieland]

"Whoa!" Giichi covered his face, as sparks flew off the control panel.

Even with his armor, he could still feel the heat from the flaming projectiles. Then again, it wasn't really armor but spandex, so he guessed that was to be expected.

Meanwhile, Lionranger gasped in surprise behind his mask at Stormer's suggestion. "I...I was going to say that. How did you know I was going to get us to form the Megazord?" He shook his head. "Well, we might as well do it. The monster never seems to go down until the megazord comes out anyway. MEGAZORD! TRANSFORM!"

The Lionzord's limbs quickly folded into its main body, while the body reared back so that the head was sitting tall, as if on a human.

"Holy crap!" Giichi shrieked, as his cat zord suddenly broke into two pieces. These rapidly configured themselves to form the arms. Giichi watched as best as he could from his dizzying perspective, while the two arms floated to connect to the Lionranger's body. Meanwhile, the black panther ranger would begin to form into the legs.

The black panther zord split down the middle as well, forming a pair of legs that snapped onto the combination of the other zords as it came down. The lion head of Lionranger's zord detached its jaw, letting it move downward and revealing a metallic human-like face with glowing green eyes. The sandcat and panther zord's tails enlarged and combined, forming a bo staff. A computerized voice shouted out, "MEGAZORD ACTIVATED!" as the combination sequence finished.

"Wooza! I feel a bit dizzy!" All three ranger's cockpits moved to the head and formed a larger cockpit. "Enough chitchat, let's get this freak!"

Lizfalos wasn't happy about his reduced odds of success, and charged at the Megazord, claws swinging. He wasn't planning on going back to Tartarus in several pieces and failure.

"I have no idea how we all got here in the middle." Giichi gazed around the cockpit. To think, he'd just been part of a mecha transformation sequence. On TV it didn't make sense how they all met in the middle. And now he'd actually been through the same experience, and he STILL didn't know how it worked. "Not to mention, how come you always need three people to drive this thing? Wouldn't it be more efficient to just have one person man the controls?"

"SANDRANGER!" Lionranger bellowed angrily, from his place right in the middle of the cockpit. "Less talking more driving! I need you to work the arms!"

The megazord awkwardly tried to lean back to avoid the Lizfalos's attack, since it couldn't use its arm for balance without Giichi's help. Giichi looked outside, and then noticed they were about to step on a school bus.

"Whoa! Hey Black, whoever you are, get those legs working right!"

Giichi pushed the arms outwards as fast as he could, to keep the giant robot from teetering over due to a lack of balance.

[Stormer Aurion]

"Whoa! I'm trying, I'm trying! I've never piloted an actual Megazord before!" Stormer quickly pulled back on the joysticks in front of him, keeping the Megazord from losing its balance. "Phew, that was a close one!" Stormer was both excited and nervous at the same time. He had been a fan of Sentai for years, but never once did he imagine he'd be part of a real one.

In the school bus, all of the adorable little children in their gakuran and sailor suits shrieked. The foot of the megazord cracked the pavement just to the left of the bus. Needless to say, the driver quickly hurried the bus out of the area as fast as he could.

"Okay you guys, now we need to go on the offensive!" Lionranger whirled around to face Giichi. "Sand! Use the arms and whack him with the bo staff!"

"Okay! Okay! Hope I'm doing this right!"

Giichi wasn't sure how to manipulate the joysticks to swing the bo. However, that neural connectivity thing appeared to still be working okay, as the bo whirled around in a nice circular blow, before the megazord released one hand in order to swing it again a second time.

[Stormer Aurion]

Lizfalos recoiled back in pain from the Bo staff strikes, and proceeded to lash at the Megazord with it's claws.

Sparks and explosions were sent flying, and Stormer felt the heat of the explosions from his station in the cockpit. Argh! He took out about 14% of the chest armor with those swipes! We can't let him hit us again! Stormer turned around and looked at his teammates. Think it's time we finish this freak?

[Nail Strafer]

"That made me realize something..." Giichi said, stroking the "chin" on his helmet, as he looked over at Lionranger "Why don't you just use that finishing move from the start if it's so powerful? It always seems to kill them in one hit."

Lionranger spun around to explain. "You gotta soften up their chests with a few good whacks before you blast a laser right through their torso."

"How does punching and kicking them make it easier to shoot them with something?"

Lionranger growled behind his helmet, still looking at Giichi.

"Well it's... Oh never mind! Let me just get the big laser charged up!"

Lionranger slammed a big red lever in front of him forward, causing some type of power readout on a screen in front of him to surge from green to red. Meanwhile Giichi looked out the window, noting that Lizfalos had been polite enough to wait while they talked. He thought this was odd until he realized that this happened often in toku too, so he just rolled with it.

[Stormer Aurion]

The laser then finished charging, as Lizfalos had an "Oh No" ook on his ugly face. "Alright, freakshow, time to eat plasma! Fire!", Stormer exclaimed. The chest-mounted cannon fired large projections of the rangers' respective cats, which then combined into a ball of plasma energy that hit the giant lizard. When the blast finished, Lizfalos was left with a huge gaping hole in his chest, and then he fell over and blew up into ashes. "Alright! We did it! Not bad for our first monster takedown, eh guys?", Stormer asked.
