Sorry if things have a been a bit slow on my end folks. I'd like to say work is dragging me down a bit, but that's really not much of an excuse since things have only started getting heavy the last week or so.

In any event, sorry to the crew all sitting on their thumbs waiting for Mammoth to kick things off in Solenna. Honestly, I had hoped that whole recruiting Zyra would have progressed faster, or that the rest of you might have taken longer getting to Solenna first, but oh well, can't help either of those things. In any event, I'm now finished with all the crazy busy weekends of late so HOPEFULLY I can devote some brain power to getting the Solenna thread rolling... FINALLY!

I think it's worthy of getting a TV Tropes page!" I'm figuring out what tropes apply to the current version of this RP, and you guys can help!

It does sound like a good way to get our name out there It's actually been twelve years now, since I believe we started in 2002.

Excluding Viper, pretty much everyone who was here at the board's creation is pretty well gone.

However, I have been here since 2004 so I can tell you about some prior board events. Nail's profile is actually a good place to start, because his backstory shows his perspective on the prior round's events.

Is there any precedent for a universe that hasn't crossed over yet, but has begun to slowly lose the bonds that stabilize it?

I've been drafting a few ideas for a large event centered around saving Shazbot's universe from crossing over. It would set the stage for an endgame scenario, repairing the shattered universe and preventing other realities from collapsing. However, it would would push Rimgar forward as the primary antagonist, or else it would create a whole new villain, an OC that ties everything together.

Yeah, I've been binging on Super Robot Wars. Can you tell? In any case, this is something that we'd save for much later, after everyone has had a chance to get a full run of their character. The rate we're posting though, it'll be YEARS before we get to that point.

Not to sound pushy, but do you think we can pick up the pace? I'm busy all week, yet I still find time to hop on here twice a week and check up on the threads. Sometimes I'm left waiting 2 weeks before my turn comes around! I know forum RPGs are by nature a slow, deliberate process, but this is getting ridiculous.

No, we haven't had a plotline like yours yet Shaz, but it does sound like an intriguing idea. I don't actually know anything about Super Robot Wars besides the name.

I'd like it if everyone could post faster too, but well...this is the problem with having your board mostly full of late teens to adults. Everyone's got lots of other responsibilities, and at this board it's our tradition to respect everyone's real life responsibilities first, and the board second. Pacing's going to suffer as a result, and that's acceptable to me.

Have you considered introducing some smaller NPCs that could do other plotlines? I would throw in more characters myself, but our limit is four and I hit that a long time ago (Nail, Gail, Giichi, Robotnik). I actually don't know why we instituted the four-character limit in the first place. Maybe it was so if someone suddenly left the board, a ton of plotlines wouldn't be left crippled.

Hey again guys.

I wanted to discuss something with you all. If I recall, we've been using the current plotline since 2009. Mind you, what I'm about to suggest is merely that, a suggestion. There are currently no plans or anything to do this.

But anyway, would you guys be interested in doing a plotline reset, so that everyone can start with a clean slate? I feel like our newcomers have been left out when it comes to building our little world here. A reset would be the perfect opportunity for everyone to share their input on storylines going forward. Shaz, I know you've wanted to do this for sure.

If you like some things in the current plotline, we can keep them for the next iteration. I'd especially be intrigued to see what Mammoth will do

If not, I'm open to other ideas to rejuvenate interest in the board.

Personally, I cant wait to square up against Mammoth. To that point though I don't really have an opinion for or against a reset. I will admit that getting into the story has been a little hectic given the rather unorthodox medium. Beyond that, there has been the fear that I would do something that would clash with the previous "Tails" players actions.
