Zyra Zteller
Hi guys. In an effort to create a bit more activity, since new people (Shaz and Stormer) are coming in from the sides, I figured I should use the third of my character slots, before trying to bring the lost little robot back. So...
Name: Zyra Zteller Sex: Female Aliases: Bethany, Rydia, Kyra Age: 27 Species: Anthro Dragon Faction: Currently none Alignment: Villain Appearance: An actual drawn reference that is kind of huge Zyra stands roughly 5 feet 10 inches tall, with messy red hair pulled back into a pony tail. Her black scales are accented by her white horns, claws, and chest, though its doubtful anyone here will see the latter of that. She has a fairly muscular build, which includes her tail, which is just long enough that she needs to curl it up a bit to prevent dragging. Her small wings aren't really enough to lift her off the ground, though they can provide her with a bit of glide time if need be. Personality: While Zyra seems to be happy at first glance, she's rather snappish and loves to dish out insults to anyone dumb enough to provoke her. She has one main goal, and will stomp anyone who tries to stop her: She's power hungry. She wants control over as much as she can get, and she'll use any advantage she can take to get it. She isn't flat out hostile to anyone except those actively hunting her. When not in pursuit of her goals, and escaping the cops, she enjoys to rest in the sun, and is quite partial to sweets, whether they be fruits or candies. Family: N/A Transport: N/A Biography: Zyra was born as an average citizen in what most would consider a very awkward place, that place being the No Zone. The No Zone is a dimension that intersects many, if not all others, due to it's unique placement among them, as it is at a 90 degree angle to the others. It is the home of the Zone Cops, a police force designed to maintain the balance between different dimensions, and regulate dimensional travel as needed. As a child, Zyra would best have been described as a handful. She was very selfish, very arrogant, and very nasty to anyone who attempted to know her. Her guardians assumed that she would grow out of this attitude, but she only grew worse with age. Upon becoming a legal adult, her actions (theft, assault and battery, vandalism, etc...) finally caught up with her, and she was dragged to court, with an option. She could either rot in the No Zone prison, under the questionable care of Warden Zobotnik, or put her aggression and deft fingers to work for the Zone Cops. As the force would come to regret, she took their deal and signed up. As befit her lifestyle, she exceeded in the arresting aspect of her new job, but was expectedly poor at the interaction aspects. She was described several times as loose cannon, but no one really knew what her real intentions were. Behind the scenes, she was enabling some of the worse members of the multiverse access to the Cosmic Highway, and removing the evidence that they had been there. She managed to hide her operations until Master Mogul's rampage across the Cosmic Interstate caused greater attention to be paid to everything, and she was caught. Once Master Mogul was stopped, and the Zones restored, she was promptly arrested and thrown in jail, stripped of her rank, authority, and gear. She was sentenced to 10 years with no parole, and no chance of rejoining the Zone Cops. During her time in prison, she worked on her physique, mostly with strength training, and some cardio. During her "free time" she made several petty schemes with other inmates as well, getting herself and them some time in solitary, when they were caught. Sometime after her incarceration, however, Dr. Eggman Nega, on his way to who knows what, or possibly even planned as a distraction, started open war with the entire No Zone. In the ensuing chaos and destruction, she slipped free from her cell, and indeed the entire prison, making her way back into Zone Cop HQ. Her goal was simple; recover her gear and make a run for the Interstate. It would be fair to say it was a success. She managed to recover a few pieces of gear, and made it onto the Interstate, where she slipped through Nega's forces by, well, force. As she made her way down some of the further out ramps, something happened. First, the sky around her began to glow. Her gravitational stabilization boots began shorting out, and she started losing her footing as her own natural balance tried to fight against the boots. The air around her started to feel extremely charged, and before she knew it, her visor was reading extreme amounts of both Chaos and Sol energy breaking up the Zone walls around her. She took one last glance down, just in time to see the Cosmic Interstate crumble beneath her, sending her tumbling into the abyss, falling to someplace new... Equipment: Standard issue Zone cop gear: Dimensional Analysis Visor: While this device usually requires a link to the Zone Cop HQ to display information on targets, it is still capable of scanning the amounts of Chaos and Sol energy in an area, as well as identifying species and basic health information. Zone Cop Standard Issue Armor: While this normally consists of a reinforced jumpsuit with plated shoulder guards, utility belt, and a helmet, Zyra has removed the shoulder guards and helmet, as well as removing the sleeves of her suit. The utility belt has a holster, as well as several small pockets containing flash bangs, sound snaps, and smoke pellets. Gravitational Stabilization Boots: Due to the No Zone's nature of being at a 90 degree angle to other zones, No Zoners usually appear to walk on the walls of other dimensions. These boots, however, are designed to cancel out that effect, and allow them to walk on the ground of Zones they visit. Without them, Zyra's No Zone affiliation would cause her to turn sideways and stand on the first wall she can find. Zone Cop Laser Pistol: Fits in the aforementioned holster, the Zone Cops believe in rehabilitation more than termination, so their weapons are designed to fire off non-lethal shots that numb the affected body part targeted. The inability to feel one's legs when running, or arms when aiming, is disabling to all but the most highly trained agents. It has a charge of 10 rounds before needing a few minutes to recharge. Anyone skilled with such technology could probably rework it to fire all ten rounds worth of energy at once, to completely incapacitate a foe. Moves/Fighting Style: Simply put: Brute Force. Zyra never bothered with any formal training for a fighting style, instead always preferring to use her pistol to disorient a target, and then use her weight and strength to pummel them, or her claws to do some lasting damage. Failing these options, she'll let someone else provide a distraction, while she moves into position to crush her enemy, and likely her "ally" as well. Skills: Take a bit outta crime!: Her teeth, as would be expected of any dragon's, are very sharp, and very tough. In close quarters with a target she doesn't need alive, she isn't afraid to open wide and try for a free meal. Whose afraid of heights?: As mentioned earlier, while her wings aren't big enough to allow her to fly, they can catch some air and allow her to glide down from high places. Provided, of course, that she's conscious. Strengths: Zyra is physically strong, and rather sturdy as a result. She can make decent plans, but never very far in advance. Weaknesses: While Zyra could perform arrests across multiple Zones with ease, this was due to her teammates and Zone Cop technology. Without any sort of movement gear, she's only of an average speed. Her plans also usually require waiting on others, since her manipulation skills are sub-par at best. Profile update: The No Zone The No Zone, or perhaps it should be called the First Zone, was the first of many to spring forth from creation. While it was originally a horizontal Zone, like all the others, it lacked any sort of "power" like the Chaos or Sol energies of other Zones. When Zones with these energies sprang into existence, the resulting energies knocked the unprotected No Zone off kilter, turning it 90 degrees, with respect to each other zone. This created the Zone's unique property of intersecting the other Zones in imperceptible ways. It also had the effect of forcing pieces of the normal Zones into the No Zone, which when brought together, stretched the fabric of the multiverse to create pathways back to the Zones they came from. When this property was discovered, the No Zoners forged the Zone pieces into a interdimensional roadway, calling it the Cosmic Interstate. It became the physical manifestation of the Zones crossing through each other, and was the discovery allowing No Zoners to safely and easily traverse dimensions. It was only some short time later that they realized that this could be used in reverse, and while it could be used benevolently, they had the foresight to realize such benevolence only came about after great evil. Thus, the Zone Cops were formed, a group of dedicated No Zoners, watching the multiverse, and keeping people ignorant of their, and the Cosmic Interstate's, existence, except in the most dire of circumstances. Life in the No Zone is very similar to life in any other organically dominated Zone. Most people live ordinary lives, be they humans, Mobians, or something between. Due to the attention and skills required to maintain multiversal balance, even those that would be villains in other Zones are dedicated to the Zone Cops in some way or another. Due to this, the No Zone is a predominantly peaceful place, with only petty crimes, as opposed to the dictators and tyrants of other places. Due to the tilt of the Zone, No Zoners who visit other Zones, and vice versa, appear to stand on the walls rather than the ground, without the aid of the Zone Cop's special Gravitational Stabilization Boots, which orient the user according to local gravity rather than home gravity. This is the largest difference between the No Zone and any other, with the only other notable difference is every name beginning with the letter 'Z' in the No Zone. |
