Jet the Hawk
Name: Jet the Hawk
Age: 17 Sex: Male Species: Hawk Alignment: Neutral Appearance: Jet is green, with white tufted chest feathers and a crest of five very large green feathers and two much smaller ones on his head. The tips of his crest feathers are a darker shade of green, as are the tips of his three tail feathers. He also has a dark green flame pattern on his arms. He wears white gloves with red-and-black tongues held by silver bands, and he wears tall red boot bearing a black symbol consisting of three arrows pointing to the toe. Each boot has a white cuff at the top. Jet has sky blue eyes, fringed with a black-and-red border on the furthest edge of each eye. He also has a bright yellow beak, and a pair of gray riding goggles with yellow lenses and an elastic strap for easy use. Finally, he wears a thick, gray stone ring inlaid with a green gem on his right wrist. Personality: Jet usually comes across as arrogant and lazy. He doesn’t like responsibility, and he loves to do whatever he wants. He is somewhat similar to Sonic in that he loves speed and the freedom it brings, though he is somewhat lacking in a sense of honor and justice, as he is perfectly willing to lie, cheat, and steal his way to the top. He answers to nobody but himself, and he likes keeping it that way. Jet is also very arrogant, and he thinks he is better than anyone else. This results in Jet being quick to anger, especially when his pride is hurt or when he is shown up by someone, especially in speed. Family: None (Deceased) Transport: His Extreme Gear, a rounded white board with green markings. (His board from Riders Zero-G.) Weapons: Jet utilizes a pair of large, heavy fans, made from large green feathers, to attack his opponents. Not only are they strong melee weapons, but they can create strong gusts of wind as well. Jet also uses a gray stone ring inlaid with a green gem of some sort, which allows him control over gravity. If push comes to shove, Jet can also use his Extreme Gear as a weapon, though it is large and unwieldy, making it very impractical except in desperate situations. Biography: Jet was the last child of a dying clan, a clan that descended from the ancient civilization of Babylon. As a child, he was taught how to use the Extreme Gear, a hover board of sorts whose origins could be dated all the way back to Babylon’s heyday. He trained in Extreme Gear for years, becoming extremely skilled in its use. However, his clan was slowly dying out, as most of its surviving members were too old to bear children. One by one they died out, until Jet alone remained, the last known survivor of his people. He refused to believe he was alone, however, and he believed firmly that another branch of his clan existed and thrived somewhere else, and he was determined to find them. The first thing he resolved to do was to seek out the Babylon Garden, the ancient ancestral home of the Babylon Rogues, the greatest band of thieves of all time and the ancestors of Jet’s clan. The Garden had been lost for thousands of years, however, and so Jet had no leads to go off of, until one day he discovered a floating island. The Babylon Garden was, according to legend, also a massive floating island. And so, intrigued, Jet flew off to investigate. He found a lot of jungle and a lot of ruins, as well as a really big green emerald, but no trace of the Babylon Rogues. Finally, on a stormy night, as he took shelter in a forgotten cave in the base of the island, Jet found something. Deep within the cave, he discovered an ancient alter, housing a gray stone ring inlaid with a green gem. Using his knowledge of Babylonian text, passed down through the generations of his clan, he read the inscription upon the alter. It claimed that the ring was one of five keys to resurrecting the Babylon Garden, and that when all five were brought together the ancient island would arise from it’s hidden location and reveal itself to the world. It also claimed that the rings would allow their user to become the master of gravity itself. And so Jet resolved to seek out the other four rings, as well as attempt to master the one he had, so that he could resurrect the Babylon Garden and find his people. He roamed the lands, searching for some clue, some hint of where the rings could be found. To survive he became a skilled thief as his ancestors, the Babylon Rogues, were. To honor them and his purpose, he began to call himself the Babylon Rogue. He hasn’t stopped searching. Moves: -Turbulence: Jet swings one or both of his fans, causing a heavy gust of wind that has about the strength of a punch, capable of knocking back enemies a short distance. -Gravity Dive: Jet uses his ring to generate a black hole, which allows Jet to fly forwards at blinding speeds. This can sometimes pull in small objects, but it has no effect on other people. Jet cannot use this move indefinitely, and he cannot turn while using this move. -Gravity Control: Jet uses his ring to create a bubble of null-gravity around him, causing him to drift for a time while allowing him to turn himself in midair before rocketing off with a strong speed boost in his new direction. Jet can aim himself at an opponent for a heavy blow, or he can aim at a wall to alter his own gravity, allowing himself to ride on the wall for a time. He can also use a form of this move to eliminate gravity in an area for roughly 10-20 seconds. Skills: -Extreme Gear Mastery: Jet is incredibly skilled with all forms of Extreme Gear, the most so with the Board type. -Basic Extreme Gear Mechanic: Jet has the skills required to do basic mechanical work on Extreme Gears, though he is not incredibly skilled in this field. -High-Speed Reflexes: Through years of training, Jet has learned to have incredibly fast reflexes on an Extreme Gear, so he is able to dodge objects in his path at ridiculous speeds, though at high enough speeds his reflexes aren’t fast enough. -Thievery: Jet is an excellent thief, quite skilled in the art of staying undetected when necessary, and more skilled in the art of getting the heck out of there if he is detected. He is also a proficient pickpocket and lock pick. Strengths: - Jet is very skilled with Extreme Gear, and with one he is incredibly fast. On his Extreme Gear Jet’s speed can possibly match or even surpass Sonic’s, although it’s never been tested. - Jet is good at what he does and he knows it. He has good sense, and he can usually gauge his abilities fairly well. He doesn’t often get into something he isn’t likely to beat. - Jet’s gravity powers often put off his opponents when he first uses them, as they are not exactly something you see every day. Jet is quite skilled in using this element of surprise to his advantage in both combat and racing. - Jet bounces back from a loss fairly easily. When he looses he doesn’t spend a lot of time moping about it; instead he’ll usually try again immedietly and try even harder. Weaknesses: - Jet is incredibly arrogant and proud, and he will throw out all reason if his pride is hurt, which isn’t too hard. - Jet is fairly gullible, and he’ll usually take what people say at face value. This makes him easy to fool once, though on the second time he is usually more wary and much harder to trick. - On foot, Jet’s speed isn’t particularly amazing. He can run at about sixty miles an hour at maximum, but only when sprinting all-out. His average speed is roughly forty mph, making him no match for faster opponents on foot. - Though his speed may match Sonic’s on when on an Extreme Gear, he looses a lot of cornering ability. Unlike Sonic, who can turn on a dime, Jet must either lean into a turn, which usually ends in a crash, or use Gravity Control. He also often goes too fast to make a turn in time, even with Gravity Control. |
