SA EX Grand Prix
Name: Character name you desire to enter.
{Optional information inserted here including but not limited to, age, species, appearance, etc.} Stats: You character stats based on the following profile; Basic Stats: Thrust: ** Agility: ** Stability: ** You are allowed to add an addition 4 points to spend increasing these stats above the basic level. You may take points away from one stat to add to another but no stat can be lower than 1 or higher than 5. Thrust covers your max speed and the rate at which you can charge you Ion Drive move (see later section below). Agility is a measure of your ability to accelerate and your ability to take corners. Stability governs how many gear changes you can perform during a race (see later section below) and how your performance alters when riding a Ion Drive Slipstream (see later section below). Board Type: There are numerous different types of boards available to you as a racer. Each has their own advantage and disadvantage as follows: Standard Type: The normal and most common type of board available to all. They suffer no penalty but also do not have any special type of advantage. They are the only board type that can use the ‘type’ select gear change. Skate Type: Taking the form of a pair of boots this type of board gives incredible grinding ability. Users of this board type can always grind but cannot perform any ‘type’ select gear changes (refer to later section). Fly Type: Taking a variety of forms, these boards are masters of the air. The user can use flight rings regardless of the situation but cannot use ‘type’ select gear changes (refer to a later section). Power Type: Large and bulky, this board type is very powerful. Users are permanently under the power type gear change and can make an attack every 3 posts (refer to later section). They cannot perform any ‘type’ select gear changes. Yacht Type: Specialist air type boards capable of amazing performance. They can use flight rings without hindrance and automatically gain a +1 to all stats when riding an Ion Drive Slipstream in addition to any other bonuses. They cannot use ‘type’ select gear changes or Ion Drives (refer to later section). Wheel Type: Specialist power type boards. They are permanently under the power type gear change, can perform an attack ever 3 posts and can use a special slide turn that enables them to take sharper corners easier than other boards. However, they suffer an automatic –1 penalty to their thrust stat and cannot ride Ion Drive Slipstreams. Ion Drive Charge: Posts required to charge your Ion Drive. Ion Drive Slipstream Bonus: The bonus, or penalty, you encounter when riding a Ion Drive Slipstream. Gear Changes: Number of gear changes you can perform during a race. You must also detail here which gear changes you have selected. You may select up to three different changes which you can use during the race. Please note that you are still limited by your allowed total, so you may select 3 different changes you could use but if you can only use 2 during a race you must pick which to use and when. [Note: If you want to use the same gear change more than once you have to select it more than once.] {Optional information including but not limited to: Board description, bio, racing style, etc} That deals with the profile, now some general information on the specifics. Ion Drives: Ion Drives are powerful moves that are generated by accumulating a charge within your boards drive system. The time to accumulate the required charge is equal to the following sum: Seven (7) - Board Thrust Rating = Required Posts to Charge So as you can see, the higher your thrust rating the faster this will charge. For example, someone with a thrust of 5 will charge an Ion Drive in 2 posts, whilst someone with a thrust of 1 will take 6 posts to charge it. The required charge rate is determined before the race and does not change. Once charged the charge remains until used, upon which point you must charge again to use. The effect of an Ion Drive is a sudden jump in your board’s thrust stat. This boost is equal to 2 points and can push the stat above the normal maximum of 5. The effect lasts for two posts but be aware that the incredible speed makes taking corners extremely difficult. [Note: During the use of an Ion Drive you cannot accumulate a charge for your next one.] Ion Drive Slipstream: Slipstreams are generated behind any player using an Ion Drive. They extend behind the user in the form of a large air disruption. Any player can ride one of these slipstreams to achieve a bonus if they are in the same section of the course...but at a cost. Anyone in a slipstream gains an addition point in thrust while they remain in the wake. [Note: As the Ion Drive only lasts two posts them this is also the maximum slipstream ride limit.] However, the added turbulence of the wake affects your Agility as follows: Wake Agility = Normal Agility + Stability - 3 This looks a little odd but let me explain. Say a player has an Agility of 3 and a Stability of 2. This would create the following sum: 3 + 2 - 3 ---> 2 As you can see, because their stability isn't high enough they suffer a penalty of one point to their agility when they ride a slipstream. For another example, a player has an agility of 2 but a stability of 5. Let's see what happens! 2 + 5 - 3 ---> 4 Due to their stability stat being high this player actually achieves a massive two point BONUS when riding a slipstream. Like Ion Drive Charge, this number is figured out before the race starts and doesn't change. Gear Changes: As previously mentioned boards have the ability to use gear changes in order to improve their performance. The following sum determines the number of times you can change your Gear during a race. Gear Change Total = (1 + Stability) / 2 This sum is always rounded down giving a number between 1 and 3. This is the number of times you can change your gear in a race. Gears changes are detailed below and last for 3 posts: Type Select Gear Changes: These gear changes are only useable by standard type boards: Grind Type: Allows the user to use grind rails. Fly Type: Allows the user to use flight rings. Power Type: Power type boards can smash through obstacles with no penalty and allow a player to perform a single physical attack against an opponent. Regardless of what the attack does the effect is the same, the defending player has their thrust cut to zero and must regain speed. [Note: A player can counter an attack by changing to a power type and attacking back at the same time. In this case both attacks are negated.] General Gear Changes: These changes can be used by any board. Power Burst: Adds +1 to your thrust stat. Force Bubble: Creates a powerful barrier around you that prevents players with a power type gear change attacking you. Ion Booster: Allows 2 posts worth of Ion Drive charge to be accumulated in a single post. Course Notes: Course are currently in development and will be released in due time. The following is some basic information that will be common to all courses. Course Structure: Each course will be designed progressively more difficult than the last. Each course will be split into a number of sections with each section taking a post to pass through. Grinding Rails: Rails will allow players to reach alternative routes that will either be quicker than the standard course or yield some sort of bonus. Flight Rings: These rings will not shorten the course like grinding rails but will instead instantly max your thrust and agility stats to 5 stars for the remainder of the course section you are in. Following this your stats return to normal. Some courses will have strings of these. Power Routes: Some courses will have routes that only power characters can traverse effectively. These routes are shorten than others but none power type characters suffer a –1 penalty to all stats when taking them. Championship layout: Once sign ups are complete all competitors will be placed into random groups of four people. These players will then race against each other in three different races. A win scores 10 points, second scores 7, third scores 4 and fourth scores 1. The player with the most points at the end goes on to race in a final competition against the winners of the other leagues for ultimate glory. Sample Profile: Below is a sample profile showing a basic layout. In it's base form, it takes the form of a board. In power mode, it becomes a motorcycle, and in flight mode, it reverts to the form of his backpack in flight mode, though it has a pair of jet boosters comeing from its sides pointing back. Tutley's (correction) ION burst comes in the form of his board revealing a somewhat large support engine that sticks out from the rear of his board. T.J will usually fly beside Tutley in a race, keeping up by staying in his slipstream. His extreme gear IS a backpack, so he can perform a wide variety of attacks. It was a birth day present from Joe and it quickly turned into project for Joe and him. Over the time Cho Zin had owned it he and Joe had modified it here and there and have increased its stability, thrust, and agility to the best of there limited ability as well as modifying its look. Cho Zin had practiced with Joe when he had the free time or when Joe was off school for the weekend or when he was on break. Over time Cho has become quite skilled at aerial maneuvers due to Joe's constant nagging and pushing. Then one day... Out of the blue... Joe comes up with the hair brain idea of entering the upcoming EX Grand Prix, and the thing was he had some how gotten a hold of a sign up sheet and pressured Cho Zin into signing up for it. Cho didn't think they would ACTUALLY get a reply saying they were in. So now he has been getting as well prepared for the compatishion as he can. He rides for team Street Composer, Joe thought up the name when Cho expressed that he "didn't care as long as it was tasteful." The Board looks something along the lines of a Viola due to its dark color and the fact it is wider in the back and mid area and comes to a slender neck in the front. Links: Yachts get gear changes, just not type select changes. I've also editted your stats. Add in your gear changes and I'll take another look. RE: SA EX Grand Prix
Quick question. Could I enter Maddock as a part of to Grand Prix Medical staff? It just seems that - High Speed + no Protective gear + A prize at stake = Potential Injury.
