RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S - E-102 Gamma - 04-01-2014 12:02 PM

The machine's dome swiveled to face the stag, while his body remained aimed toward the pod. His 'tone' implied a slight sense of curiosity, fading into disappointment. "Analysis of craft reveals that it is designed to be driven by occupants with two hands. As I only have one, I appear to be unable to pilot the craft.

He turned the rest of himself to face Shaz's craft, which everyone was gathered around. He took a cursory glance at the jewel in the cyborg's hand, though it was nothing more than a shiny object to him. "Perhaps I could accompany you as well?"

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S - Chadin - 04-02-2014 09:25 AM

"Wait, what?" Shaz's response certainly caught me by surprise. "So, you mean you were always planning to help us, even if we had nothing to offer you?"

Quote:"Now the question is; what will you do next? My services are at your disposal."

Okay, now THAT really threw me for a loop. "Um... well... I... I still need to find a way for all those people down there to escape the city. Do you think you could do the same thing you did to that door and rig some of these ship to transport all of them out of here remotely? Like, an auto-pilot or something?"

Looking over to Gamma as he spoke up (which incidentally kinda freaked me out a little the way he turned his entire head around to look at me) I had to ponder that for a second. It was a bit surprising that Gamma couldn't just plug himself into the Swat-pod and fly it that way. Or maybe with some kind of wireless system. But still, there you go.

"Um... sure, I guess. The thing is though, me and Jii were just in the process of trying to escape Robotropolis. If you're looking to try and pick a fight with him, we're kind of trying to go in the opposite direction. Besides which, Robotnik's in that giant airship and on his way now. I don't think you'd stand much of a chance getting to him right now." I answered with a sympathetic shrug.

At that, Shaz opened up his chest, stashing the strange emerald in a cavity therein. [Health is now regenerating.] "Okay! Ship, ship, ship..."
He looked around the hangar, sizing up each shuttle. They were all the same size.

"Hmmm. We'll need a small fleet for all those people down there. Then there's the matter of that battleship. Maybe we could... Naw, that's too crazy, even for me! I like it!"

He faced Chadin again, his hands clasped as a huge smile played across his face. "I have a plan, and I can almost guarantee it's crazy enough to work. Maybe."

Ji couldn't help but contribute a line: "Any idea that is 'crazy enough to work' is certain to end in disaster. Disaster for whom, that's the only question."

"I couldn't have said it better myself, Your Highness," Anu concurred.

If the robot was capable of laughter, he would have done so at Chadin's implications. "I was built to serve aboard the Egg Carrier, and did for a time. I am familiar with its design, layout, and systems. Reaching Dr. Robotnik once aboard would not be a problem. Reaching the craft itself is. But since I am, again, incapable of such, I will assist your efforts to undermine his authority."

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S - Chadin - 04-20-2014 07:15 AM

[Ugh... sorry for the wait guys, massive writers block]

I couldn't help shudder thinking how insane a plan that is 'crazy enough it just might work' coming from the already insane Shaz. But, by this point, I was so tired from what I can only assume to be blood loss that I was willing to try anything if only to just achieve my objective and get out of here. "I already don't think I'm going to like this plan, but okay... what is it?"

Turning back to Gamma, I shrugged a bit. "Well, unless you can disable the guns his ship has on the outside to allow us to get in, Gamma, I don't see how we can even get you on board to start wrecking the place.

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S - Shazbot - 04-20-2014 02:15 PM

Shaz nodded as he began pacing back and forth. "Okay, here's the plan;

Step 1: We take all of these half-wrecked swatpods and set them all to a self-destruct countdown.

Step 2: We take everything that flies and split it into two groups. Group one will land in the streets and pick up the civillians. Keeping them low to the streets, they'll fly under Robotnik's very conventional and old-fashioned radar and split up, scattering to all corners of the countryside when they escape.

Step 3: While the civilians make their escape, we'll take our own small fleet of shuttles and lead them on a suicide charge against the Egg Carrier! I can sync up the autopilots of all these extra shuttles to ours and control them remotely, although I won't be able to do much more than plot a rudimentary flight path. Anything that makes it through their AA curtain will smash into the side of the ship and rattle them. As for us, we'll use the chaos and confusion to slip right past them, whereby we'll lead them on a wild goose chase, away from the fleeing civilians!

Step 4: The shuttles we left behind in step one will detonate, leaving chaos and wanton destruction in our wake and making a spectacular mess!!!"

At that last step, Shazbot began to wave his arms, a manic expression on his face. "And so, the fearless heroes will fly off into the sunset, framed from behind by a massive explosion! It's the perfect plan!" He clenched his fist, laughing maniacally.

"Also, I think I saw one of these shuttles had a martini bar, so there's that."

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S - Jijeka-Te - 04-20-2014 09:35 PM

Ji blinked. She didn't understand half of what Shaz was saying, but it sounded either brilliant or stupid. Still, it wasn't like she or Anu had any better ideas.

"For the sake of everyone here, I hope you know what you're talking about."

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S - E-102 Gamma - 04-25-2014 10:27 AM

"Such a plan has its merits, but also many risks. However. your ideas are based in common reaction, which leads to a chance of success. I may be able to assist in remote control of the vehicles, increasing their movement capabilities and adding to their ploy, if you'll allow me."

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S - Chadin - 04-28-2014 12:51 PM

I groaned as first Shaz, then Gamma contributed their various bits to the plan. Now, don't get me wrong, I wasn't groaning because I was frustrated or because their plan was terrible. In fact, the plan sounded so reminiscent of other plans my own Freedom Fighter cell might have come up with that I suddenly realized I was pretty obviously been at this gig too long, and that despite how absurd it sounded, had by far the best chance we had.

"Okay, fine. I'm in. I'm not sure which is worse, the fact that this plan sounds so much like something my own Freedom Fighter group might have tried, or the fact I like it. Shaz, Gamma, you guys go nuts and do what you have to do, but we have to hurry. Robotnik's not going to hover in the sky all day, and I'd REALLY like to get moving soon. What can I do to help?" I didn't say it out loud on account of my stupid pride, but I secretly hoped this plan wasn't going to involve me walking around too much. My cut up leg was killing me.
