The Idea Factory is my vain attempt of keeping a topic opened around here. The name of the game is ideas. Ever have a random joke that you just can’t fit into the rp; or probably never will? Listened to a song that could fit a situation that you’re character is in; or one you could see them in? Or how about situations that may never get mentioned?
The idea of the topic is to just throw your random ideas out here for everyone to read and possible discuss. I’ll give my own so that you can get an idea of what I’m talking about. I’ll have sections on each character I’ll bring up for this. You can reply to some of the ideas while giving out your own.
Tatsuhiro
There’s one situation that I image with him. Let’s say the Eggman Empire crews lands in the middle of the desert; they’re robots are all gone and the canteen has just gotten empty. Of course, this is a problem as there doesn’t appear to be anything for miles. That’s when Tatsu pips up and says that he can get them water. When handing the canteen over to him, he uses his power and fills it up. Handing it back to whomever, Snively will find this completely disgusting.
Another weird idea is Rose forcing Tatsu into being a center-piece for a fountain.
Gerald
Ballroom Blitz by Sweet. I can very well imagine a nightmare of Gerald’s following along with the song. Ballroom dancing zombies, Doctor Robotnik as a mad man, and Rose filling in as the girl in the corner.
Droswe by Queen. This song fits in with Gerald quiet well even for right now. A melancholy song of an old man remembering how things used to be.
A situation I’ve been thinking about is what would happen if Gerald’s brother, Ben, was actually alive during the merge? Perhaps he’d make a good combat npc, being his older brother and all. Not to mention it would help with the insanity bit.
History bit: The reason why Clarice and Gerald got together was Clarice’s dogged determination, and her spoiled tendencies. Considering at one point Gerald wouldn’t hardly give the time of day to her (as he was far too sucked into books to pay attention), she found a way to finally get his attention. By going to his home and telling his lovely parents that she was in fact his girlfriend. Since Gerald dislikes disappointing his parents, he ends up playing the game. Surprisingly though, it ended with good things.
Cornelius
I thought of a background situation where Sonic and Cornelius have a little drinking contest. In the early ages, Nel was very competitive against Sonic; since he was out to get him and all. And much so to the point where he would call him out and say he could drink more than the hog. How it ends, I’m not sure, but I do see a funny image of a drunk Sonic and Nel yelling very bad insults at each other.
Seeing Nel demonstrating his powers on the streets to kids, showing the power of ‘proper discipline’ is a surprisingly a heart-warming idea to me.
No More Mr. Nice Guy by Alice Cooper. Ignoring what the song is really about, I think this fits into his personality. After all, while seeming like the Jerkass, he’s actually a lot nicer in the inside. But after a while, he did become feud up with it. This isn’t a very exact word to word type of deal, but I don’t mean it to be.

The Strafers
Hmm.... I keep thinking about what will happen once Nail Strafer runs into his dad, Gail Strafer. Of course, for those of you following the characters, Nail is 38 in this RP and Gail is 18, due to the dimensional merge messing with the timelines. I just have fun thinking about what kinds of reactions the two of them would have to each other. Like, would Nail be terrified that if Gail got killed somehow, he would cease to exist? I would imagine that would drive a lot of tension between the two, with Gail's strong desire to be independent after running away with Nail trying to protect both himself and his dad. Essentially, father and son would have reversed their roles.
Giichi Twinkieland the legendary racer!
If Giichi had not become a thief, I picture his alternative life would be auto racing. I keep thinking about drawing pictures of him about to race off around the Circuit De La Sarthe in a 1970 Porsche 917K (that's an old 24 Hours of Le Mans racing car, for those of you who don't know). Either that or he would be doing rally racing in a Lancia Delta or a Lancia Stratos.
Also, in the event his 1969 Ferrari Dino is destroyed, I have a full list of ideas for a new car he could get in its place:

I'm considering bringing Jav back into play if anyone would like that. I just don't know which incarnation I'd want to bring back. Does anyone think I should bring a new Jav to play? Any ideas out there what the new Jav could be like?

I have a villian in the works here. I was going to play her here years ago but I never finished the profile. I ran across it recently and I was thinking about maybe finishing it up.
*shrugs* just seems like there aren't enough villains around.
