RE: Rainbow Valley Respite - Gerald Robotnik - 05-13-2012 12:42 PM

[Hey, as a note, I’ll let you control the person in charge of getting Gerald out, Tutley.]

Even after the girl had left, he didn’t move from his position on the bed. He realized that sooner or later he’d have to eat something; and that he couldn’t just hide in the room forever- though as much as he wanted. As he looked towards the door a fear welded up inside him. As though as soon as he walked out of that door he’d be dead. As much as he felt that he didn’t really want to be around anymore, dying was something he was still very much afraid of. The thought of a lot opportunity, a better future (as bleak as his seemed at the moment) is what he feared most. But he equally feared the opposite. He felt like his life was the cat in the Schrödinger's experiment. The option that either it lives or dies horrible would only be known until it happened.

So to speak, he was using the thought experiment quite loosely into more realistic terms. He gave out a very short chuckle. How very ironic.

He wasn’t going to go anywhere soon, but he was getting very uncomfortable in the position he’d been sitting in for some long hours. Moving slowly, he eventually touched the cold ground with his feet and stood up. He felt his body shaking, most likely from all of his exhaustion; and he felt sore in places he didn’t imagine where possible. He hadn’t moved like that since he was a child; and he was a lot smaller and spraner then. Speaking of that, he also felt quite cramped from having to bend over due to the small ceiling. A friendly reminder of how much of a giant he was compared to these people.

He started straightening his hair (though that didn’t do him much good), and tucking his shirt back into his pants; in which he was holding up to preventing them from falling off. He then sat back down, since standing was difficult and proceeded to take his suspenders and put them on.

RE: Rainbow Valley Respite - Chadin - 05-13-2012 04:04 PM

[Uh, I think Sonic would have to reach up just to shake hands with Chadin, much less reach his antlers on his tip-toes.]

Unfortunately for me, while my antlers are firmly attached to my skull, my neck is still soft, squishy and currently being repeatedly crushed and overstretched by Gails overzealous technique.

"OW! OW!! OW!!! Gail! Quit it! OW!! You're going to -OW- pull my head -OW- right off at this rate!" I shouted in between Gail's pulling and upward shoves. But, just as Gail suspected, however rough his methods were, they proved quite effective. Just... not quite in the way he may have expected.

Suddenly, as Gail pulled down for about the fifth or sixth time, I popped free, likely crashing down on top of Gail, considering how unexpectedly I came loose. The fall knocked the wind out of me a bit, though it was probably worse for Gail if I ended up landing on top of him.

I groaned, feeling the pain in my rump from my ungainly landing. But as I rubbed my head to steady myself, my ears shot straight up and my eyes wide open. My other hand also flew up to my head, feeling the top of my skull with a panicky urgency. Sure enough, glancing upwards I could see my antlers still hanging from the ceiling. All that was left on my head were two large stumps stick up out of my fur where my antlers used to attach to my skull.

"Ooh noooo... Now look what you've done, Gail!!" I groaned with despair and frustration.

RE: Rainbow Valley Respite - Espio - 05-18-2012 08:00 AM

"Actually, that was quite the interesting story. Perhaps if you keep in touch with my village we can assist you in returning to your time and proper dimension when all this is sorted out.", he pondered, thumbing over his chin. "Excuse me a second...", he said as another ninja, another figure garbed in blue with black stripes dropping fromt he ceiling to land beside Espio. He had a rather strange figure, being hard to tell what he was under that suit aside from the pair of white horns jutting out from his forehead.

"Sir, another supposed freedom fighter has been wandering around the perimiter of the village.", he began to whisper to the chamealeon, "A scout came to intervene disguised as a traveler and him asked his story. It seems to check out with those you brought with you into the village. Shall we summon him?", he asked, the last bit audible to those nearby.

Espio glanced back up at the deer hangling from the ceiling as the others tried to pull him down, his eyes widening comically as the deer indeed came down, without his antlers though. He couldn't help but let out a laugh, the rag tag group giving him a vibe similar to that of his fellow chaotix members. He would have to find them eventually though; though that wouldn't be the easiest task seeing as how their office buried under who knows how many tons of metal from what scouts reported. That last bit caused his frown to return back to his face as he settled back into his seat. "Very well, summon him to the lounge.", he said as he pointed to a vacant spot a few feet away from the table. "We should also bring our guest down shortly...", he added as he turned away from the messenger. The blue garbed messenger nodded, quickly dashing out the front door in a blur.

A group of green garbed chamealeon's soon eneterd the lounge, a group of four as they proceeded to rapidly set up a summoning circle by using sticks of chalk to draw a circle. It took them about twenty seconds to finish the pattern. One of them gave the circle a once over, nodding in approval as a pouch of multi color powder was tossed in the middle. Each of them took up a position outside the circle, some cracking their knuckles, one twirling a staff about. As they focused, the outline would light up as they focued on the ninja that was speaking with this traveler's recall scroll. Said traveler would see her suddenly revealing a scroll, facing him as a bright light overtook them both.

With an explosion of blue and green powder contained in the circle, the two would appear; more likely than not resulting in a very confused hedgehog wondering what in blue blazes happened and where the forest he was standing around had gone. The march of footsteps from earlier may have also drawn those that were upstair's attention to the show as well.

Espio reclined in his chair as he kept an eye on everything, also taking note of the deer's antlers- they make for quite the potent cure at the pharmacy...

[And enter Alpha. Also, the summoning circle looks like this. Also roger @ Rose. http://www.filterforge.com/filters/8478.jpg ]

RE: Rainbow Valley Respite - Alpha Omega - 05-18-2012 04:28 PM

Alpha bent forward to look at the scroll as it was unraveled, only to recoil and shield his eyes as the bright light began to spill forth from it. When he opened his eyes again, he stood in the room with the others. He looked around in slight confusion, eyeing everyone in the room with slight suspicion. His gaze seems to linger a bit longer on each of the chameleons in the room, as though he's trying to recognize one of them.

"What the... Where'd I go? Did one of you teleport me in here or something? And how about a bit of warning next time you set off a sunburst in someone's face, huh?"

He rubbed his eyes a bit, blinking a lot, still a bit watery from the light from the scroll. Finally, he stared down at his feet, eyes following the pattern of the circle he stood in.

RE: Rainbow Valley Respite - Jijeka-Te - 05-19-2012 11:20 AM

The hedgehog's appearance made Ji and Anu pretty much forget all about Chadin's follies. Their attention settled on him and his summoners pretty quickly.

(Ji) "That was... fairly impressive."

RE: Rainbow Valley Respite - Gail Strafer - 05-21-2012 03:04 PM

"Oh don't be such a big baby, Chadin! You'll be down in jus' a sec!" Gail laughed, as he continued to try to loosen the antler points. Then, without warning, Chadin popped loose, crashing down on top of the wolf. It sure did knock the wind out of him, between falling to the hard floor and then having the deer crush down on top of him. He let out a loud "oof!", before he started wheezing for air from the hard impact.

"There, you see?" he said laughing, as his eyes slowly opened again "I got..you...?" The wolf then saw that Chadin seemed to have lost his antlers. And from lying down on the floor he could see them still trapped in the ceiling. Gail's joking mood suddenly melted away into utter horror. Didn't help matters that Chadin was pissed.

Regardless, Gail immediately sprung up and also felt the stumps where the antlers used to be.

"Oh mah lance... What did I do?! What did I DO?! Man...Chadin...those...those will grow back, won't they?" Much like how he'd reacted to coming to this ninja village, Gail appeared to have regressed to a more child-like state. This time he had the air of a little boy who'd been caught breaking mom's favorite vase, as his eyes expanded open in apology.

A flash of light off to the side briefly caught his attention, but for the moment the welfare of his friend took priority.

RE: Rainbow Valley Respite - Sonic - 05-24-2012 02:10 PM

[ @_@ Gaahhh, It’s so hard to visualize surroundings.]

Sonic had been placed in a very uncomfortable position. This greeting hadn’t gone all too well the moment he walked over. His expression showed just how awkward and absolutely baffled he felt as he watched Gail apologies to Chadin; who might as well have been going through the ‘going to school in your underwear’ dream. He couldn’t even bring himself to say anything, as he felt that he would make it worse.

So instead, he only held out a friendly hand to help Chadin back onto his feet; all the while holding the most confused face.

RE: Rainbow Valley Respite - Gerald Robotnik - 05-24-2012 02:22 PM

Finally getting his socks and shoes on (while trying to avoid bumping his head), his head perked up in curiosity as he heard the commotion outside. A part of him wanted to know what was going on. But the overwhelming part didn’t want to peak out the door, in fear of unfriendly confrontation. So instead he turned his attention to the pancakes, which the girl had left on the table a little distance away from him.

Being careful, he reached over and grabbed the tray and brought it over to his lap. On it was a pile of pancakes, with syrupy already covering the brown disks. It might have been too much for his likening, he was never the one for having a sweet tooth, but he wasn’t incredible picky. Straightening his collar, he then proceeded to pick up the fork on the tray and eat

RE: Rainbow Valley Respite - Chadin - 05-24-2012 02:57 PM

Unconsciously, my right hand kept rubbing at the two little stubs on my head as I stared forlornly at my proud antlers stuck in the ceiling. I sighed in resignation and let go of the rising frustration. "It's okay, Gail. I guess it's just that time of the season already. I would have lost my antlers eventually anyway."

I sighed again, looking up at my antlers longingly. "A few months from now they'll grow back. Still doesn't make it any easier when they do come off though. A good set of antlers are a source of pride for a buck. Oh well... come on, let's go get something to eat, I'm starving." I added as I accepted Sonic's outreached hand and rose to my hooves.

After helping Gail to his own feet, I took a better look at my surroundings. Figures that I managed to make it just far enough down the hallway to an intersection that opened onto a dining area of sorts so that pretty much every ninja in the place could watch me impale myself into the ceiling. Besides all the ninja dressed in their usual garb, I did manage to recognize the one purple chameleon I saw when they brought me here. I also spotted Jii and Anu. I didn't expect to see another hedgehog here though.

Of course, his presence just added one more question to the growing list of questions I had accumulated this morning. Time to finally get some answers. "So... exactly how did we end up in a ninja village anyway?" I asked Sonic as much as I did Gail while heading over toward the chameleon's table.

RE: Rainbow Valley Respite - Espio - 05-30-2012 09:11 AM

[Forgot library time is a no go come memorial day weekend, sorry! >.<; Rose: There is a main resturant and lounge on the lower floor, and a basic inn up on the second floor. I can always provide more specific details if need be. I haven't lead that many topics yet. Tongue ]

The female traveler, as well as the band of summoners walked off for the door, the traveler letting out a light chuckle and a wave as she took leave.

"Yes, you were summoned here.", Espio piped up after clearing his throat. "I believe you know these people?", he asked as he pointed in the direction of the others finally approaching. He then addressed Anu with a light chuckle. "Our summoning magics are partly derived partly from rituals origonating from your probable place in our timeline. May not be your civilization, but there are a cluster of pyramids in the desert further away on this island", he commented. Possible credit was due from where it came from.

"Now that everyone is here...", he said as he stuck a fork into a sasauge patty. "We have much to discuss..."
