{Body Frame}

Medium x ( as in, between medium and big)

{Hair}

Short, blonde, and usually messy.

{Eye Color}

Blue

{Apparel}

Most of the time, Gerald is seen wearing a white colored shirt and brown sweater vest; with a brown pair of slakes and black shoes. He either wears a lab coat or a brown overcoat with a matching fedora hate with a black band. And of course, no one can forget the prez-nez tinted glasses that he is always seen wearing.

{Items}

He holds various different things. He has a pair of goggles (that suspiciously look close to the one’s sitting upon the doctor’s head), a pair of tinted reading glasses, and magnification bifocals. He also carries around various test tubes and tools that usually land in his pockets while working. He also happens to have a very expensive looking gold pocket watch and a gold band on his ring finger.

::Personality::

“A strange bundle of a man”, most who knew him would probable say.

He’s a gentleman in every form of the word, as well as a complete genius. He can be described as being a killjoy; that person that has to take everything you say into technicality. He also isn’t much for games and prefers to be studying long and hard of subjects that intrigue him; as well as working on projects. Which makes him a bit of a workaholic. Though he may be a little stiff, it doesn’t mean he’s a snob. In fact, you probably couldn’t find a man any nicer or kinder than Gerald. He gets incredible attached to the people who he cares about and will even give up his life in order to protect them. He’s always willing to help and willing to make things better for everyone. After all, he’s all about the progression of human life.

Anything that goes against his ideals usually gets Gerald’s scorn. He doesn’t like it when other people’s selfish actions ultimately affect the people; just as much when someone pulls him away from work. He tries to avoid becoming angered, but there will be times when something peeves him to the point where he will burst. Though even when he gets this way, he will only scorn; able to maintain his rage. And since he gets attached to people, losing them always hits him the hardest; leading him into states of depression. But he usually finds his way out of it through his work.

::Bio::

Gerald’s life has been full of up’s and downs. No one is quite sure the exact date of his birth, but he was at least a year old when he was dropped at the steps of the orphanage. For the most part, his early age life was horrible. Much like many orphans and poor children his age (when he was the right age), he worked for incredible long hours, and with hardly any pay. He’d see things that he would never un-see; which made him incredible frightened and paranoid which would create the foundation of his nightmares. Though, even from an early age, Gerald was bright. Without being taught he figured a lot of things on his own; such as how the machines at the factory worked and how to fix them. And he was also easily bullied.

Though around seven things changed. After a run in with a peculiar boy with a very strange proposal*, he was soon adopted by the very rich Ives family. His life had changed quickly, but for the best. He finally had a family (though they weren’t blood related), his best friend as a brother and an opportunity to receive the finest education. And from seven to ten, he attend an all boys private school with his brother. Though tragedy wasn’t too far around the bend, as his brother was soon fell ill and diagnosed with Tuburclousos. His brother lived for at least a year before the illness took him. This made Gerald incredibly upset, causing him to go into a state of depression for a while, before his school work would quickly take his mind off things.

Gerald soon went in an all boys private high school where he advanced with almost perfect grades. During high school he would meet his soon-to-be wife, Clarice at a school dance ( There was a girls all private school not far from them. They meet up once a year, and the students inter-mingle in the nearby town). Though the meeting was not exactly nice for Gerald (after all, ending up in a hospital is not usual nice), but it was the doorway too their future relationship.

The rest of Gerald’s life had been relatively simple. After graduating high school, Gerald married Clarice, and decided to continue his education by going to a private university. After seven years, he was still continuing his education. Gerald was still working in the university’s lab, ending up falling asleep just before the rip in the space time continuum happened. When he would awaken from his usual nightmares he would enter another. He didn’t know where or when he was, and would know things that he doesn’t remember learning. And what was worse, was that he didn’t know where Clarice was.

(* this so called ‘strange proposal being making a kart. Yes, kart racing. With engines. Once again, not exactly American history, just happens to be like that particular era.)

:: Inventions::

::Chaos Drives::

Chaos Drives are made through a special distiller machine. By placing a particular amount of water in a special container; and chaos energy being sent through, it creates a Chaos Drive. The machine itself would take a day to make, and the process to create drives is about an hour. He also needs at least five shards to make them in order to use the chaos energy for the process; and after five are made, he would have to wait for the next day to make more

Chaos Drives themselves are basically like Chaos emeralds, but with less energy and as soon as the energy is drained, they are basically useless. Though old drives can be re-powered and re-used; if they are able to be recovered.

::Heal Unit::

With the right equipment, Gerald can make a heal unit. It takes five posts to make and 3 chaos drives. Heal minor wounds, but not major. ½ of the energy is used to heal. After healing six people, the drives need to be replaced. He can possible use pure Chaos Shards to power the unit, but it is much harder to use the pure energy other than the manufactured energy. So it will heal less.

(Note: Basically, Shard’s power are harder to control and use, while drives are easy. This is because the drives where man made unlike the Shards. Machines simply have a harder time tapping into the energy- and in some cases, can get out of control)

::Artificial Chaos::

One of Gerald’s first noteworthy inventions, Artificial Chaos is basically a fake Chaos 0; but powered down. It is powered by Chaos Drives, and made up of millions of nano-bots. Much like Chaos 0, they are slow but can pierce through anything and are flexible; but lack the same defense as Chaos 0. One hit of the “brain” and it will be completely destroyed. They may not be able to jump, but can climb on all surfaces and stick. If enough can be made, they could possible fuse together to become bigger and stronger (this will only happen for special boss battles).

::Combat Style::

(NOTE: He gains his combat abilities in-game; Which is why there's nothing in the bio to explain it.)

Gerald is still not a fighter. But due to divine intervention, he can at least do something other than running away.

He now welds a magic bow, Given to him by certain circumstances. This bow, which has no string, fires arrows made of light. When you are hit by one of these light arrows, you are stunned, unable to move very fast. These arrows slow down another players action; makeing the player hit by them feel like they suddenly got heavier. Anything without a ‘soul’ though it can pierce right through it. Meaning that your armor may get destroyed, but you won’t really get hurt. (Clothes are unaffected for magical reasons of “I say so” ). The amount of arrows he can use is infinite though he can only shoot one arrow per turn. But he can charge up for the next arrow if he uses an arrow on environment objects.

He can charge the arrows, by waiting posts to give the arrows a power boosts. When it comes to stunning enemies, the longer he waits the more the stun will last. Example: One turn means stun lasts for two. Two turns the stun lasts for three and so on. If hitting objects, the range will increase. So instead of a narrow pierce it can get bigger in size, to cause more damage radius. But he can only charge for a max of three.

For Gerald there isn’t much aiming involved as the arrows, being magic, sort of aim for him. He just has to point them in the right direction, and the arrows will target themselves to who he wants to hit. This does not mean the arrows will always hit, as they can be dodged if you see them coming. Standing still though, you most likely will.

Otherwise, he hasn’t much of a way to really defend. He can’t really fight other than attempting to punch and isn’t quite attempt to fighting. Though his Bow does provide a shield, it doesn’t work for continues attacks. Example, lets say someone shoots at him. If Gerald holds it up to shield himself, the Bow will create a magic barrier and deflect the bullet. But if he was to try with continues fire, only the first bullet would deflect and the rest would hit. Works the same with everything else. Also, it only covers as far as the long bow is; and does not cover him from behind.

.:Moves:.

Devine Light:

An arrow that instead of stunning/piercing an enemy, it gives off a two yard radius of a white, blind light as soon as it hits. This, unlike attacks that are similar can ONLY be affected by Characters that are Evil and lasts for one turn. Good and natural aligned characters are not affected by this attack. Sunglasses or looking away does not help, as the move stays as a yellowish-white light dome for the whole turn.

Weakness: Does nothing besides blinding light. Robots cannot be affected as well. Gerald cannot attack for one post.

Soul Seal Arrow:

Gerald shots an arrow that instead of delaying movement, delays move sets. Characters hit by a Soul Seal arrow cannot use any moves until five posts.

Weakness: Does not work the robots. Characters hit can still attack, defend and move; they simply cannot use any ‘special moves’. Gerald won’t be able to use any of his moves for duration of five posts and only one post for regular arrows. Also is possible to dodge.

Armor Break:

This can go either two ways: the first one is literally armor breaking. What makes this different from a normal or charged arrow is that it destroys much more than they possible good. It’s sure to leave a large gapping hole in someone’s defenses. The second way is more of an affect. A person with no armor what-so-ever will be more susceptible to feeling pain and taking damage by about half of what a normal character can take; for about five posts. He can also Charge this move to make it much more powerful to break through incredibly heavy defense, but only for objects.

Weakness: It can be dodged, if it is seen coming like anything else. After using this move he has to wait five posts before using any other moves, and one post to shoot any normal arrows. If he charges the arrow, it takes an additional one post the amount he can charge for both moves and normal arrows (and he can only charge it for three). If using the first Armor Break, the arrow only breaks the armor; and will not stun the opponent.

Soul Power:

This is an arrow that Gerald shoots at an ally to give them a power boost. This also comes in several flavors. Firstly it can give an extra move to the Character to be able to do in one post. And secondly it can increase the power of one move that the player choices.

Weakness: No matter what it is, he has to wait five posts before he can do any move; and one post to shoot a normal arrow. This effect only last for one post. For the first flavor this does not allow a character to do a normal move and then a special (or allow special special). It’s only being able to do one more additional, normal, attack. For the second flavor, it only does one move and affects nothing else than the power of that move. Players will still have to deal with normal cool downs and such.

Chaos Rain

A crowd control move. By shooting one arrow in a particular area, strange little rifts will open from above and shoot down onto targets in a two-yard radius in a mini barge of twelve arrows in one post. These arrows are like his normal ones; stuns people, goes through objects and robots. And allies shall not be affected by the arrows if they are hit.

Weakness: the arrows that come from the rifts are not aimed at all, and simply hit randomly. So it’s possible that nothing gets hit in the move. So not only is it possible to dodge, but you may not even get hit. He can’t use any moves or even his own arrows until five posts.

Chaos’s Arrow:

An arrow that Gerald shoots that has an inverse affects that of Chaos Control. When this arrow hits a target, time around them will slow down, making them appear to be completely frozen for five posts (and frozen to the point where a character will not be allowed to talk).

Weakness: This move takes a lot of energy. He won’t be able to do moves for ten posts, and can’t shoot normal arrows till three. And not only that, but this move –can- be dodged.

[All moves, Except Chaos’s Arrow can be charged to increase the power. The Charge limit is still up to three posts, and 1 additional post cool down for each charge for both using Moves and Normal Arrows. If Gerald has a Chaos Shard, it brings all his attacks up by one (which means Gerald, if he charges his attacks they will be much stronger due to the boost).]

::Skills::

Science!: Gerald is knowledgeable of different kinds of sciences and technologies; and is an expert of using the Chaos Emeralds. He also knows a great deal of mechanics and computers, though it may be a little out-dated. But he’s sure to be quick to catch up when he has the time to study. And he does hold some knowledge of robotics, but it is very simple.

(Note: He will never get advanced in computers and Robotics. So don’t expect him to hack or anything; or create armies of robot’s. It’s just not his thing.)

Historian: Due to his studies of the Chaos Emeralds, he does have some knowledge of old myths and ancient history; mostly that concerned the Chaos Emeralds.

::Strengths::

{Pure Genius}

I Genius, therefore I am. Gerald’s intelligence shows no bounds as well as his ‘creativity’. There’s seemingly nothing Gerald can’t do in the fields of Science and technology.

{Quick to Learn}

Gerald is the kind of person that doesn’t really need to be schooled in order to understand something. All he needs is a little time, preferable a day depending on what he’s looking at. Though this does not include training for weapons and does not mean he will have a perfect understanding of the subject. But he will understand how a particular thing works whenever he messes around or studies the blue-prints.

{Going and going and going…}

Due to his un-willingness to sleep, Gerald has gained a lot of stamina of the years. He can stay up for days without feeling the effects of sleep; though he will usually end up crashing.

{Paladin}

His new-found abilities give him a chance to assists as well as defend himself in a very ‘palidin’ like manner.

::Weaknesses::

{Delusions}

From time to time Gerald is faced with horrific illusions. They normally do not show up when he is around people, but there are times when this does happen. If it does, it can lead to Gerald being unguarded for a few moments (Because after the initial scare, it can take him a while to get a grip back on reality).

{Vision}

Gerald as Photophobia and before you think it’s a fear of photo’s, it’s actually talking about Light sensitivity, usually with the eyes. In other words, Gerald’s eyes are very sensitive to light, so without his tinted glasses he can get headaches, become nauseous, ect, which can hinder his thinking/movement.

{Headaches*}

For reasons unknown, Gerald is known to have headaches every once in the while, some reasons are unknown as to why but it is speculated that his lack of sleep can cause the most of it. These headaches can be mild to migraines in power, and depending on how bad the pain is, there is a possibility it can hinder is thinking ability.

{Back in my day…~!}

He may know a lot of things, but he’s not quite caught up on certain currant technology; like washing machines or the internet. Knowledge of making machines and chaos-physics may have transferred over; but the information on modern day appliances, did not. He can use computer, not hack though. And he will also literate things about the fashion and music, so don’t be too surprised when he sounds like a old man.

{Funding}

Unlike Dr. Robotnik, Gerald has no access to unlimited resources. So even though his inventions are great doesn’t mean he can make them anytime he wants. Though this could change in the future.

{Glass Cannon}

In a way. He can cause a lot of damage to objects and such, but when it comes to taking hits he’s not very good with it. Not only that but he’s not good with close combat and really relies on range.

{The Beast Within}

??? (this will be introduced later in the rp. For now, it’s nothing to worry about.)

::Random Facts::

+ His main goal at first is to find his wife, (who is living with his parents) but later on he will be concerned with other things.

+His original last name was in fact Ives. When he was adopted, Ives was made to be a middle name since he had no legal middle name.

+There are many themes around Gerald, though the two most evident are Progression and Family.

+It’s assumed that Anthros were not known into society until a long while later. Gerald would be one of the first to meet them, though this was during his older age.

+ His childhood takes place in a period much like the early 1900’s in America. And his high school years are like the 1920’s/30’s. And he’s in college in the early 40’s. And he’s basically in the 21rst century. He’s had a long jump.

+ I used a lot of American time’s to create Gerald’s past; since I was learning American History at the time when coming up with the idea of role-playing Gerald. Though there are no set years, I use the aspects of the early 1900’s as a setting; though they’re obviously a little more technically advanced. After all, Gerald has to end up having an okay knowledge of computer’s somehow, and computers didn’t get quite advanced till roughly around 1990’s(As I know it).

+He has Nightmare Disorder, which is why he doesn’t like to sleep.

::NPC::

::Name::
Jeraldo

::Age: ::
Unknown

::Gender::
Male

::Species::
Unknown; Overlander(?)

::Appearance::
[Image: Jeraldo.png]

::Personality::

A mysterious and foreboding man, who only seems to appear at particular times; to either help Gerald or help his friends in some way. He appears to be very calm, collected and wise; speaking in riddles. Other than that, there doesn’t seem to be much to him.

::Relation to Character::
For now, unknown. He just appears to be some kind of sprit who has lent Gerald his powers; as he is the one who gives Gerald the bow. Not only that, but is the only really guiding the arrows.

::Skills::
He’s good with a bow, with excellent aim, and has the power to create light arrows; which he had passed onto Gerald. He also seems to appear at certain times to only one person in order to bring a little light onto a situation (note, not to be confused with him suddenly coming to tell you that someone is behind you. He does not and will not be seen by anyone very much.)

::Uses for Character::
Plot points, explanation for how Gerald really targets, and how Gerald has his powers.

::Name::
Clarice Maria Robotnik

::Age: ::
24

::Gender::
Female

::Species::
Human

::Appearance::
[Image: Clarice.png]

::Personality::

Many can be taken aback by Clarice’s personality if they met Gerald first. She can be considered he very opposite of him; charismatic, witty, and fun loving. She tends to be the dead-pan snarkier with a slightly cynical outlook. She’s not nearly as kind as Gerald, but it doesn’t mean she’s mean. She tends to pick on people constantly and sometimes will go a little too far. She’s also very assertive and it becomes obvious that Clarice is the independent one; making decisions and getting what she wants unlike her husband who’s fairly dependent.

But she does have something of a temper and tends to be very vain and a neat freak. She dislikes things to be untidy (much to Gerald’s distain as she continues to fret over how he looks). And sometimes her somewhat big ego can get her into dangerous situations; just as her protective nature can as well (Mama Bear much?).

::Relation to Character::
Wife

::Skills::
She’s fairly good with a double-barrel shot-gun, and can drive a car much better than Gerald can. But she’s still pretty defenseless despite how good of a shot she is (in which she has years of practice doing skeet shooting).

::Uses for Character::
Plot, possible combat (though not very often).
