Egg Command Tower - Dr. Robotnik - 01-26-2010 01:05 PM Soleanna...the "City of Water"...full of rich cultural history, with its many cathedrals, famous theaters, and fine cuisine...beckons you for your next vacation. Robotnik read this from a travel brochure, as he spooned another fried egg into his mouth. Cruise down our world famous labyrinthine waterways in Old Towne in a gondola. Or if you'd prefer something a little more modern, head out shopping in New City for a dazzling array of store choices. The mad doctor smirked as he swallowed the egg. Didn't travel writers have any originality these days? He honestly didn't need to read the rest to know what it would sound like. Robotnik continued consuming more eggs, swallowing at least one every minute. By now he'd already downed about twelve of them, with many more to go. And after that there would be a nice healthy portion of pancakes and bacon. The doctor took his nourishment very seriously. He ensured that he never went hungry at any time, so that he'd always have energy for his next plot. And with an extensive and quick staff of cook bots, his next meal ways always a snap of the fingers away. He would really need it for today. Robotnik wasn't reading the Soleanna travel brocure to plan a vacation of course. It's just that he'd sent his robots roving the planet ever since the dimension merge. A couple of weeks passed by since the merge, and Robotnik was starting to get impatient, but the bots finally returned with the data he needed earlier today. Apparently, Soleanna stood as the sole city left that opposed him. All of the others had either descended into chaos or been wiped off the map completely. Ditto to most of the world's militaries. Robotnik hadn't seen the hedgehog or his friends around either. Maybe this time he'd gotten lucky enough for that hedgehog to have disappeared in the dimension merge. Robotnik smirked and shook his head at that thought. He was fortunate but he doubted he was THAT fortunate. Still, Robotnik found it hard not to be optimistic about his current standing. He controlled an entire, well fortified city with factories pumping out his creations by the dozens every minute. And to completely conquer this world's new civilization, all he had to do was destroy a tourist's trap. How hard could it be to defeat a city of artists, actors, and chefs? As Robotnik ate his last egg, he smiled at the prospect of what should be a glorious victory this evening. But first...he had to deal with the little matter of the intruders running around his fine metropolis. Couldn't have any of them sneaking up here and finding out his plans, eh? With that, he gorged himself some more, and about ten minutes later he was wiping his mouth and headed for his Egg Pod. The bars along one side of the cell showed an equally dim hallway. Rusting metal covered just about every surface...except for a small hole in the corner. Alta could probably figure what that was for. For the moment, he seemed to be the only person there, because his sounds would be the only ones audible. RE: Egg Command Tower - Rose Fox - 07-19-2010 07:46 AM Too bad for him his vision had everything in a horrible blur. As he tried to move, he quickly felt a jolt of pain; and immediately clutched his arms around his chest where the SWATbot had fired point-blank. His teeth clenched, as slowly began to sit up. It felt like his entire body had been hit by a truck, and then ran over just to make sure he was dead. This was perfect though. Not only was he in pain because of adrenaline rushes and getting shot point blank; but he couldn’t see for his life. And the fact that he was in such a lifeless place didn’t help him. His heart began to go into overdrive it seemed as anxiety seemed to wash over him. “Darn it…” he began, mumbling lowly to himself, “It’s wearing off…” RE: Egg Command Tower - Dr. Robotnik - 07-19-2010 07:55 AM "Yo, buddy...." Alta would hear a low-toned male voice from the other side of one of his cell walls. "I think you need to hear what I'm about to say..." RE: Egg Command Tower - Rose Fox - 07-19-2010 08:02 AM He jumped at the sound of the voice, looking around trying to find out the direction the voice came from. His heart was still racing, and he could feel his muscles beginning to shake. He tried his best to control his breathing; as he didn’t really want to hyperventilate. This was not good. Why in the world did –he- have to have such bade nerves— “W-who’s there?” he asked in a hushed voice. Darn, he was even beginning to stutter. RE: Egg Command Tower - Dr. Robotnik - 07-19-2010 08:09 AM The voice on the other side responded as if they were prepping for a test at school. "My name is Jean-Baptiste, but you can just call me John. Anyway, neither of us has much time. Let me tell you what's about to happen. Soon, they're going to take us in for interrogation. You'll be asked a lot of questions..." Jean-Baptiste continued to speak as though he were discussion equations or something that Alta was going to be asked about tomorrow in class. RE: Egg Command Tower - Rose Fox - 07-19-2010 08:17 AM He didn’t wait for the man-John- to finish. “ Y-yes. And let me g-guess. After they’re f-finished, it’s the r-r-roboticize machine with you. Y-y-yes, I’ve heard all about it.” He paused as he tried to stand up. Actually, though he would hate to admit it, he was somewhat fascinated by the machine. After all, he could have never fathomed such a device or how one would be able to make such a thing work. But he could guess that didn’t matter to him much anymore, as he should be wondering whether or not the entire process is –painful-. Getting shot was beginning to sound like a luxury now. RE: Egg Command Tower - Dr. Robotnik - 07-19-2010 08:27 AM The cool and relaxed man on the other side of the wall suddenly shifted to being surprised. "But...how did you know about the Roboticizer? Robotnik never tells anyone what happens to the people who are brought here... I only just managed to get a glance of it being used a little while ago..." RE: Egg Command Tower - Rose Fox - 07-19-2010 08:36 AM Standing up, Alta himself dawned a shocked expression. That’s right, he’d heard of it because- “Dr. Robotnik told me about it personally.” He’d slipped. Well, it didn’t matter much anyways if he was going to be a robot in a few minutes-hours- however long they would keep him. Of course the last he’d heard of it, it was only being conceived. Strange how his mind just put two and two together. Well, there probably wasn’t much difference from the Robotnik he knew to this one- only this one wasn’t six feet under. He snickered short and low. No, he was completely incinerated with explosive ash mixed in with his own. Who knew what G.U.N. had down with those ashes. For all he knew, they just threw them out in a disrespectful manner. RE: Egg Command Tower - Dr. Robotnik - 07-19-2010 08:47 AM Alta would hear an audible intake of breath from the other side. "...then how are you still here? Robo would never let anyone know about the Roboticizer unless he was about to--" A pause. "Hang on...were you one of his lackeys? Seriously, I can't think of any other explanation." The man spoke with an accusatory tone. |
