Dr Evalaine Rosalie - Links Tyrell - 11-05-2009 10:32 AM Name: Dr Evalaine Chastity Rosalie Alias: Eevee Age: Appears 43, actual age unknown Sex: Female Species: Gazelle Alignment: Villain Faction: None Appearance: Evalaine is a normal gazelle in terms of her looks and physical appearance. She has lightly tanned brown fur which fades to a lighter shade around her muzzle and chest. The top half of her ears are black and they usually hang down on either side of her head below a pair of large ribbed black horns. Her eyes are a deep green colour with her hair being long and dark brown in colour. She also has a large black marking over both eyes that looks like a diamond. She can often be found wearing skirts of varying shades and lengths; although they are usually always at least knee length. She usually accompanies this with either a blouse or shirt and a belt. Unable to shake an old habit she also tends to wear a lab coat. Around her wrists she wears a set of large bracelets with in built computers in each. It is in these units that Alia and Jasmine reside for a majority of the time. Personality: Evalaine is a very strange individual. From the outside she appears to be nothing but a simple everyday member of society; she is anything but on the inside. She has a tendency to smile at everyone but this isn't necessarily a show of friendship. In fact it isn't really a show of anything, it is simply her unstable condition causing her to do things. Evalaine is highly strung and all that matters to her is finding a way to save her daughters. She is fixated on the idea and doesn't stop at anything to obtain things she needs. In the same light she is fiercely protective of their programming and any who even look like they might harm them feel her wrath. In this sense she is a sadistic monster. She doesn't see reason and pity and instead simply does what she must to protect her own. The drugs she takes has also created a massive neural conflict in her mind. Not only does this create multiple split personalities at a moments notice but also intense stress or pain can bring about fits, fainting, intense headaches and other such things. After recovering from one of these episodes and her neural chemistry has regained a fairly level medium she is usually a very quiet and respectful individual. Still obsessed with her work she would rarely go out of her way to hurt others. Gradually though, as the drugs in her body begin to over power her body chemistry, she becomes more and more irrational. She starts to lash out, becomes even more fixated and begins to act on impulse rather than thinking it through first. At some point the imbalance reaches such a point that her personality shifts entirely. It at these moments what she turns into the sadistic monster. Family: All deceased. Transport: None Biography: An endless spiral of insanity. The words that best sum up Evalaine's life. Her life was normal until her later years. She went to school, a bright child who excelled in science and computer programming. Later she attended university and later went on to write her own thesis. Times were good and they became even better when she met Domonic. He was kind and gentle and the pair became very good friends. So good in fact that within a few years Domonic proposed to her. Evalaine had everything. A loving husband, a high paying job at the government research department and a house that one only dreams about. Soon after all this she discovered another reason to celebrate life, she was pregnant. With the birth came another surprise, it was twins! Alia and Jasmine were pictures of beauty and Evalaine couldn't have been happier. She trimmed her hours down at her job in order to concentrate on raising her new family and began to enjoy herself. It seemed Evalaine was set for life but then fate can be a fickle thing. It was the twins sixth birthday and the family was taking a trip to a local theme park to celebrate. That would have been the case however if their car hadn't been hit by a speeding criminal escaping a crime scene. The impact sent the car veering into the opposite lane where it was hit head on by a 20 ton wagon. The impact tore the car to pieces. Domonic was killed in the impact, the twins dying a few days later in hospital. Only Evalaine survived but she herself spent the next six months in a coma. When she came too her life was in tatters. For months she just sat in her empty house and stared at the walls. Many thought that death would have been merciful for her. While her mind grieved though it was also working as only a scientific mind could. A little over a year after the incident she requested to come back to work. Whilst still conscious of her mental state her superiors allowed it but still kept a close watch on her condition. They needn't have worried for Evalaine seemed to be completely fine. Some even went as far to say that her work was even better than before. She worked long hours, never let a deadline slip and solved problems that others had been puzzling over for months. All in all it seemed the old Evalaine was back. Still her superiors were concerned she was working herself too hard. This was found to be a reasonable concern when after about a year and a half she suddenly collapsed for no reason. She was quickly rushed to hospital and upon examination doctors found a very high level of the drug Citadin in her blood. Citadin was an experimental drug that was currently in development by the government section she worked for. It was designed to act as a stimulant but also helped the body to refresh itself. In essence it was a drug that could prolong ones life almost indefinitely whilst one took it and allowed a person to work faster and stronger than they normally could. However there was a side effect. The process of constantly refreshing the bodies cells played havoc with the subjects neural chemistry. In tests four out of five subjects suffered crippling nerve pain or some form of neurological disorder. For the levels of the drug to exist in Evalaine blood it was reasoned she must have been taking it since just after she rejoined the company. How she had been taking it for this long without any form of side effect wasn't known but it was enough to make her supervisors rethink their agreement to let her come back to work. They ordered a full search of her personal files on the companies computer system. Following several days of intense code breaking access was finally gained to her files and what they contained shocked everyone. Whilst she had been working on her assigned projects she had also been collecting data on other projects and merging the data. Information on bio neural computer, holographic technology, artificial intelligence and even a secret black op project on cyborg research was present in her data files. Not only this but it also contained data on her daughters, their brain wave patterns and neural chemistry. The government directors decided to sack Evalaine with immediate effect. Her company possessions were seized and her security clearance was deleted. When Evalaine woke she flew into a fit of rage at what had been happening while she was unconscious. She was so unstable that doctors had to sedate her to calm her down. It didn't seem to work though and in the morning doctors found her bed empty. The next evening the lab she worked at suffered a massive security breach. Computer files, prototype artificial intelligence units, a large supply of Citadin and many other items were stolen without even a clue as to who had done it. There were theories though and Evalaine's house soon had a visit from a number of police cars. They found the house in a total mess. Furniture was all over, safes hung open and no trace of Evalaine could be found. No clues were ever found either as a few minutes after the authorities had entered the house the entire thing erupted in a massive fireball. For years afterward the mystery of what had happened plagued the unsolved crimes files. That was until one fateful day. Without warning the government research computer system suddenly rebooted. Nobody knew what had happened but as they came back online something wasn't right. Nothing responded to commands and whatever they did they couldn't shut it down. Then the download started; every last byte of information was being forcefully extracted from their system. Every project, every piece of R&D technology, personnel files, even the meeting room schedule diary. Whatever they did they couldn't stop it and within a few minutes the entire database was empty. It was then that a familiar face appeared on every screen in the room, Evalaine. Gloating in a unusual tone she proclaimed that she had left them as they had left her, with nothing, and that they would now taste how lonely and alone she had been. As her image disappeared a new image appeared, the login for the government military project research program. Login was confirmed and numerous windows flicked up and down as data was transmitted. Finally the word 'Godsend Platform Activated' flashed across the screen. Everyone's faces fell. Godsend was a new military project focusing on orbital defense lasers technology. All they could do was watch as targeting co-ordinates flashed across the screen and the platform readied itself to fire. With a shattering show of force the platform fired. The personnel records had not been useless data to Evalaine. She had used it to plot targeting coordinates for each and every family member of the people who worked at the government facility. Children, husbands, wives, aunts, uncles, even pet dogs at boarding kennels were targeted and in the blink of an eye wiped out. A search for Evalaine was commenced but she was never found. Years passed by and soon turned into decades. Decades rolled on and still no trace was ever found. She had vanished. Every unexplained computer hacking or technology theft was followed up and traced but still nothing was found. Where she had gone and what she was doing are questions that still haunted the authorities. Weapons: Twin Hand Scythe – Hellion This weapon consists of two large scythe blades wielded like one would use a set of tonfa or nightsticks. Each blade is a meter long, and highly serrated, with a handle extending at 90 degrees to the blade itself. The weapon is steadied by a set of hand grips and a leather strap at the top end to secure it to the arm. Hellion also has an artificial intelligence unit implanted into it. This program responds to Evalaine's commands, warns her of danger and can even automatically engage various abilities on its own. It refers to Evalain as 'Ma'am'. It was developed by Evalaine during the many years she has been alive to serve as protection...and when she get crazed to serve as a form of attack. Combat Style: Although not formally trained in combat of any kind Evalaine has spent many years exploring her own talents. Although the use of the drug Citadin has created a number of neurological problems for her it has caused one useful side effect; telekinetic powers. She fights from a range using her neural energy to cause damage. If an opponent gets close she shifts to her weapon Hellion in addition. Moves: 1) Neural Implosion – Whilst taking a short while to charge (1 post) this move allows Evalaine to unleash a violent blast of neural energy. When ready she need only make direct eye contact with her intended target in order to release the charge. The resulting blast is enough to crack concrete and anyone caught in it suffers an extremely painful headache for a moment (1 post). The blast itself is about 2m wide. 2) Neural Deflection – By turning her attention towards an oncoming projectile Evalaine can deflect it and send it spiraling off in a random direction. This works well against single targets but cannot stop multiple ones at a time. The mental impact of a deflection however causes an amount of mental recoil. For this reason the move can only be used every other turn. 3) Neural Pulse – A move centered around Evalaine that creates a fast moving wave of mental energy that expands for about 5m in all directions. Whilst the wave itself is harmless the after effects are not and anyone caught within the wave suddenly looses control of their motor neurons. In other words they loose grip of weapons or anything they are carrying and would likely collapse. This effect lasts only 1 post and following that they are free to move as normal again. The move takes 1 post to charge; in addition this move can only be used twice per battle. CS Move – Neural Torrent – By releasing a full blast of neural energy Evalaine can hurl a large number of psychic explosions into the air. These detonate at random places and time creating a large hazard zone around her like an active minefield. The stress of this move is great and Evalaine can't do anything else in the turn she uses it but the move makes getting near her almost impossible. The move itself last 1 turn. Skills: Scientist (Advanced) Evalaine is as highly qualified as you are likely to find. She is an expert in her field including bio engineering, artificial intelligence and related computer systems. She hasn't come across many problems she can't solve with a little work and constantly pushes the boundaries. Telekinesis (Advanced) Evalaine can move things with her mind, commanding solid objects to do as she wants. She can only move one object at a time and that object can only perform a single action at a time. Strengths + She has a very intelligent and reasoning mind. + Due to the Citadin she takes she can push herself harder and further than others. Weaknesses: - She is prone to fits, fainting, severe headaches and other such things due to the side effects of the Citadin. - Even though they are only holograms she is fiercely protective of Alia and Jasmine, often to the point of putting her life before their programming. - Even though she can push herself harder and further than most her body is still the same as everyone else and she doesn't have any special protection. NPCs: Name: Alia Age: 6 Gender: Female Species: Gazelle Appearance: Alia usually resides within a large bracelet on Evalaine's left wrist. The bracelet is a self sustaining computer system that uses a mix of solar energy, body heat and static charge in the atmosphere in order to keep its batteries charged. The computer has the ability to talk freely and can interface with other computer systems. When the holographic systems are activated the computer can generate a perfect image of Evalaine's daughter Alia. Personality: Alia is a bundle of laughs and usually finds entertainment in everything. She loves her mother dearly and follows any orders she gives her. This is part due to the artificial intelligence matrix that her consciousness was merged with. In a way it is Alia and in another it isn't. Alia rarely sees danger, a naïve little child who doesn't yet understand the world around her. Relation to Character: Holographic version of Evalaine's daughter. Skills: Computers – Alia's AI is an expert interface model. It can readily link with other computers of all types, download information and bypass security blocks. Uses for Character: Computer hacker. Name: Jasmine Age: 6 Gender: Female Species: Gazelle Appearance: Jasmine usually resides within a large bracelet on Evalaine's right wrist. The bracelet is a self sustaining computer system that uses a mix of solar energy, body heat and static charge in the atmosphere in order to keep its batteries charged. The computer has the ability to talk freely and can interface with other computer systems. When the holographic systems are activated the computer can generate a perfect image of Evalaine's daughter Jasmine. Personality: Jasmine is quieter than Alia and prefer to view the world from the back seat. She tends to get very nervous and scared in new situations and takes to hiding behind Evalaine while her sister wanders ahead. Like her sister she follows any orders given to her thanks to the AI unit her personality was merged with. Relation to Character: Holographic version of Evalaine's daughter.
