Joining Procedure
01 – The Rules
The first step to joining up is to read the rules. Every board is different and Aftermath is no exception. Read over the Rules, Character Creation Rules and the Current Storyline so you know what’s happening.
02 – Signing Up
So you’ve decided to sign up eh? First you need to register an account. Fill in the fields and submit it! All we ask is that, in order to keep things easy, that you use your characters name as the name on your account.
03 – Character Profiles
After you’ve registered your account it will be added to a group named’ Awaiting Activation’. You will then need to confirm your email address by clicking the link supplied in an email that will be sent to your given account.
Once this is done your account will be moved to another group, 'Awaiting Authorisation'. In order for your account to be fully activated you need to create a profile for your character and post it on the board. You’ll find a template HERE and the forum you need to post it in HERE. Once this is done the staff will read it over and check it for errors. To keep the procedure as stress free as possible, the moderation of profiles will be done by two staff members only. Once both the staff members are satisfied then the profile will be approved and your account activated.
04 – Have Fun!
And that’s al there is to it! Check over the topics, find somewhere to dive in and join the fun. If you have trouble getting started you can check out the Storyline Assistance forum for help or simply contact one of the staff.
Note on Original Characters
If you want to play an original character ask in this topic to see if the character you wish to play as is available: Question Forum. Alternatively you can check this topic to see all the characters that are currently taken: Welcome to the RPG!
Once you have found an available character to play as, register a new account using that characters name. If the character has been played in the past an account may already exist. In which case a staff member will give you the log in details for it.
Once this is done you'll need to submit a profile for them. The reason we do this is, even though original character have known limits, some of these limits are above what we allow for fan characters. To make it fair original characters must create a profile too.
