Aquatic Base - Western Isle

Dak had left the bridge an hour before, and now stood at a large window at the head of the manta, taking in the scenery through his own eyes and not some LCD monitor.

The dolphins were back.

"Approaching Destination," The computer announced. "ETA is Five Minutes."

He sighed and stretched as the Manta skimmed over the sea floor. It had been a rather uneventful trip, but he'd rather it that way, considering Asher was on board.
Speaking of which, he didn't know where the girl had run off to now; she always found some way and reason to disappear...

He sighed again and headed for the bridge, rubbing his eyes in the process; he probably should have napped on the way there: it would be a long few days overseeing the construction.
---

A few miles off the coast of Western Isle, an underwater mountain range rose from the otherwise smooth sea floor. It was here, in a large valley between two merging chains, that the manta class settled. It's jets worked in perfect synchrony, positioning the huge craft in the tight space under a large mountain overhang, and gigantic clouds of sand billowed from under the metal titan. The twelve other ships circled the commotion like sharks, surveying the seascape for any other signs of intelligent life.

---

The wolves sipped from cans of Chaos Cola as the Manta Class settled into it's final resting place: the craft was actually the main body of the base to be, and though it would undergo some underwater modifications, it would remain generally as is. Ten anchors locked the metallic giant in place under the overhang, and then the sturgeons swooped down, along with the minnow's.

The second largest ships would also become part of the landscape, attached to the Manta by extra parts carried with the minnows... soon. For now, worker-bots, modified for the surroundings, poured out of the minnows, become schools, themselves. Pieces of the base were toed out into the depths as well, an the true construction began.

[IT'S JUST LIKE SILENT SCOPE! <3 D= Buckle down, kiddies]

The first day had worn on painfully slow, though enough progress had been made to ensure a reprimand-free progress report. One of the sturgeon-class subs and plenty of other areas had already been attached and built onto the base-to-be, and the site was actually starting to look like a center-of-operations. Minnow ships darted into and out of the overhang, making room for each other in tight space, dropping materials to the workers, or lugging scrap out to a quickly building mountain of trash. Everything was going smoothly.

That didn't ease the annoyance of lupine enemy number one: boredom.

In fact, at least half of the sentient population on board the manta was succumbing to the lack of stimuli. Dak sat in his seat at the bridge, head resting on the keys in front of him; he might as well have been dead. The young Furre had stopped monitoring the base's progress sometime ago; there was little chance of there being a problem, anyway.

He could always commandeer a laser gun and... Nah; Asher didn't like that game. He sighed, half wishing something interesting would happen.

::

A long ways away from the bridge, Asher watched as the workers threaded a new cable system through the quickly forming base to the Mantas two main engines. Three robots had already approached the girl, advising her to leave the area, but she persisted; the Doctor had really made those things way too paranoid.

The drones worked around the twin engines, dismembering, rebuilding, hacking apart and rewiring the two pieces of machinery as cables of all sizes were connected and grouped together, and plugged into outlets all around the chamber. It was messy business, and the flashes and sparks put the largest fireworks displays to shame. This was the sole spectators main reason for being there: it was all just one big pyrotechnics display.

Pup, just where are you? A familiar voice asked over her COM. Link. She flicked her ears and replied.

Engine room. You should come down and see it! There was a moment of silence, before her brother piped up, again.

Thats the last place you need to be at; come back to the bridge.

You sound just like those robots! Im not even in the way!

You dont have to be in the way for an accident to happen- get out of the engine room!

Im Just Watching!! the girl snarled through the microphone. Soon enough, shed turn off the communicator altogether and turn back to the construction. Really, who was Dak to tell anyone about care and caution? He had one of the most reckless jobs there was! She huffed, crossing her arms and trudging down the platform she had picked to sightsee from; old people were so hypocritical. This stunk.

Her nose twitched; it really was starting to smell bad. The stench was familiar, however; it was just like when they were refueling the airships in the hangars.

" Oh" fuel. It was giving her a headache, and so the pup figured it was time to go- of her own accord, of course: not because anyone told her to.

::

Sparks flew from an engine section as a drone welded on a new extension. Such was the scene in many areas, as diligent robots completed their tasks. So programmed to be absorbed in their task, none of the workers noticed the fuel leaking from one of the motors. It was more than a trickle, less than a spout, and enough to pool on the floor around the machine. Asher trotted right past the puddle, coughing and covering her nose as the odor was strongest, and headed for the doorway out of the offensive area. Just before the door, she turned to look back into the large space, and cocked her head as a robot started up a new, brilliant shower of sparks cascading onto the ground. The resulting flare and explosion was ten times more awe-inspiring.

The large engine went off, blowing out the room and rocking the whole of the submarine. The craft was wrenched from its anchors; its rear shot upwards from the force of two blasts, for the second engine had combusted due to its partner's malfunction. The rising stern caught a Minnow and crushed it against the ceiling of the overhang, another explosion throwing the Manta back down to the sea floor. Fragments of rock fell from the shattered roof, catching two more Minnows and slamming one onto the manta and another onto the rock bed. More boulders crashed onto the largest ship, which was now leaning to one side. A couple of jets were spurting as the ship tried to reposition itself, much like a dying animal trying to get back on its feet. An S.O.S. signal from the bridge called to the remaining ships and distant Robotnik Island before it, too, died out. The bridge itself had caved and flooded under one of the bludgeoned Minnows.

::

13. The fleet of 13 was reduced to eight: an aimless school of eight without any lead or inclination. The seven Minnows and one Sturgeon hovered around the tragedy as oil and fuel leaked to the surface in thick, black stacks. Soon, the overhang collapsed onto the remains of the Manta, burying the craft where it lay. They just seemed to watch the scene in silent shock, waiting for another order from the bridge. They'd wait until Robotnik called them back to the Island. April Fools <3.

The Great Robotnik:

Dak would receive a message soon after Asher had turned off the comms unit, flashing up on whatever device he had to hand that could receive email.

"Rose has summoned everyone to the War Room in an hour's time. I am personally requesting your presence as I will be using the time to brief everyone for the final time as to the plan. I realise that you won't be able to get here in an hour's time, so I suggest you take the chance to test out the video calling kit inside the holo-chamber, using the attached driver. It should project a three-dimensional holographic image of the room and individuals within around you, and back here we will see a similar image of you as you fit into our surrounds."

Dakoter A.:

Dak read and reread the message, then promptly exclaimed: "Alright! VR station!"

...

He soon collected himself and made a mental note to erase the systems video and audio logs. he got to his feet and headed for the engine room to collect his sister, and possibly pick up a laser gun along the way.

A notification of a message would appear on whatever device Dakoter was currently using for holo-messaging.
Once Dakoter opened it, a holographic image of the young Robotnik would flash up, sitting at the great monitor of the Mainframe.

"General Artemis," it began "myself and Security Chief Rose Fox are on our way over to personally oversee the final stages of constuction, and run the last of the security checks. I also intend to collect the girl, seeing as how you have failed miserably to return her to the main island," the hologram said with a sly grin on his face. "Prepare for our arrival, within the hour. Out."

The image would conclude with Robotnik's hand reaching forward to the console in front and pressing a button, the hologram blinking before zipping away.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jun. 29 2007,19:36
Dak and Asher returned to the bridge, only to find the message waiting as a little blinking button at the terminal. The older lupine walked over none-too-quickly and hit said blinker.

The message literally popped up in front of them, Robotnik's smiling features beaming at them.

"...myself and Security Chief Rose Fox are on our way over..." Okay, that wasn't not so bad. He half expected something like it-

"...intend to collect the girl, seeing as how you have failed miserably to return her..." The message clicked off, leaving the siblings in silence.

Failed to return her?? He said she could stay aboard! Dak mused and growled. Asher vocalized his thoughts.

"Um~ he's joking, right? Didn't he say..."

[from Cross Country]

The second manta powered into view of the underwater base. Its location a few miles from the coast was a good choice by Dakoter.

Coming into radio range, Robotnik transmitted the clearance codes, and awaited confirmation of their receipt.

[From Cross Country]

By then Rose had opened her eyes, feeling a bit better than before. She covered her mouth as she yawned, and then folded her arms as she tried to keep her eyes from shutting again.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jun. 29 2007,20:39
Dak sat at the desk, tapping away at random keys. He was pretty much fuming over the Doctor's sudden decision to take Asher away.

Again. It were times like these that made him want to desert.

A request for clearance showed up on the screen. The system verified the codes; it was him and Rose. All that was need was his final permission. He would have liked to deny it, but figured the two computer-brains would easily find a way to override it, and he with a click, sent the message back to the new Manta.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jun. 29 2007,21:15
Powering into the docking bay, the ship powered down and locked into position. The air lock blasted the water out, and soon the green light came on, showing they could enter.

Leaving Rose where she was, Robotnik clicked his fingers. The droids all marched out in unison towards the largest chamber in the complex.
Posted by Rose Fox on Jun. 29 2007,21:18
As Rose saw Robotnik leave, she got up and followed.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jun. 29 2007,21:33
It was into this large area that Dak came down from the bridge. He didn't care that Asher was taking her time in following suit.

He watched as Robotnik, Rose, and their needless robot escorts arrived. He simply nodded, not bothering to hide and aggravation in his voice.

"Doctor... Rose."
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jun. 29 2007,21:43
"Hello boys and girls!" Robotnik grinned, as always lately. "I come bringing gifts - new uniforms! You'll both be required to wear them when we make our broadcast in the next few hours. There's one for Rose too."

As he walked past Dakoter, he paused. "Oh, April Fools, my dear boy. April fools."

And with that, he strolled off to his newest control room with a skip in his step, happy that he had kept his staff on their toes.
Posted by Rose Fox on Jun. 29 2007,21:46
Rose looked in confusion with his sudden mood change, and also at what he said.

Uniforms?

She wasn’t exactly liking the sound of it.

She began following soon afterwards, not paying much mind to the two wolvies.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 17 2007,20:59
Never before had his urge to kill rose to such extreme levels.

"IT'S NOT THE FIRST!.... IT'S NOT EVEN APRIL!" He yelled at the doctor as he headed for the bridge. His voice echoed around the chamber and down the walkway.

".. I hate my life..."
---

Asher, on the other hand, was perfectly oblivious to the horrible mind games going on deeper within the ship. She chose to blatantly ignore the newcomers until they stormed in on the bridge, Dak's shout following behind them.

"Hey, Eggman."

[sorry I need some comic relief. stop messing with your subordinates' minds, you xD]
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 17 2007,21:44
Strolling onto the bridge, Robotnik ignored Asher completely, blanking the little whipper-snapper and choosing to look straight ahead out into the depths of the ocean.

"Hmm..." he pondered out loud, "I wonder how much air a four foot tall anthro-wolf would need... I indeed wonder if we have the required wetsuits..."
He then - accidentally, of course - spun round and nearly knocked into the younger Artemis.
"Why young Asher!" he exclaimed, mocking surprise. "How long have you been here for?"
Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 17 2007,21:49
Rose stopped as soon he spun around, almost hitting the little wolf. The look on her face was that of curiosity as she wondered how out of hand he was going to go. But, at the same time, the young wolf deserved getting kicked for calling him by that stupid nickname. But for now, she stayed silent until need and when ever Robotnik would tell her to start doing all the security checks.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 17 2007,22:01
The wolf pup stumbled back a foot or so, not exactly expecting the human to turn as he did. As soon as she got her balance, she snapped right back at him.

"Gee; that's the best you could think of? No wonder the world still isn't wire and steel."
---

Dak returned just in time to hear the commotion, and bit his lip to keep himself quiet.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 17 2007,22:13
"Are you sure you two are related?" Robotnik asked Dakoter as he turned up. "Asher is unnecessarily rude."

Facing Rose, he nodded at her. It was the sort of nod that said "get on with it".
Returning his attention to Dakoter, the young Ivo rocked on his feet.
"There's been a slight change to the plans."
Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 18 2007,12:22
Well, there was the order.

Rose turned back towards the where the ship laid docked and went into the largest chamber of the complex where the droids had marched too. Rose’s foots steps echoed through the hallway as she entered the large room, where twenty droids stood in rows of two. Rose stopped as she got close to them and sighed.

“ Okay....The droids in the right row. I need you guys to go and get all the security systems online. Droids in the left row. I need you guys to complete all the security checks on all the electric appliances. I want the right row of droids to go right and the left row of droids to go left and do what you need to do one by one so you don’t skip anything, got it?”
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 19 2007,13:22
The older wolf only shook his head and shrugged in response to Robotnik's question. As Rose headed out after the Doctor's silent order, Dak cocked his headed to Robotnik's latest statement.

"Annnnnd... those changes, are?"
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 19 2007,14:08
]#Yes Master Fox - Orders Received And Understood#[ the robots all chimed in unison. Rose had given her orders to them perfectly, however she hadn't told them to go. They remained in front of Rose, awaiting the order to go.

Meanwhile Robotnik had guaged Dakoter's interest.
"Yes, Commander General Artemis," he smiled. "A minor change in plans. The plan being a lure... bait. Supposing we let slip the location of this place, and attracted someone's attention? Sure, the hedgehog would stay away. But what about my recently deserting rat of a second in command?"
Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 19 2007,15:37
“ Good. Now get to work. And make sure -nothing- goes wrong.” Once she made things clear, she turned around and began to walk back. Hopefully, nothing would mess up on her.

Hopefully.

As she walked, she fount a bit of agitation that came from the back of her head. Using her right hand, she began to mess with her hair, which was in a tight bun, and took a pen out. To her unsatisfaction, though, there was still an annoyance. So, she took some more hair pins out. And, that would continue on until every signal pin was out and all that was left, was a pony tail. By the time she would arrive, they would notice this, and that the pony tail that was once in the middle of her head was now near her neck and her hair going down to the end of her back. Also, there would be a annoyed face too.

[ Sorry to post all that useless crap, but I had to do it soon. XD]
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 19 2007,16:03
"Hmm?"

He really wanted to use the base as one big rat trap? What a waste. He'd rather have forgotten about "Alarielle" altogether; he was never supposed to be part of the Empire in the first place...

"How do you know he'd take the bait?... Knowledge of this base could attract anyone but said rat."
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 19 2007,16:39
"Because he will come looking for answers to his past," Robotnik smiled, leading up to pull his own line in.
"Remember I told you about having watched the security files, Dakoter?"

He placed a little bit of emphasis on the name as he rocked on his feet, knowing that Rose had emerged into the room - he assumed that the job was done. The change in hair had been noted, but his attention was firmly on the wolf whom he hoped was about to feel as small as a gnat underneath a giant's newly-booted size 27 foot.
Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 19 2007,16:44
Rose stood in silence, as she had nothing else to do.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 19 2007,16:52
[ABORT MISSION!]

Something about his tone made the wolf seem like a gnat underneath a giant's newly-booted size 27 foot, and he flattened his ears accordingly. glanced between her brother and Robotnik, ears down as well.

Something told them it wasn't a continuation of his anachronism of an April Fool's joke.

"Oh?..."
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 19 2007,17:39
"Yes," he said, stroking his chin as he began a gentle stroll around the control room - making sure to steer well clear of anyone's grabbing range, "I was wondering how Alarielle came into our employ and so I check the security feeds at the same time as many other things I was curious about."

He had his back to Dakoter at this point, and turned his head so the profile view was visible. His eyes were looking down and towards the wolf.
"Did you know that his name wasn't Alarielle Rose?" Robotnik asked. "It turns out our human friend was suffering from amnesia. And the equipment to repair such ailments could well be stored... here?"

Robotnik turned full body to face Dakoter.
"You gave him access to the security files. Heck, he's been reading through everything that he's had access to - his mental capacity for learning is immense. He knows everything about our operations. This is why the plan has changed, because of your incompetence. Now the plan is to recapture him at all costs, before he can pass on his information to someone who can make use of it. If F4 or GUN gain it we are out on a limb, and will have to start from scratch. And it is all because of you, Commander General Dakoter Artemis, that Alarielle had access to this information in the first place."

He looked at Rose briefly. "Do you know anything of this? I imagine not." He studied her for a reaction, before returning his now angry eyes back in the direction of the wolf.
Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 19 2007,17:45
" I'm afraid not." Rose answered him, " That was the second day that I've been in the empire."
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 19 2007,18:08
Dak tried to keep a striaght face as he watched and listened to Robotnik; his little mind game had boiled down much too soon for his own comfort... It was mostly the Doctor's glare that disturbed him, to the point that he lowered his head in submission.

Not that he wasn't going to give the game one final round..

"Not that the current problem was my intent... Prior to the Never Lake incident, we- you and I- had already decided to.. 'draft' him into the Empire..." he paused to think over his story. It actually wasn't to much of a stretch; he really wasn't lying...

"Between all the meetings and assignments after we returned from Never Lake, I didn't have time or chance to reveal the true situation, having had to keep up the ruse in front of him in meetings, or being off on your direction. Nor did I expect it to snowball as it has.

"In truth, it wouldn't have had he not been able to leave the island in the first place."
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 19 2007,18:23
Robotnik liked his style - moving the blame onto someone else and trying to make his own situation look rosey?

"Sorry, but I recall seeing you bringing him onto the island and educating him. I don't recall a conversation about enrolling him - you did however tell me he was my advisor and second in command... As penalty, your sister shall be removed forthwith and detained back at the island, under guard for twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. She will be well looked after, and I thought I could trust you - but you have shown yourself to be utterly unreliable."
At a click of the fingers, two SWATbots showed up at the doorway.
"Take this one back to my craft," he said, indicating Asher, "and watch her until I return." He then returned his attention to Dakoter. "Taking your sister is punishment enough, I have no need to strip you of rank. Do this again and I shall remove my offer of aiding you and Asher."

Robotnik was now fully up to speed on events in the Empire, and had made his displeasure known. The robots marched into the room and stood behind Dakoter, waiting for him to move.

Robotnik turned his face into an evil grin.
Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 19 2007,18:30
Rose merely blinked in response to the current situation, and stood aside, since she was directly behind the wolf.

The evil grin that Robotnik was showing made her do a grin just as evil, though, she bit the inside of her lip instead of doing so. As far she could tell, it wasn’t a good idea with the wolf being in the same room. She was trying -not- to make enemies in the empire, unless she saw fit.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 19 2007,20:04
Robotnik's smile was not returned, in fact, Dak was on the verge of snapping altogether.

He could always destroy the robots.. and Robotnik would just call in more. He could always destroy Robotnik but Fox would call in more.... he really didn't want to deal with Rose...

Rose moved from behind him, and he turned his glare from Robotnik and gazed apologetically to Asher; he had messed up, again, and now his sister was going to be stuck on the island, again. Unwillingly he stepped aside.

Of course, Asher had no intent of going with her two metallic escorts.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 20 2007,07:49
"Do not even think of losing your temper, Dakoter," the doctor said as he moved to allow the robots to perform their task. "I'm sure you would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things to me right now, but look at it this way; your sister is much safer on the island."

He stooped down to her leve. "Especially if she cooperates."

The droids stood by her side.
"Either go willingly, or be dragged. It's your choice," he said, then looked at Rose. "Of Dakoter is right about another thing... how did he leave the island without security knowing about this?" he asked, now building up to make Rose feel incredibly small.

Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 20 2007,17:04
Oh. Crap.

Those two worlds match perfectly with the expression on her face. After a few seconds though, it went to a dull-ish angry. Her day just got worse.

“ Bbbeeecccaaauusseee I always- mess up on something......” Rose replied placing her hands in the pockets of her overcoat. She wished she would have said “ Who the hell gave me this job any how! They certainly didn’t ask -me- if I cared. ” But it was useless to whine.

Anyways, it didn’t matter much to her. She would take what would come to her -even IF- she didn’t -like it-. She was here -for- the empire and nothing else, unlike most she’s seen around the place.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 21 2007,21:46
Asher only replied with a lofty 'hmph," passing the older occupants of the bridge and not stopping for the robots.

"I don't need an escort," she stated, not caring if the Doctor heard or not. That Rose girl was talking, anyway.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 22 2007,09:35
The robots marched after Asher, guns set to stun in case she tried anything like running. They would escort her to Robotnik's vessel and await their master's return - if Asher ran, they would open fire - and their guns were trained on her every step of the way.

Robotnik's attention was on Rose now, however.
"I admire that you have taken responsibility for your actions," Ivo started, "but it still doesn't change the fact that we have a major security breach on our hands, one which would be placed at your feet. Dakoter's error was one thing, but if he had remained on the island - as instructed - then you wouldn't be about to receive your own reprimand."

He strolled around a little, thinking as he walked. "Well Rose, I know how to entertain myself at your expense. General Artemis can stay and watch too, now I've said all that needs to be said to him on his own failings."

He strolled around again. "You are going to be the bait to lure Alarielle here to this very base. Or should I say, Eric Law?" he grinned, finally stopping his grand stroll to end all strolls.
Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 22 2007,10:42
A plain and dull look appeared on her face.

“ So I thought he was dead.” Rose said quietly. “ Around 500 pounds landed on his head, how would I know he would of lived...”

Rose folded her arms as she looked down. Since he knew who he was, Rose didn’t care if she spilled. After all, why wouldn’t she use his amnesia against him in order to help the empire? She didn’t know she was going to bail like he did. That was the only thing she was mistaken of.

Now, she was beginning to not like the wolf very much. Because she was going to turn into a damsel in distress.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 26 2007,11:48
Dak flicked his ears upon hearing the current conversation. He still didn't get how any of it would work... or at least how they'd manage to alert him without getting G.U.N. or anyone else to hop on the bandwagon.

.. Now that he thought about it, the Doc probably didn't care about "collateral knowledge."
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 26 2007,15:22
"Oh, you'll see miss Fox," the young doctor sneered. "I am now returning to the island with Asher. You two can remain here until you are called for."

As he paced towards the docking bays, he paused in the doorway.
"I will be summoning you both, I am not so inconsiderate so as to leave you both here whilst the self-destruct sequence kicks in... When Byrain and Trigger get here with the target, you will contact me immediately. I will then engage in video conference with you all once again, to discuss the next stage of the plan."

With a twinkle in his eye, Robotnik looked at Rose. "If I were you, I would watch the news in a few hours' time," Ivo said with a sly grin.
And with that, he was gone - choosing to ignore anyone should they be calling after him.

[back to Robotnik Island]

As he left, Rose stood in silence, watching him go back to the base. As soon as he was completely out of sight ( and out of hearing range) Rose spoke, mostly to herself.

“ The more that I’m here, the more I seem to regret.”

She looked over to the wolf, saying what she said in a very disappointed tone.

“ How ‘bout you?”
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 26 2007,16:04
With a sigh, he shook his head, smirking afterwards.

"I think I've reached the limit in regrets..." he looked up in thought. "Can't say this place doesn't have it's good times, though."

He paused and turned to the human.

"Wait... I thought you were the eager young assistant.."
Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 26 2007,16:18
“ I am. Was. But to me, things have been going downhill for me rapidly than usual. First, security, and now I’m bait which goes right into damsel in distress.” she asnwered in a dull manner, putting her hands into her pockets and put a face on to go with her tone.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 26 2007,16:49
His smirked returned as Rose spoke and pouted. It wasn't out of malice; her words were just humorous.

"He's just mad," came his reply. "You can't expect to get away with every err. This 'bait' thing will be over and done with in no time and you won't have to be a 'damsel in distress' anymore after that."

He thought for a moment, soon taking a seat at the controls and opening KBS' news channel. There were no interesting casts at the moment, so he put it on mute, continuing to speak off-handedly.

"I wouldn't grumble about the security post either; he does need someone to keep up security on the "empire," and you're the only one around here qualified, besides the Doc. He obviously sees some potential in you. Just give it some time. You've been around for, what? A week?"

Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 26 2007,17:10
" Four days at least." Rose replied turing towards him, along with folding her arms.

"Not long enough," he responded simply as he opened up more news channels, pushing them off to the side and behind the KBS broadcast. He wondered how long it would really take.
Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 26 2007,19:23
Rose sighed, still standing and stareing at the screen.

" Not the point." She said, in a matter-of-fact tone. " I'm surprised he doomed us all by putting me as the cheif of security..."

And as a bit of thought trailed from one of the last thing she saide, she went on.

" And the doctor doesn't really need anyone. He's done more than enough by himself."

Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 27 2007,22:36
He shook his head at Rose's comment.

"He hasn't taken over by himself, and that's really all that matters. He's gotten close, I suppose, but I don't think it's a one-man, million-robot job- which is how it's been, bar my less-than-useful help up until a while ago."

[hitting the hay for now. ^^ Night!]

Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 28 2007,16:59
" May be so...but how would a couple of bar-none mercenaries be able to be of better help? No offense. As I see it, we could all be replaced by a robot.” Rose was now leaning against the wall, her arms folded ( as usual) as she ‘debated’ with the wolf.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Jul. 28 2007,22:33
Sighing, he spun the chair around to face the girl, leaving the screen to its own devices.

"Like I said, his relying on his robots alone hasn't gotten the job done yet."
Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 29 2007,19:51
" 'Yet' is the thing." Rose replied in a kind of snarl. "It's that stupid hedgehog's fault after all. If it wasn't for him, there wouldn't be any major problems."

She looked to the side, obviously, she did not like the subject much.

A voice message would flash up on the main screen, awaiting opening. When someone eventually does, Robotnik's voice rings out clear and true.

Dakoter and Rose, this is Doctor Robotnik, the world's greatest scientific genius and your master. We have an emergency situation at the island base. You are now both required to personally aid the worker droids with their security measures. If anybody other than Byrain and Trigger arrive, destroy them. I repeat, ANYBODY apart from those two agents - and myself and Asher, and Rose's droids of course.

I shall brief everyone properly when the four of you are united and ready.

The message cut out quickly, hopefully emphasising the seriousness of the situation Dakoter and Rose could potentially be in.
Posted by Dakoter A. on Aug. 09 2007,00:22
[Sorry, Rose; Double the Writer's Block, Double the fun.]

"Shouldn't, wouldn't, couldn't..."

Bored and waiting for anything interesting to happen, Dak immediately perked up as the message arrive. His hand pulled the mouse across the screen and opened the dispatch almost out of reflex.

Robotnik's voice came in loud and clear. So there was a security problem; the first thing he thought was "Awesome;" things had gotten pretty slow in very short amount of time, and though he wasn't excited about a threat to the Empire, he was definitely happy to have something to busy himself with.

"Rose," He began, bringing up a digital bird's-eye-view of the base and surrounding area, "Make sure all the radar systems are working on the minnows; I'm going to reposition them."

He picked up a stylus, tapping the image of a Minnow-craft on the display. The ship's radar range appeared as a light circle around it. Using the stylus, he dragged the little icon across the screen, doing the same for six other Minnow-class ships until they form a ring around the base, as geographically possible. He assigned three more to patrol within the ring, and the last to continue its construction duties.

Rose found that her own arguing was coming to a halt.

Well, at least she won’t have to go there...and then there was a bad feeling in the very pit of her stomach.

But, it wasn’t time for that kind of thinking. She had to get the empire into defense.

“ Right...” she muttered under her breath as she walked over to the main consul.

The first thing she did, was to do what he said. She checked the radar system on the minnows to see if they were working. After the information showed that everything was in the green, she put both of the bases on high alert, so everything would be at the defense and attack at a moments notice.

She sighed, as she continued on.

Next, after the High Alert was in affect through out both bases, she but all the computers on active control, which would make it harder to gain access to information, going to greater lengths to protect the systems. And last, but not least, she activated the manual confirmation, so it would be up to Rose or Dakoter to decided with to blow them up to heck or to let them pass just because they wouldn’t be worth the time.

Once down, she put the security monitor on screen and leaned against the wall.

“ Wonder what’s up.” She muttered, starring at the screen.

[Sorry. Robot Apocalypse.... and school Dx]

"Something's gotten under Doctor R's skin, for once... it's definately something big..."

He figured- or hoped- Byrain and Trigger wouldn't take too long, now. A few minutes ago he was bored; now he was just plain impatient. Little did he know, the two had a rather large delay...
Posted by Rose Fox on Sep. 10 2007,20:06
‘ And It doesn’t make me feel any better.’ Rose replied silently to herself, as she placed a few monitor screens up, glancing at everything to make sure everything was fine.

“ Hopefully, something that doesn’t bring to damage to our plans.” she replied as she looked over everything with stern eyes.

‘ And something that won’t ruin what little confidence I have left.’

[ I almost forgot this topic! D:]

[kinda from Mainframe]

A secure communication chirps to get Rose's attention; audio only.

"Rose, are you there?", a familiar voice asks.
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 07 2007,19:40
As she heared the voice, comeing from the speaker, Rose quickly put on a pair of headphones, and turned her side of the audio.

" Yes, Doctor." She replied, as she typed a little more to see how sercurity was going.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 07 2007,19:47
"I'm inbound to the base, should be there soon. What's the status of the robotizer and our guest?", he asks casually.
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 07 2007,19:51
Typeing quickly, Rose brought up the screen for the robotizer and looked over the information.

" Everything seems to be in place. As for our guest, Byrain has yet to return. He should be comeing though, thanks to what ever is happening. In fact, What the heck -is- going on? What's the emergancy??"
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 07 2007,20:05
"All in due time, Rose. We have a schedule to meet, thus the need for the rush. Contact Byrain and find out what the holdup is.", Robotnik orders.
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 07 2007,20:09
" Yes Doctor." Rose answered as she temporally cut off Robotnik's audio. With a few types, Rose opened Byrain's communications line.

{ Transmission to Back to the Underwater Base }
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 07 2007,20:59
Robotnik sits back as he awaits a reply. He opens a nearby panel and retrieves a bottle of soda from it, opening the drink and takes a long swig.... then proceeds to let loose a long belch, which is followed by giggling.
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 08 2007,16:25
Before Rose could reply to Byrain's answer, she found that he had already stopped the transmission.

She huffed at the rudeness of him hanging up on her out of sudden, before she turned Robotnik's audio back on.

" He's already here." She answered him, as she waited for his reply.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 08 2007,19:43
"Good," Robotnik replied, "I'll be there shortly. Robotnik out." He follows the statement with a short belch.
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 09 2007,16:59
Rose simply stared into space.

'Did...he just....'

As Rose began to realize the truth, she gave out a sigh. She placed her elbow on the control pannal and put her fingues at the cress* of her nose.

" I guess..." She started in a low tone, ", with great things comes a great consequences..."

She typed a few buttons with her left hand, giveing Byrian's shuttle clearance.

[* It's the place between the eyes. I don't know what it's called, but that's what I'm talking about.]
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 09 2007,18:24
"Woo, sorry 'bout that. Been a while since I could guzzle a cola like that. Heh!", Robo stated matter of factly. "Oh, and gimmie clearance. I can see the base from here. And, uh... better do it quickly."

Robotnik turned off the autopilot and grabbed the controls. With a smooth motion he pushed the transport to full throttle.

[ From Cross Country]

It didn't take too long, before the shuttle entered the base, and landed firmly on the ground.

Byrain leaned againsted the door, now with both knieves out, twirled them between his fingures.

" Hmm...makes me wonder what he's gonna do, yo." Byrain thought aloud, as he tried to intimidate the cat.
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Oct. 10 2007,04:51
Kitty, still in her cage, refused to be intimidated.

"Yeah, yeah. Now how about opening this stupid thing so I can get some legroom?"
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 10 2007,17:56
" Yes, Doctor." Rose replied, giveing cleance to the incomeing ship.

Afterwards, she got up from the chair, and walked down the hall to the hanger.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 11 2007,14:38
Robotnik noticed the bay doors opening.. slowly. He smirked to himself, "I said QUICKLY, Rose. Ah well, this should be fun!".

With a jerk of the control stick Robotnik forced the craft into a roll, managing to squeeze most of it through the slowly separating hangar doors. The tailfin clipped the hangar door and ripped off with a loud crunching noise, resulting in Robo's transport getting forced into a spinning crash across the hangar bay.
Posted by Byrain Fox on Oct. 11 2007,18:35
" Lemme think....no." Byrain said dully, as his eyes began to drup due to no action.

Fortunately though, it didn't take too long before something.

A loud crash was heard, with a bit of a tremble which caused Byrain to go into alert mode.

" What the eh?!" he exclaimed, as he opened the shuttle door to see what the commotion was about. He stared wide eyed at the crash, before two robots had already come up towards the shuttle. Byrain stared at the robots before giving orders.

" Er, you two, watch the cat 'till....she's needed. There. That works, yo."

As soon as he said that, he rushed off to the crash sight, the two robots entering the shuttle to watch over Kitty. Running at full speed, it didn’t take too long before he got up close to the crash sight. He blinked as he examined the damage and stayed in complete silence, unable to say anything at the moment.

After a bit of looking over, he finally got the guts to say something.

“ Umm, If you -just- so happen to be in there, boss,” he started somewhat shyly, “....and alive.....and not dead...........and not fatally wounded...., I just have one thing to say....”

A pause.

“I GIVE THAT CRASH A 10!!!” he shouted, putting both fists into the air with a large grin on his face.

Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Oct. 12 2007,03:36
(("Site" ≠ "sight"))

Dammit!

Well, this situation was unappealing. Not only was Kitty still caged up, but it sounded like something interesting had happened nearby, if that crash was any indication. And she had no way of knowing what it was.

Okay, stay calm. There's always a way out...

Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 12 2007,06:07
For a brief moment there was no reply. Then, muffled laughter could be heard from within the shuttle. It continued as the door the the shuttle door was kicked from within. But once the hinges gave in to the assault the door fell to the floor and the laughter was heard throughout the hangar bay as Robotnik emerged, quite unharmed.

"You got that right, Byrain! That was AWESOME!", he announced, "Ladies and gents, I have arrived!" Robotnik then gave a flourished bow and even more mirthful laughter.
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 13 2007,10:45
As Rose walked down the hall, she would soon find herself baffled as she heard (and felt) the crash in the hanger.

Her eyes opened in shock, as she began to ran towards the hanger. Of course, once getting a little more closer, she began to hear laughter, which caused her to slow. A confused look appeared on her face as she finally entered the hanger, to see Robotnik, laughing, ontop of the reacking.

She stood there stund, before she yelled out, " WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?!?!"
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 13 2007,16:22
Robotnik continued to chuckle as he turned to face Rose. "I told you to open the doors quickly, didn't I? Well, because of that I clipped this bird on the way in and crashed. And it was a good one, right Byrain?"
Posted by Byrain Fox on Oct. 13 2007,16:43
"Yes, it was!" Byrain shouted in agrement. " Despite the fact that I didn't get to see it, yo. Aw, well, sounded cool anyways."
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Oct. 13 2007,19:23
"..."

Kitty was still in her cage. But as she watched the robots guarding her, an idea clicked into her mind. She cleared her throat and spoke up, trying to imitate Byrain's voice as accurately as she could, and sort of covering her mouth with one hand so nobody would see her lips moving.

"I've done some thinkin', and I've changed my mind, yo. I think the lady cat trapped in the pet carrier needs a bit of air so she'll be rarin' to go for when the time comes. So c'mon, robots, howzabout you open up the cage door fo' her and let her roam some, eh?"

...She hoped that the robots' voice recognition software wasn't too advanced to be fooled by that.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 13 2007,19:41
[Just because it'd be funny I HAVE to let this happen. Tongue]

Call it a slip in the logic circuits, a random glitch caused by a damaged circuit board or pure random luck but... one of the robots actually falls for Kitty's trick.

"Yes, sir.", one of the guards responds in a static like voice. It turns around and unlocks the cage by punching in the code for the electronic lock which, unfortunately, responds with a louder than one would like chime.
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 13 2007,19:41
A dumfounded face became clearly plastered on her face.

Oh. Dear. Robotics. No.

The face of dumfouded, soon became dull as she walked over towards them.

" Like I had control over the speed of the door anywho." Rose replied as she got over them.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 13 2007,19:57
"E-mer-gen-cee Oh-ver-ride. Silly girl....", Robo's reply trails off as he looks across the hangar bay, tilting his head slightly. "Did you guys hear something?"
Posted by Byrain Fox on Oct. 13 2007,20:04
Byrain narrowed his eyes in curiosty as he heared the chime sound.

"....Um, whay do I have a bad feeling about that sound right now, yo?" Byrain asked as he looked towards Robotnik and then towards the shuttle.
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Oct. 14 2007,05:19
YES!

As the lock released and the door swung itself open, Kitty stepped out and stretched her limbs.

Ah... that felt GREAT! Maybe I should look into becoming a secret agent. Okay, first order of business: figure out where I am.

She stepped out of the shuttle she'd been caged in and glanced around, immediately spotting the somewhat-damaged bay doors.

Whoa! Looks like someone tried to come in when the doors weren't all the way open... or something like that. I guess that would explain that crash earlier. Well, I should be able to see out if I get closer...

Figuring this out, Kitty began her approach to the aforementioned bay doors.
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 14 2007,07:21
Rose blinked, wondering what was going on, until she saw the cat walking towards the bay doors.

" I believe -THAT- is what your hearing, sir." She answered, pointing towards the cat.

Robotniks expression changes to one of mild aggitation. "Well, she's got nowhere she can run to. Byrain, you take a squad of robots and capture her. Rose, I want you to find out why she escaped. I'll prepare tonights broadcast."
Posted by Byrain Fox on Oct. 14 2007,14:48
" Eh, I can catch her myself, yo. " Byrain said carelessly, " Can't be too much of a problem."

Byrain began to walk over back towards the shuttle. Once there, he signaled the two robots to come along with him, before walking towards Kitty.
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Oct. 14 2007,15:21
Drat! I've been spotted already.

Noticing Byrain and the guards tailing her, Kitty hastened her pace and darted around several generic Robotnik airships in a sort of random zigzag path, hoping to lose them.

I've gotta give that punk and those robots the slip if I'm ever going to get out of here. This is just like Metal Gear Solid, only my name's not Snake...
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 14 2007,15:43
" Right.” Rose said, walking over to a monitor and began to type fast, trying to find the problem. “Also, just out of curiosity, what’s the big emergency anyways? An information leak or what?*”

(( * She’s talking about the Metallix problem.))
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 14 2007,18:20
"What do you mean, Rose?", Robotnik asked as he turned towards the exit.

The two robots followed Byrain's order and trailed behind him.
Posted by Byrain Fox on Oct. 14 2007,18:41
"....Boy, how orginal, yo." Byrain retored, as he rolled his eyes.

" Okay, so, you got that-away," Byrain said as he pointed to on of the robots to go towards the far side right of the hanger, " And you go that-away while I'll trail her behind." Byrain fishied, ordering the other robot to go over to the other end of the hanger.

Putting his hands in his pockets, he began to zig, zag through the planes and shuttles. As he went through, he took one hand out of his pockets and cupped it over his mouth.

" Okay, yo. You can come out now." Byrain said in a unamused tone, " Not like you can get away anywho, yo."
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Oct. 15 2007,03:49
Oh, I can't, can I? Well, just watch me.

By now, Kitty had done quite a bit of quick zigging and zagging, so it wasn't likely that Byrain could still see her. She took the opportunity to slip into a nearby aircraft to hide; the door had luckily been left unlocked.

Let's see how long I can evade him...
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 15 2007,18:19
Rose continued to type, the scan was about one fourth complete, which made Rose a little angery.

" Why you made the bases go code red. Unfortunetly, I can't say much more since you really didn't tell us what the situation was all about."
Posted by Irridrix on Oct. 16 2007,16:07
[From station square]

Irridrix was flying in full speed. His pack was about to over heat so he decided to touch down on the island that would take him him to where Dr. Robotnik was. He started heading for the hangar where Byrain would be with "the package".
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 16 2007,16:59
Robotnik paused at the exit a moment to answer, "Because there's been a glitch with Metallix. I'll explain it later. Meet me in the command room when you are done with the investigation." With that he continued on into the hallway.

The robots followed Byrains' orders, taking up flanking positions within the hanger to pin Kitty down.
Posted by Byrain Fox on Oct. 16 2007,17:04
After a bit of going through he stopped, looked around, and sighed.

" Boy, this is really dull, yo." Byrain replied, looking both ways.

" Hey, Robot Guys! Mind Scanning for any life form in the room!?" Byrain yelled, as his poster became worse.
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Oct. 16 2007,18:51
If I stay here, he's bound to find me eventually. I'd better think of something.

After a bit of hesitation, Kitty slipped into the cargo bay of the aircraft she was hiding in. It was stocked with several different samples of ammunition for various weapons. There were even some metallic drum cans filled with various explosive chemicals. But one of them was dry, and Kitty climbed into it to hide.

Perfect! It's just my size. I wonder if he'll find me in here...
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 16 2007,20:56
" Oh, Metallix had a glitch, and I thought it was-" Rose stoped her sentance as she looked at the screen blankly. The scan was just about three fourths done, when she began to break, slilently.

"Not........again....." Rose replied, trying to hold her feelings in, without breaking down.

After a while, the scan was complete and it should the information. It clearly stated that the two robots had a glitch in there commading chips, where even the most worest of immitations could be vaild.

" Oh....so that's what's what." Rose said, as she looked towards the exit. She looked at the screen, and then back towards the exit before she bega her way towards and down the hallway.
Posted by Irridrix on Oct. 16 2007,21:07
Irridrix entered the hangar throwing Metallix's limp metal body on the ground to take a look around. He caused an awful loud bang. He saw that a transport had crashed, but other than that everything seemed fine. He picked up the scrap of metal that was his brother and started his search for the doctor.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Oct. 17 2007,17:32
The elevator doors slid open obediently as Robotnik approached. He entered and pushed the button for the level housing the Command Center. While he waited Robotnik pulled his PDA from his pocket and put in a command with the central computer to load the video image disguising software.

As he operated the device a notification about Irridix' arrival chimed. "Hmm, mission successful I hope.", he said to himself as he arched a brow.

In response to Byrain's request both robots pointed in a direction. A location filled with drum cans containing various chemicals.
Posted by Byrain Fox on Oct. 21 2007,15:42
" Find her yet?" Byrain shouted, his voice carrying. " Well, if ya did, begin closeing in on her. And make sure -not- to kill her when she starts runnin' too, yo." He began walking straight, looking to the sides to see in which direction the robots may come to.
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Oct. 21 2007,17:12
((You guys are making it sound like Kitty's trick shouldn't have fooled anyone.))

For the moment, Kitty remained where she was. Inside an empty drum can, in the cargo bay of an aircraft, inside the gigantic hangar. With Byrain and those robots seeking her, it'd be a bad idea for her to leave her hiding place.

Carefully, Kitty used her claw to punch a small hole in the side of the can- the walls were thin and the can was a little aged, so it gave quite cleanly- and peered through it. Nobody was around but a bunch of ammo and other drum cans. But she decided she still wouldn't take any chances. Any minute now her pursuers might burst in.
Posted by Rose Fox on Oct. 25 2007,17:21
As Rose got to the elevator, she looked behind, wondering where the metal clanking noise was coming from. As she looked surprised at the sight she was seeing, her draw dropped.

There was a Metal looking version of Knuckles. Carrying an obvious corpse of Metallix.

As she turned back to the front, her expression would look as though she might have died, and would continue this look as she got into the elevator to the Control Center.
Posted by Irridrix on Oct. 25 2007,23:49
Irridrix decided to check the control center for the Doctor. He headed towards the elevator and saw a fox in the elevator. The elevator took off for the control room. He pushed the call button and waited for it to come back

[Actually, Rose is a human. Smile]

[And Kitty, these are robots with sensor equiptment. Your hiding is effective against humans, but only somewhat effective against robots.]

Robotnik is at a computer terminal scanning program code when Rose arrives. He turns to face her and notices the expression on her face. "What's the matter, Rose?"

Meanwhile, in the hangar the bots begin moving in on their target; professionally tracking her heat signature.

Through her peephole, Kitty could see the two robots pursuing her.

Hm... I get the message that hiding like this won't do squat for me. I'd better move.

Kitty tried to climb out of the barrel, but the walls were too high, and she couldn't quite make it. Ultimately she tipped it over, creating a *clunk* noise, and somehow managed to get it upside-down on top of her, covering her like an overturned cup.

Well, this isn't exactly what I had in mind. Wonder if this is any better than my previous situation.

Rose's expresion didn't changed as she looked at him to answer his question.

" Hebegi-"

She blinked as the first set of words that came out of her mouth. She blinked again before tried again.

" Hebonde-"

She blinked again, her expression looked dumfounded.

' Okay, why can't I form -words- all of a sudden?' She thought to her self as she tried again for words.

" Hekinslof......." As she realized that words weren't wanting to form, her tone went tone through the words as an expression of annoince appeared on her face.

Irridrix tapped on the wall as he was going up. The music was kind of delightful, but the corpse being in the elevator made it a little gloomy.

The elevator chimed as the doors opened up in the control room.He picked up the corpse and walked out.

"Doctor, you in here?"
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Nov. 07 2007,14:28
The robots began to quickly move the barrels, making a path towards Kitty's location. It wouldn't take them long to get to her at this rate.

Back in the control room. "Something the matter, Rose?", Robotnik asked. With an air of humor he continued, "Are my stunning good looks making it difficult to talk? I seem to have that effect on people."

Before Rose could respond the voice of Irridix came from the elevator. "Yeah, Irridix, I'm here." As soon as he noticed the broken form of Metallix Robo added, "And I see you were successful. Good work."

Kitty had just gotten the drum can off of her and made a break for the exit, knocking over several other drum cans on her way. Unfortunately, one can made a spark as it struck another, and that spark must have ignited something among all the ammo and explosives...

*POW*

Whoa! What was that?

The sudden burst of heat warmed Kitty's back as she hastened her pace. More bursts followed as the first one ignited others. She wasn't sure what was going on back there, but she wasn't about to look back to find out.

"I'd like to have him repaired but to have an obedience system like me Doctor. That way he will never turn on the Empire again. Besides, with my power and his speed we could definitely defeat Sonic and his friends."

[Just waiting on Rose since I am in the middle of a conversation with her.]

[Time to get things moving. Big events happening and stuff!]

Before Rose could answer an urgent chime sounded from Robotniks datapad. "Eh..?" he grunted curiously as he glanced over the device. "An event? What's going on?" A video feed begins to play that's been transmitted by one of Robo's covert bots in the Capitol.

Several moments pass as he watches the video, and with every passing minute his expression grew angrier. At the end of the transmission Robotnik slowly stands up, took a deep long breath and grabbed a random piece of equipment in the room only to hurl it into a wall.

"This is MY world to conquer! And these fools think they can waltz in here and try to take it?! I don't FRACKIN think so!!" Robo punches up the comms to the swatbots on the station. "All swatbots, apprehend the intruder Kitty O'Brien and bring her to me immediately!"

In response all the swatbots that were guarding stations begin to move towards her location. The two already on her trail hasten their efforts to reach her as the fire suppression systems in the area release foam all over the area.

"This is just unbelieveable. This ruins my timetable. Now I have to cancel my plans." he states as he shakes his head. A few taps on the datapad bring up the status of the Egg Carrier. "It's almost complete. Good. Rose, Irridix, come with me. And bring that scrap pile, too." he orders as he heads to the elevator. Once everyone gets in the elevator he punches in a code. Destination: Egg Carrier.

[I'm just going to have to assume Rose follows and eventually Byrain.]

[I'm just gonna go ahead and post.]

Irridrix got in the elevator with the metal sonic. He looked at the Doctor. He seemed very angry.

"Doctor you seem angry. Don't be, I have a hunch that we will be able to defeat this wannabe Empire. I think it would be much easier to defeat them with mine and my brother's power combined. The only problem is that it would take months to repair his CPU and obedience system."

He looked at the Doctor to see his response

((Swatbots! What universe do you think you're in?))

Oh ----. I've got everyone on my trail now. Looks like there's only one thing to do now...

Kitty made a run for it, going as fast as she could, crisscrossing through the crowd of robots and looking for an exit. A ladder running up to the roof of the hangar caught her eye, and she jumped on it and made her way up it as quickly as possible.

This better be my way out. I'm sick of being the mouse instead of the cat.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Dec. 05 2007,17:44
[None of these damn things have a proper name yet, so for now I'm calling the security robots "Swatbots".]

The swatbots fire warning shots above Kitty's head. "Surrender now or we will be forced to subdue you!" one of the bots orders.

Back in the elevator Robotnik watches the video feed again. "I don't think we have that much time, Irridix. Besides, one robot will not make much difference at this moment. Sheer firepower and numbers are what we need."

A soft tone sounds the end of the elevators decent. The doors part to reveal a massive underground facility that bustles with activity; countless worker robots are busily working on a massive airship. The Egg Carrier!
Posted by Rose Fox on Dec. 05 2007,21:46
[ Sorry. This will not happen again.]

Rose, (who had been following silently) looked at the carrier with great awe. She watched as the robots moved to and fro, the place bustling with activity.
‘ Woah…I’ve never seen this many robots in just on concentrated area….‘
She thought to herself as she looked around. To think, that there were more robots was baffling. Hearing the number one million wasn’t the same as seeing one million. She thought she’d know what those numbers looked like, but now, she knew she was wrong. She wondered just how many robots were down there.

"Doctor here is what my strategy is for the upcoming battle. you see GUN is probably already on the move scrambling jets and whatever other kind of weaponry they have. Here is a way we can also get the people of the world to follow you without force. All we simply do is join forces with our old enemies to fight this new one. Since the military strategy is to go head on full force I suggest we attack from the sides and the back surrounding them. This way we can also board their ships, salvage their weaponry and gain their knowledge. Also, to insure that we don't get surrounded we attack in waves, and if need be use the egg carrier. If you like I can stay back and help with production. Just give me a comm link with you in case our strategy needs a little bit of tweaking."

*Irridrix loved how fast he came up with that strategy after all he was made for strategy and recon.*

“……………”
Byrain just stood there and paused. He put his hands in his pockets and watched the commotion. Sure, he knew he could catch her. But the thing was, he really didn’t feel like it. She was just not his type to deal with. The cat reminded him a lot of the girl rouges in the desert.
Bossy, and annoying.

And he didn’t feel like messing with Bossy, and Annoying. So, as he watched the continued chase, he began to walk off, saying, “ Okay, you finish the job, yo. I’ll just go on in and check on the Boss.”
So, he walked back to where he was before, seeing some of the robots already cleaning up the Boss’s little crash site, and started walking down a corridor. As he walked in about half way, he saw an elevator to the left side. He looked at it strangely, before opening the door and stepped inside.

Kitty glanced over her shoulder. She'd barely flinched when the warning shot was fired.

"Go take a hike, Tin Can Squad. I've got my own agenda, and surrendering isn't on it."

She'd finally reached the top of the ladder. A hatch in the ceiling led up to the roof, but it was locked.

Drat! So much for my escape route. Now what do I do...
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Dec. 06 2007,18:11
Before, Robotnik was mad. But once Irridix finished his suggestion Robotnik was positively infuriated.

"What?!", he yelled, " You dare suggest I crawl to those wretches and PLEA for their help? Me? Robotnik, genius ruler of the largest and most advanced robotic army! I don't think so! I should have you melted into slag for even suggesting it!! No, if they want my help they will have to ask ME! BEG for my help and pay me to do it!"

At that moment the comm on Robotniks hip chirps. With a frustrated grunt he puts the comm to his ear and listens. Then he grunts again, a bit more frustrated. THEN he taps a couple of keys on the comm and begins to talk into it.

Back in the hangar the megaphones mounted around the area key on, then a voice speaks...actually it yells... LOUD and clear.

"KITTY O'BRIEN, SURRENDER TO MY BOTS NOW OR I'LL HAVE THEM KNOCK YOUR WORTHLESS HIDE OUT, SHAVE YOUR HEAD AND HAVE AN 'I LOVE ROBOTNIK' TATOO INKED ON IT. AND I'LL MAKE SURE A RIVAL NEWS AGENCY FINDS YOU FIRST!!"
Posted by Rose Fox on Dec. 06 2007,18:30
At first Rose winced at the Doctor's yelling. It -was- loud after all. But afterwards, she blinked and began to snicker silently as she could. It wasn't exactly the right time to laugh, despite the fact that it would be funny.

Heck, what was she thinking, it would be freaking hilarious!

The very thought of it reminded her of days when she blew up stuffed animals, and catapulted water balloons at the newspaper boy. It overall was bringing back good memories.
Except for it making it harder not to laugh. By now, it was obvious she was trying to hold it in.
Posted by Irridrix on Dec. 06 2007,18:58
Irridrix didn't wince at the doctor's furious rant.
"Doctor I never said for us to go crawling to them for help they are going to need our help. Think about it if we show up in Capitol later than usual the army will be shortened and the new enemy forces weakened. We go in and strike the new enemy while they are weakened from the military then we attack the military. Therefore, giving us capitol."

He looked over to the other occupant in the elevator.

"I don't believe we met and I haven't seen your file yet. I'm Irridrix, Metallix's worst nightmare. Who are you?"
Posted by Byrain Fox on Dec. 07 2007,21:16
He looked over the buttons, carefully.

" Now....what to push, yo...."

He narrowed his eye lids, glancing at the grid, before pressing a random button. He felt the elevator shutter, as the elevator began to go down. Once it got to its destination, a soft tone could be heard before the door opened. He took a step outside and looked around.

Nothing.

“ …Nah, not it, yo.”

He stepped back inside and pressed another button. As the door closes another shutter was felt, as it began to go up. The soft tone rung, and the doors opened. He stepped outside again, just to see a few passing robots.

“………This can’t be it either, yo.”

He stepped back inside. Another press of the button, it went down again. Soft tone, door opens.
Back where he started.

He paused as he looked at the grid. He pressed another button. The elevator went down. Soft tone, door opens. He steps outside and looks around once again.

Storage room.

“….This is getting a bit agitating, yo. Where are all the bots’ at?”

He stepped inside, grunting with frustration. He stared at the grid once more. After he observed the buttons carefully, he pressed one of the very last buttons. And thus the process repeats. The elevator shakes a bit, it decents, soft tone, door opens…

“ Ooohhh….so that’s where they be.”

He looked around at the masses of robots going to and fro , building some…airship thing. He stepped out of the elevator, making sure he stayed out of the robots path and began walking at the sidelines. He looked around, trying to see if he could find the doctor.

Unfortunately for Kitty, one such loudspeaker happened to be stationed right next to the ladder, and the force of Eggman's yelling nearly propelled her off... but somehow she managed to stay on.

He better not be serious about that. Okay, now I really need to get out of here. Time for another secret-agent trick.

Kitty's eyes fell to the hinges on the ceiling hatch. Working carefully but quickly, she began to undo the hinges using her claws, at the same time trying very hard to get a certain mental image out of her head.

[From Station Square...]

Right about now, the hanger door air locks sounded a caution klaxon as the doors opened, allowing a new ship to enter the Hanger bay.

Trig had been a little surprised when his ship had dove into the sea, but after the initial shock, he was relieved to find not only had it been intentional, but the ship was well built for the task.

As he slung his laser rifle over his shoulder and exited the craft, the last thing he was expecting to see was Kitty, their target, dangling off a ladder against the far wall of the hanger with a group of SWAT-bots surrounding the bottom with Byrian no where in plain sight.

He slapped his hand across his face in irritation. "Ya want something down right, never call in a fella that keeps say'n "yo"!" he grumbled as he unslung his rifle and rather casually walked over to the base of the ladder.

"Well now, looks like these robo-doggies just chased a poor little kitty up a tree." he mocked as he stared up at where Kitty was.

"Now how's about you come on down before you get yourself hurt?" he said, in a calm, casual manner that just did not fit the situation at all; at least, not if he really was trying to help her.

But before he let her respond, his demeanor darkened, and his voice dropped an octave to provide a more sinister nature. "Cause I guarantee, if you don't cooperate, I WILL, hurt you up something fierce."
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Dec. 08 2007,14:03
With an air of aggitation Robotnik watches as Kitty continues her futile attempts to escape. She's a fighter, that's for sure and Robo holds a certain level of respect for that. But now wasn't the time to play around.

Video feeds from the hangar show Trigger had arrived, so Robo opens a brief comlink to him. "Trigger, cover your ears." was all he ordered. With a few quick taps on his computer pad a sharp, loud and shrill tone began to emit from the loudspeakers in the hangar.

He then turns to speak at Irridix, Rose and the approaching Byrain. "Listen, I have a plan. Once our little newscaster problem is taken care of I'll fill you all in on what will be happening. Got it?"

[Kitty, if you're trying to escape because you think capture is going to lead to death or robotization I want you to know that won't happen. I actually have a plan that I think would go right up Kitty's alley. PM me if you want any details.

PS, if Kitty falls she will be caught safely. Smile]

Irridrix decided to stand down. After all he didn't want to be deactivated because of a strategy. He just stared at the other occupant while searching for her file in the empire's records.

It didn't take too long before he saw the opened elevator door while trying to avoid getting squashed. And while he was avoiding giant robotic feet, he made his way over to the open door, and stood towards the side so his body would be halved blocked.

“So…What are we gonna do again?” He asked, not really knowing what the doctor said.
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Dec. 09 2007,23:28
(("Caught safely," he says...))

Kitty didn't pay attention to a word Trigger said. She was halfway through undoing the hinges when the noise came. She quickly found herself hanging on again as the wind from the loudspeaker tossed her. And the fact that her ears were now ringing like crazy didn't help.

And then... she lost her grip.

Momentum coupled with gravity gave her flight path the shape of a half-parabola as she sailed through the air with nothing to grab on to. Her most likely landing point appeared to be the empty floor a few meters past the edge of the crowd of robots.

Her reflexes taking effect, Kitty reoriented her body so that if she did hit the floor, she'd land perfectly on her feet. Cats tended to do that.

Of course, if something intercepted her...
Posted by Ivan "Trigger" on Dec. 11 2007,23:13
As instructed the badger covered his ears; and a good thing too. Even with his paws blocking the noise, it was still loud enough to pass through them.

But, it wasn't so distracting that he wasn't able to watch as Kitty lost her grip and fell. Though Trigger would have enjoyed just letting the cat fall, or kicking her in the gut as she landed on her feet, he didn't want to risk her trying to make a break for it once her feet hit the floor; thus prolonging this pointless hunt.

"Heeeeere, kitty, kitty, kitty." he mocked as he held out his hands to catch Kitty around the waist just before she hit the ground; and in doing so kept her from getting her claws into him as he caught her.

Trigger's strength easily allowed him to catch Kitty. But just as quickly as he absorbed the fall, he roughly swung the cat around and threw her into the hard metal chest of one of the SWAT-bots; which, after Kitty impacted the hard metal chest, promptly placed and iron grip around her, holding her in a bear hug.

"There ya go. All snug as a bug." He jested, clapping his hands together as though he were cleaning them of some dust. "Now, be good, or I'll bust yer legs so ya can't run again."

"Cat's in the bag, Boss. Where do ya want her?" He asked, switching on his signal device.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Dec. 12 2007,14:46
"Good work, Trigger. Now bring her to me. The bots know the way so follow them.", Robotnik ordered evenly. He then closed the commlink and turned to the others.

"'What are we gonna do', you ask? Quite simply we are going to use a popular news agent to broadcast an offer, Byrain. My help.... but at a price.", he says with a wick smirk. "Who can guess what I'll be asking for?"
Posted by Rose Fox on Dec. 12 2007,15:50
Rose crossed her arms.

" The world." She answered.

Of course she herself was a little edgy with the plan. She didn't exactly think it would work. With her already knowing how the government worked, they weren't exactly the type to ask for help. And furthermore, she was afraid of another defeat.
Yes, the empire was powerful, and yes maybe they were better than G.U.N. But, the things she saw on the screen were beginning to tell her that just being ‘one step ahead’ of the other groups was not going to help. They’re weaponry looked advanced, maybe even too advanced for them. How could they possible stand up to them?

‘Wait….what am I THINKING?!’

She slapped herself mental. ‘Too Advanced?!? How could we stand up…!? What am I THINKING,’she yelled in her brain. ‘This is the Robotnik Empire!! THE.ROBOTNIK.EMPIRE. I should be saying, how could they possible stand up to us!!! ACK!!! KILL ME –NOW- FOR SAYING SUCH A THING!!!’

She stood there with a blank stare, obviously deep in thought.
Posted by Irridrix on Dec. 12 2007,21:01
Irridrix began to wonder. This new enemy was not earthly nor did they seem like they want to sit down and have a up of tea with the world. Their plan was to conquer this world city by city. Seems simple to them at this time but they caught the world with our pants down. Now we can expect them security systems around the world are probably warming up waiting for this new army whomever they were. Now he was thinking if the doctor would ever take his plan into action. Probably not though since he seemed to be of the stubborn nature. He was way different from his teenager self.

[I'm gonna post out of turn a little just to react to those near Robo. To "pass time" until Kitty and Trigger show up.]

Robotnik looks at Rose and answers her with a simple "Nope!" He then turns to Byrain. "Basically, Byrain, some idiots from who-knows-where are here and trying to cut in on my turf. So my current plans are shot to hell. Rose, show him what I am talking about."
Posted by Rose Fox on Dec. 14 2007,20:38

" Yes, Doctor." She replied.

She began to type onto the keyboard, getting the image up for Byrain to see. Afterwards, she began to ponder excatly what the Doctor was up too...

Irridrix cut out of the mainframe since Rose was getting in and he didn't want her to update security. His battery was starting to run low.

"Doctor we need to hurry. I am getting very low on energy."
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Dec. 15 2007,02:52
WHOA!

It all happened so fast. She barely even had time to react when Trigger caught her and tossed her into the other robot's grasp. She tried to put up a struggle, but it was no good.

Dammit! I was so close, and it was all for nothing!
Posted by Ivan "Trigger" on Dec. 16 2007,03:11
"Roger that, Boss." Trigger replied before the comlink went off. "Alright you tin-can's, take us to the boss-man."

With that, the bot's would begin to lead the way through the corridors until they brought them to the elevator. Only the one bot carrying Kitty entered the elevator with them, but it did access the elevators' controls remotely to assign it to the correct floor.

A moment or so later as the elevator dropped, it would open up to the room where the others were gathered. "So Byrian, can't even keep a bloody reporter under control huh? What about all that camera gear I stole? Loose that stuff too? It get up and walk away too?" He growsed at Byrian as he stepped off the elevator.

Robotnik furrows his brow at Irridix's complaint. "Then switch off unnecessary systems! You'll get a chance to recharge soon enough."

At that moment Trigger and the detained Kitty enter the Egg Carrier hangar. Trigger makes a smart alek remark to Byrain to which Robo butts in.

"Don't start anything right now, Trigger.", Robotnik snapped, "We got more important things on our plate. Such as our new guest." He steps close to Kitty and looks her in the eyes. "Hello, Ms O'Brien. I am Dr. Robotnik."

" Stuffs in the plane thing." He replied simply, paying attention to the video more then what Trigger was saying. After it finished, he turned his attention to Robotnik and the cat. His expression was dull and he clearly looked bored.

Kitty didn't even smile when Robotnik introduced himself. She was right in the middle of trying to get her arms free.

Wow, he looks a lot younger in person. "It's such an honor to meet you, Dr. R. I must say, I'm quite pleased with the exceedingly luxurious accommodations you make for your VIP guests. (You could cut the sarcasm with a knife.) I'm sure many people would give anything for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to be trapped in a windowless cage more suitable for wild animals, on board some dented old aircraft in a hangar bay that hasn't been cleaned in months, with barely any idea of where you are. Now if only I had a room with a view- OOF!"

Trigger was fed up with the cat's smart mouth and before she could finish that sentence, he swung around and slammed the butt of his laser rifle into Kitties gut. "SHADDAP!!" He screamed.

"Yer just lucky I don't just shoot that smart mouth a' yours right off here and now. But push me, just far enough, and your dead before you hit the ground you disgusting furball." He threatened, pressing the barrel of his rifle into the underside of his jaw, leaving his other hand hanging precariously close to the trigger.

"Now now now, Trigger. There is no need for that. Kitty is our guest.", Robotnik stated calmly. He turned his attention back to Kitty, "A room with a view can be arranged. A room with proper accomidations, of course. That is, of course, if you accept the job I'm about to offer you."

Of course, he could sence that she was completely calm. Still, no death threats, no 'glareing of doom'.

Kitty hesitated slightly. She had almost gotten her right arm free.

"First, tell me where we are, who your accomplices here are, and... how you lost so much weight so quickly. Then we'll talk business."

"About 2 miles below sea level, none of your concern right now and will only be revealed during the interview.", Robotnik replied in a friendly tone.
Posted by Ivan "Trigger" on Dec. 28 2007,16:21
"If you say so boss." Trigger replied when Robotnik told him to quiet down.

But when Kitty started her little interrogation, Trigger's hair-line patience wore thin again. "She's a bit too cocky for your own good, CAT!" He growled, grabbing the collar of Kitty's shirt and roughing her up a bit. "We ask the questions, and you don't really have much of a choice anyways. You don't cooperate, and I'll happily slit your throat and watch you gag on yer own blood as you die. So don't go think'n you have any slack here, cause your life is in our hands."

He pressed the barrel of his gun into Kitty's jaw again, harder this time; nearly to the point it would close her wind pipe. "How's it feel huh? To be totally at another's mercy? Cause I know I'm enjoying being the one IN control."

He was trying to scare her right now; pure and simple. Intimidate her to the point where she'd be too scared for her life to try and oppose them. And Trigger really did enjoy making his enemies squirm; so this was as much for fun as it was for practical reasons.
Posted by Rose Fox on Jan. 01 2008,14:03
Rose watched as the scene unfolded itself. She watched the badger get quick with anger, threatening the cat with his gun.

She sighed deeply before placing her hand over her face, two over figures tips reaching out to her for head. She closed her eyes as she deiced to let it go on. Sure, she was getting a little bit tired of Trigger and his rude little outburst, and sure, she would like to go on with everything.

But, judging the way Trigger had acted towards her, it was best if she left him alone.
Posted by Byrain Fox on Jan. 01 2008,14:07
Byrain simply blinked as he watched. Sure, he'd probably love to help Trigger and his whole, ' Scare the Innocent, poor, little, cat', but he felt like it wasn't the right time. If Doctor Robotnik already told Trigger to stand down, then the same would probably happen to him.
He'd wait until later.
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Jan. 01 2008,14:18
Trigger's second offensive didn't scare Kitty, but it certainly got her attention. This would not do. She said something else to her "host".

"Dr. Robotnik... I think we'd all appreciate it if you asked this kook holding a gun to my head to leave the room before he kills someone. Me, for example."
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jan. 01 2008,15:32
Robo folder his arms and looked at Trigger sternly. "Trigger! This is not an interrogation. Get on the ship and calm down right now!", Robotnik ordered.

[Assuming Trigger listens]

"My apologies for his actions. He is a good soldier but he has issues at times, ya know?"

(Sorry guys been busy)

Irridrix hooked up to the other swat bot so they could share power. There was no need to risk a dead battery. He got back into the mainframe and started searching for info files to catch up on the years of events that he missed. It was easier this time since he was hooked to a swat bot which is hooked to the mainframe for security purposes

Trigger looked back over his shoulder to Robotnik slowly, then back to Kitty. He sneered and growled, barring his sharp teeth at Kitty fiercely. "Don't get comfortable. And watch your back, cause if you don't I'll be right there." he threatened in a low, menacing voice; bringing his face right up to Kitty's, their noses only separated by a few millimeters.

After a sharp shove, Trigger withdrew his laser rifle and stormed away past Robotnik, giving a casual, two fingered salute to the larger human as he walked past. "All yours boss."

And waiting wasn't too pleasant either for him. Already, just not doing anything at all, and listening to a 'little' argument was starting to make him inpatient. He needed something to do.

Anything.

Even WALKING. At least it wasn't just standing. Even if it MEANT causing his own death, at least it was SOMETHING.

" Ehhhh, I'll go with him a keep an eye on him or something like that." Byrain said quietly as he began to walk with Trigger, putting his arms behind his head.

Robotnik punches some keys on a panel next to the elevator. It slams shut violently and sparks fly from the seams of the door, welding it shut.

"It's quite up your alley, Miss O'Brien. Walk with us as I fill you in. Swatbot, you may release her. There is no where for her to run."

Kitty is released, but they still hold there weapons level in case there are further problems. He turns and walks along the gangplank towards the Egg Carrier, motioning for Rose and Kitty to follow. Kitty gets nudged by the barrel of a gun if she doesn't start moving immediately.

"Simply put,", Robotnik continues, "I'm going to need to broadcast some announcements to the world. While in the past I would normally just hack into the networks well, let's say now I've.... turned over a new leaf. I want the news to help me send out a message. But I didn't want just anyone... I wanted Kitty O'Brien! So what do you say? How would you like exclusive rights to sending my message to the world, Kitty?"

[Sorry Irridix, just moving along here]

Trigger was marching along up ahead of Robotnik and Kitty. And quite frankly, doing his best to ignore Byrian. But at the same time he was listening to Robotnik's conversation. All this talking was getting on his nerves though. He never really was one to be idle for any length of time.
Posted by Byrain Fox on Jan. 19 2008,16:48
Byrain looked straight ahead towards Trigger and looked to the side. Not much use taking to the badger ahead. After all, he seemed to not like anyone one at all, except maybe the Doctor.

"Gee, Doesn't that just sound like someone -else- I know..." Byrain mumbled to himself, as he glanced behind him to see a glimpse of his cousin, Rose. Sure, the badger was way different from his stuck-up cousin of his, but even he had to admit, they were something alike when it came to hating people.

Which is the ‘treating everyone in the world like dirt, except for the crazy guy trying to take over the world’. He sighed silently and closed his eyes.

“Man....what a bummer..." He mumbled to himself once more.
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Jan. 19 2008,17:10
Kitty folded her arms as she followed.

"And I'm sure that raiding a news station and kidnapping a celebrity to do the talking for you is much, much more humane than a simple hack job. What sort of message did you have in mind?"

She slowed her pace slightly, but sped up again when she felt the gun-barrel touch her back. And as a professional newscaster, she was never afraid to speak out no matter what the cost was.
Posted by Rose Fox on Jan. 19 2008,21:05
Once she saw the motion she followed obediently, walking past Kitty without making any noise. Though, she kept her distance, putting herself between them on the far left.

[Terribly sorry guys ive been a bit preoccupied with school work my english teacher loves to give out essays]

Irridrix hopped onto a swatbot to make it carry him so he would use less energy. His power was dangerously low. His vision was flickering on and off. Thank goodness he was hooked up to the swat bot or he would probably be dead.

"What can I say? It's my style!", Robotnik replied with a shrug, "Besides, I'm sure your receptionist would have just hung up if I said 'Hey, it's Robotnik. Could you squeeze me in somewhere on Kitty's schedule?'" He chuckles a moment.

"But enough of that. I want you to setup a broadcast to the world that I'm willing to help fight the new threat. But to do so I will need at least three of the chaos emeralds to power the weapon.", he states as they climb the gangplank onto the deck of the Egg Carrier. Robo turns to look at Kitty, "You think you can do that?"
Posted by Ivan "Trigger" on Jan. 21 2008,18:33
Trigger listened to Robotnik's intentions, and he growled angrily as his temper flared up. He turner around, obviously ticked at the thought of Robotnik aiding those he had planned to attack anyways. "That's it?! All that effort and you just wanted her to deliver a message you could have sent yourself!! And what's more you want to help your own enemy!!"

Something didn't add up. Trigger knew from past experiences that Robotnik had a nack for hacking into global communication networks. Heck, they weren't encrypted like GUN's network was so anyone with the know-how and equipment could do it. And with that in mind, why would Robotnik want someone else to do the talking for him? He was sure Robotnik would do a better job of impressing his point as anyone else.

Byrain put a questionable look on his face.

The Doctor.....could?

Hmm. Didn't know that.

But, as he pondered through his(almost non-existed)brain, he had thought of the possible answer to Trigger's little outburst.

"Well, by the looks of things, I'd say that the boss is trying to make a good expression on the enemy." Byrain began with his little theory, "After all, if he was trying to gain their help, then hacking into their own computer frame might give on the wrong example. And that expression 'The Enemy, of my Enemy, is my friend' or, something like that is probably the reason we’re going to help them. Not to mention afterwards we can stab them in back real quick. –IF-, they don’t stab us first.”

"..."

Kitty thought about Dr. R's last request.

"Did you say 'new threat'? I must have missed the memo on that."
Posted by Rose Fox on Jan. 27 2008,13:24
Rose side glanced as she walked up the gang plank as well.

“ Gee, maybe he –does- have a brain.” Rose mumbled quietly under her breath as she glared at her cousin.
Obviously, she underestimated his thinking ability. She’d have to keep note of that.

[Teh Dak is Back... thanks to Yoli and Nail and Rose. Sorry I disappeared in the first place; school/work/ensuing emoness tripped me up and proceeded to stomp on me. =D But I AM now definitely going to college (unless I die or something) so yay! *reenergized air punch* Huzzah!]

A pair of doors loudly slid open, and in walked the resident canine, walking to the tune of his own whistles. Who cared if he had missed an important meeting? Well, he did, actually, and probably his mad-scientist-type hirer.

“Um, sorry, sir; you’re… unique way of parking a watercraft at high speeds caused a bit of structural damage… I had to get the drones working again.” He looked back and forth; his absentee excuse didn’t seem very dire. “.. And we had to stop the rampant flooding in a sub-sector.”

[Grats, Dak! But just so you know the elevators to this area were sealed. So to not complicate things we'll just say you came through a secret entrance. Smile]

"Indeed, good work Dak, but go ahead and call them off. That area is no longer required.", Robotnik replies flatly. He then turns his attention back to Kitty. "Yes, a new threat.... from another galaxy you might say. And from the data we've gathered they are bigger than all of us. Logic dictates we must gather our forces to fight them off and so here I am asking your assistance with that endeavour."
Posted by Irridrix on Jan. 28 2008,20:09
Irridrix saw a new figure get into the elevator. He recognized this person from the mainframe data files.

"Hello you must be Dakoter. I am Irridrix the sort of newest member to the Empire. I've just been in storage for the longest time. I'm sorry I can't see your full face I'm in auxiliary mode to save energy so I'm not a metal corpse like Metallix now is."
Posted by Ivan "Trigger" on Jan. 28 2008,21:28
"Gather forces?" Trigger balked loudly. "I've seen yer armory remember? You've got all kinds of expendable bots. Easily more then enough ta take down GUN, n' your not gonna use it? Besides; why fight 'em now at all. Let GUN soften them up for us and we just come along and sweep away everything in one massive attack while they're all weak?"
Posted by Byrain Fox on Feb. 02 2008,12:52
Obivously, he wasn't going to listen to a word he wou;d say.

Oh, well.

Decieding that it was best to leave, he began to walk over to the now entering wolf, since he was less likely for him to kill Byrain.
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Feb. 02 2008,13:17
Kitty nodded as she listened to everything.

"Judging by the fact that I'm hearing this from an infamous evil genius who recently mysteriously lost several years of his age and won't tell anyone how, I think I'd like to see a little evidence of this threat."

Posted by The Great Robotnik on Feb. 04 2008,06:48

"He just doesn't stop, does he?" Dak none-too-quietly muttered to Byrain, nodding to the badger. He sighed and cast an exasperated glance at him.

"Just watch the clips.." He grumbled to the piebald mobian in question, soon walking up the gang-plank. He hadn't yet seen the extra-terrestrial terrors or their actions, and he was fairly curious as to their gravity, himself.

Kitty silently watched and noted every broadcast that appeared before her. She looked for the minor details that signaled to her that the sources were legit, and they were.

"...All right, I'm convinced. You said something about a broadcast?"
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Feb. 21 2008,16:18
Robotnik ignored Trigger for the moment. "Yes, Kitty, I did. I want you to setup the broadcast to inform everyone about my offer to help. Will you do this for me?"

A construction bot hovers over to Robotnik. In a tinny mechanical voice it reports that the Egg Carrier is complete. "Good. All construction bots are to return to their storage bays." It beeps an acknowlegement and flies off.

Dak watched the broadcasts with apparent interest. his ears pointed forward as the brutish Furres attacked anything moving... or not moving. Their weaponry looked basic enough, but those airships.... they were far more advanced than anything on earth, and the Empire only had one Egg Carrier...

"This is.. kind of a bad thing," he muttered to Byrain, tail flicking. Now, where was a lawyer when you needed to write out a will?

Ivan watched with a muted sense of awe. These aliens really knew how to lay waste to something. He liked that. "Boy, would I love to get my hands on THAT gun." he chuckled wickedly. He could just imagine all the damage he could do with something that powerful. "Hey boss, doesn't your Egg Carrier have a gun somewhere near that powerful?"

Kitty took a moment to think about what the doctor had asked her to do.

"I assume that, taking my current position into account, I won't be able to say no to that request."
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Mar. 03 2008,16:11
"That would be correct, Trigger. But it needs Chaos emeralds to really pack the kind of punch we're going to need. And Byrain, GUN won't want in on this. They're going to try to get all the glory for themselves."

He listens to Kitty's statement with interest. "Sure you can say no, but do you really want to? You have the chance to go on the air with the most notorious and powerful villian on the entire planet. And once we're done you may go whenever you wish afterwards. I give you my word on that."

Posted by Ivan "Trigger" on Mar. 04 2008,23:44

"Someone get this guy a shooting range," Dak sighed. "Or something..."

He turned to Robotnik. Suddenly remember an assignment he had been given much earlier.

"I unfortunately had to postpone that Emerald recovery mission you sent me on a while back, but seeing as we'll need them again..." He looked up in thought and scratched his head. "I'll have to pull up the data, but there was a possible Emerald up in the mountains north of Station Square..."
Posted by Byrain Fox on Mar. 06 2008,19:23
"Well, that'll be easy enough to get." Byrain said quietly, yawning afterwards as he folded his arms.

((...Somehow I thought there were more people in this posting order.))

Kitty folded her arms, assuming she didn't have them folded already. Robo was right, but not necessarily in the way he was intending. She decided that this could be quite fun, in a way.

"Well, Dr., that isn't quite as appealing to me as it is to you, but nevertheless I believe you've got yourself a deal."

She glanced over at Trigger. The way she made it out, he was like a firecracker ready to explode in anyone's face at a second's notice. She made a mental note to try to avoid getting on his bad side, and to try to get him on Eggman's if possible.

"I'm glad to hear that, Miss O'Brien. Now I need you to compile a list of what you need and whatnot." He then turned to Dax, "Get the data you need, then. We need it quick so I'll let you use whatever you want to get it."
Posted by Ivan "Trigger" on Mar. 12 2008,22:10
Trigger groaned again. Too much talking! When was he going to get some more skulls to break? Heck even a boring shooting range had more appeal then sitting here listening to some prissy-self-righteous reporter make deals. None of which resulting in him getting what he really wanted.

He was tempted to volunteer for this emerald mission, but he had a feeling that would be even more boring then sitting around here. At least here he could threaten and intimidate this cat. And if he was lucky, maybe he could even slap some sense into her... or maybe even that Byrian bone-head too.

"So how long is this gonna take? I've gone a whole ten minutes without breaking someone's skull and my trigger finger is getting awwwwefully itcy."

Rose’s expression dulled as she saw the badger’s reaction.

‘ One of these days, he’s probably just gonna kill all of us.’ Rose thought to herself, sighing.

“Then please, go ahead and shoot my stupid cousin. I give you all my permission.” Rose said sarcastically to Trigger, though she meant it fully.

(Welcome back, yo! Please be mindful of our nearly non-existant posting order!)

Dak nodded in response to Robotnik's order, heading deeper into the massive ship until he found what he was looking for; another war room. From there he got to work pulling the information he had found not too many days prior; at least he didn't have to start completely from scratch...

Asher's image soon appeared in multiple areas of the base, including the currently-stationed Egg Carrier. A short tone echoed in the war room, alerting anyone present to the hologram's arrival.

Dak had been loading the needed information onto a small tablet when the alert hit his ears, and he turned to see his sister 'looking' around the room.

"Asher?"

"Oh, Hi Dak!" the seemingly innocent tone of his sister blared nothing but trouble...

"What did you break?..."

"I didn't break anything, yet! Robotnik said I could talk to ya when I got back to the island and-" She paused as the island sounded its alarm again, the blaring notes traveling over the microphones. Dak raised a brow and looked around as if the noise had emanated from the Carrier, itself.

"... Was that an alarm?.."

"Oh yeah! The defense systems got something on the radar!" she excitedly exclaimed, tail wagging. Dak's jaw hung slack for a moment, before he yelled over the transmission.

"You didn't think that was something to tell me, first?!"

[Posting a bit out of order due to my base getting invaded! Tongue And thanks for handling things in my absence, Dak. I appreciate it.]

Robotnik's comm sounded alerting him to an alarm going off. He opens a channel to Dax in the war room. "Report! What's going on at my island?!", Robo demands with aggitation in his voice.

Posted by Ivan "Trigger" on Mar. 31 2008,21:37
Trigger mood seemed to perk up when Robotnik's alarm started going off and the boss started getting real angry. An alarm? On his island? Hm. Could only mean one of two things. Either the base was about to explode, or there were some skulls there he could smash in. He REALLY hoped it was the second one. "Anything I can help with there boss?" he asked, sounding anxious and hopeful at the same time.
Posted by Irridrix on Apr. 02 2008,18:33
Irridrix scanned the security cameras in the system to see what was coming. It moved so fast across the screen he couldn't see it normally. He turned on his view filters to see what it was.

"Dr. I am figuring out what it is now. It's moving too fast for any naked eye to see, but its not blue I'm filtering the picture now."

Kitty covered her ears as the siren blared.

Sounds like Eggman's got a new emergency. He's got everything to worry about today.

Noticing that nobody was looking her way and sensing an opportunity, Kitty dashed off down a side hallway of the Egg Carrier... only to run right into another of Eggman's robots.

[So like, last I heard Rose had writer's block? And, yeaah. I'll move my post down if she loses her WB before three days xD.]

Only seconds after he berated Asher, the 'intruder' burst into the rooms. As the android began to interrogate the girl, Dak realized he had never felt so helpless in his life. Even so, he wasn't about to show it~

"Hey, back off!"

"Stay out of it, hologram." The intruder responded, effortlessly taking out the hologram system. His and Asher's forms fizzled into nothingness.

Dak growled, starting to open a video channel to the War Room's cameras, when Robotnik's voiced boomed over the intercom.

"Report! What's going on at my island?!"

"There's an intruder, and its already made it past the island's automatic defenses. It's currently in the War Room, with Asher." He replied, a growl in his voice. "And, its looking for you, apparently."

"Hey~, Where do you think you're going to, yo? You know there's no way outta here." Byrain shouted towards her, cupping his left hand and placeing it on the side of his mouth while his right hand was placed in his pockets. "Not to mention you're asking for Trig' here to shoot you, yo."

Robotnik watched Kitty's actions with disappointment. "Bring her back over here, Byrain." he then turned his attention Trigger, "Maybe, Trigger.... that's a possibility."

Focusing back to Dakoter Robo spoke with more aggitation in his tone, "Now who isn't looking for me, Dak? I seem to get that kind of attention alot. Gimmie some details, please."

He noticed the image Irridix generated and continued. "Actually, Dak, let the annoying robot know that I'm about ready to focus alot of my attention on him, and not in the good sense!"

Kitty decided it'd be a bad idea to try to take the fight any further, so instead she let the robot lead her back to the group.

Just you wait, Dr. Egghead. When we're done with the broadcast you'll find out what it's like to be a scratching post.

Blitzkrieg and Ashers comversation played over the channel, but Dak heard little to none of it; he was busy paying attention to Robotnik and the others. He grumbled out a few expletives as the random arguments and confusion spouted up over the line. With a bark, he called to the rest of the sentient crew.

"You know what?! I can grab a minnow-class and sail out there, for all the time spent-"

"Dak?" Before he could finish his statement, Asher's voice popped back up on another line. The older wolf quickly switched to the channel.

"Pup? Are you oka-"

"The robot-dude is called Blitzkrieg; he was a G.U.N. bot, but he wants to join the Empire... and uh... he just left somewhere...- Oh! He said to tell you guys not to attack him or he'll destroy and-or kill people."

Dak's eye twitched. The soon-to-be outnumbered robot was making demands. He shook his head and made a move to switch back to Robotnik, when he noticed both lines were still open; Robotnik and the others could and would hear Asher's explanation.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on May 09 2008,19:18
With a shake of his head Robotnik states, "At the moment the only living thing there is Asher. Dak, get her to a secure area. I don't want her wandering around!"

He then points towards Irridix and Trigger, "You two! Get over to the base and knock that thing out. Once he's out contact me immediately and give me a full report of his combat ability. Now MOVE!"

After barking his orders at Irridix and Trigger he turns his attention towards Kitty. With a motion he calls for Byrain to stick close, "You know, Miss O'Brien, I tried to be civilized and polite, even gave you an opportunity... but then you go and throw it away. Here I was willing to let you enjoy some luxuries as an honored guest, but obviously that was not enough! So you know what? I'm gonna give you a special ride back to the city." His expression turns to a sinister grin, "How does THAT sound?"
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on May 20 2008,18:00
I gather that by "special" he doesn't mean "pleasant"...

Kitty pointed a clawed finger directly at Robotnik's face.

"Listen and listen good, Eggface. Up until now, you have been treating me as nothing better than a convict in a prison block. I get tranquilized and brought here in a cage, chased around by all your metallic servants, and treated like dirt all around by you and your lackeys. I have yet to see any of your alleged 'luxuries of an honored guest' whatsoever."

Then she pulled her hand back. "That said, I'll do your broadcast and cooperate with you as soon as my treatment becomes better suitable for Kitty O'Brien than for Prisoner #83."

Rose glared at the cat with a potential death glare as she stood in-between both the Doctor and the cat. She had been containing most of her anger for some while, and the cat wasn't helping her contain it. She was reminding her of what she hated so much about people in general.

"I would advise you to keep in mind to use your manners whilst talking to the Doctor. You won't be going very far talking like that to him." Rose replied in a cool and low tone (though it was obvious that she was probably ready to strangle someone in a moment).

"I would also like to remind you that if you had -kept- your manners in the first place then most of the people here -wouldn't- have treated you so badly. But, as it would seem, you just had to go and use sarcasm towards are leader thus the reason why we have apparently treated you so badly."

“ Ya know, she’s got a point, yo.” He said, surprisingly agreeing with his overly smart cousin. “ At least, I think she does.”

There was a small gasp after his last sentence, as he looked over towards the direction it came from.

"You think?!” Rose started off, in a sarcastic manner, “Why, what is the world coming too?!”

He glanced towards her dully.

“Shut up, yo.” He muttered towards her.

He turned his attention back to Kitty.

“Either way, it’s not like I coulda asked ya ta politely come with me back to the ship. The moment I would say that ya would of probably turned tail and give me the chase so I had ta knock ya out ‘n stuff. No hard feelings or anything.”

[Did something happen to Irridix and Trigger? They haven't posted in a while.]
Posted by Rose Fox on May 24 2008,17:30
[ I don't know. The guy who plays Trigger has been on for some time but he has yet to post. Also, Irridrix hasn't been here and both of them posted anything about absecenes so it's best to skip them as of now. :/]
Posted by Irridrix on May 25 2008,14:56
(Sorry guys I've been trying to post but I got caught up in some things and I've also been getting skipped. Before the three day rule thing.)

"Aye Aye Doctor. Although I do protest to fighting him on such low power."

[to ummmm where ever Blitzkrieg and Asher are at I guess]

[Sorry about that guys. With the wacky posting order I didn't know where the heck I fell in]

"Ha, 'bout time I get to shot off more then my own mouth." Trigger slammed his fist into his open palm enthusiastically, turned and raced off to the hanger bay so he could get back to the Island base. "C'mon ya walking tin can. I'll plug you into a wall socket if i have to, just get a move on."

[To the War Room on Robo Island...]

[ Yeeaahhh, Were going to have to hold it till the doc posts. We could try and skip, but I don't think it's the best Idea since he's the main emperor dude and he's a key character, unlike Rose or Byrain. So, for now, we'll be holding for the doc, Kitty/Dak. At least two people are leaveing the topic makeing it easier for us. >.>]

[I apologize for my delays. I'm having to get ready to move to Houston. Downside is that it's stressful and taking time away from me. Upside is we're renting a home! Big Grin With a nice big backyard my kids can play in!]

"Hmph, you got some spirit in you.", Robotnik stated with a smirk. "Now, since you seem more dedicated to the task at hand I suggest you take a page from what Miss Fox here said and mind your manners. You're treatment thus far has been far better than most of the other visitors I have had."

((Finally, it's my turn!))

It was more than tempting for Kitty to make a sarcastic remark, but she decided that considering the circumstances, it wasn't a good idea to offend her "host" any more than she'd already done.

"I suppose. Was that little incident earlier something I should be concerned about?"
Posted by Rose Fox on Jun. 13 2008,16:12
"No, since it doesn't invole you." Rose replied to her.

[ OOC: I've got nothing. -_- This is the least I can post. Skipping Byrain, Dak is up next.]

[Skip me too, sorry.. I've got a spot of Writer's Block as well. And please, for the love of CHEESE use the three-day absence on me! xD Keep the topic going, pl0x. Btw, congrats on the abode, GR! =D I'll be at your housewarming in spirit!! *Will delete after the next person posts*]

[Ah, mostly moved in. STILL have a bunch of unpacking to do but at least I have 'net access! Woohoo!]

"Rose is correct, you need not concern yourself. Now, what will you require for the broadcast?", Robotnik asked Kitty.
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Jun. 24 2008,14:59
"A relatively spacious area to broadcast in, a working live-feed camera and someone to operate it, and a general idea of what story I'm going to tell. And maybe a cold glass of milk, too; that little chase made me a bit thirsty."

Kitty had little difficulty listing what she needed. And under her circumstances, she'd probably get all of it as quickly as possible. The question was, what would happen then...
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 02 2008,20:49
"Done.", Robo stated flatly as he tapped on his tablet device, "I will set you up with one of the VIP quarters. You should find it acceptable to your standards." A small servant robot shows up with a tall glass of milk and presented it to Kitty.

[Going to assume everyone will be following so....]

"Now, please follow me below decks. I will show you your quarters." As they left the deck of the ship the sounds of pressure doors closing and sealing could be heard throughout the ship. "As far as your story, Miss O'Brien, I guess the stress of your experience clouded your memory so I shall fill you in once more. "

"Basically our planet is being threatened by an alien enemy that is too strong for us. But I have the solution!", he announced with a flourish of his hand, "I have developed a weapon that will destroy them! All I require are a few of the chaos emeralds and it will have the power necessary to fire."

"Now, I'm sure you're thinking 'Why not broadcast that yourself?'. Well, my new visage is unknown to the world. While keeping it a secret was fun the times call for me to no longer remain incognito. And even if I were to tell everyone the truth I doubt they would listen immediately. So I need you, a well known and well respected media figurehead to help get my message and new face out there. Did I leave anything out?"
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Jul. 08 2008,18:55
((Are you sure it's my turn? It was my turn just two posts ago!))

Kitty had just finished the glass of milk she'd been presented with. She had to admit, the doc was as good at following orders as he was at giving them. And the milk wasn't half bad. She listened to everything he had to say.

"That sounds acceptable. And the camera?"

{ Post for Both Rose and Byrain. STILL not much I can post. }

Both Rose and Byrain stayed in the back, Rose on the far left while Byrain walked directly in Kitty's path for safe measures.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 10 2008,08:29
[Yes Kitty it is. The others are basically waiting until we get into the action. Smile]

"I'll be handling the hardware for you and I promise it'll be up to your standards." As Robotnik spoke he led Kitty into a lavishly decorated suite, as if it was taken from right out of a 5-star hotel in Vegas. Through the large window in this room the group could see the area outside the ship rapidly filling with water.

"Now, how long do you need to be ready? We are going to be moving out soon."
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Jul. 12 2008,09:49
"About five minutes should do it, as long as you don't barge in every thirty seconds to remind me of how long I'm taking."

Leaving that said, Kitty approached a large mirror to tidy up her appearance.
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 14 2008,12:40
Robotnik holds up his datapad and looks over it as he waits by the doorway. "Computer, status of the Egg Carrier."

"All systems initialized.", it chirped.

"Open the Aquatic Base Dock Doors and power up the caterpillar drive. Configure ship for silent running. Once the drive is ready undock the Egg Carrier and take us out to position Oscar Tango Sigma."

"Command Confirmed."

Through the rooms main window everyone in the room could see the giant metal doors of the underwater dock slowly start to open to reveal a tunnel.

Kitty freshened up her fur carefully, and wiped off her milk mustache. She then picked up a spray bottle and began spraying it into her mouth.

Rose simply stood around with her arms folded and as impatience plastered over her face. Of course she kept on glancing from what was in front of her to her cousin Byrain and back and forth repeatedly. The reason was that he just so happened to be looking down at wait appeared to be her boots which was bothering her that he was staring at them. And it caught on her patience quite easily.

“What?” Rose asked quite harshly as she looked towards Byrain who seemed to snap out of it as he looked at his cousin instead of the shoes.

“Nuthin.” He said in a matter of factly tone,“ I just notice that your are kind worn.”

“And?” Rose answered using the same harsh as before.

“And…I just…don’t see many girls with worn shoes, yo. ….And wear boots like yours….” He answered back, the last sentence he said quietly has he began to stare at them.

Rose simply stared at him with a harsh look.

“…..What? I can’t help it if you’re boots look like they’re going to expire, yo!”

“Pheesh, my boots are perfectly fine! I’ve had them for 8 years and they’re still in perfect condition,” She lifted her leg up and grabbed her shoe, Byrain watching closely as she just began to flex the end of her boots, “Se-”

She didn’t have much time to finish her sentence as they’re was a rip sound and noticed that her hand was a little bit farther than what it should have been.

Why? Because her boot literally had ripped in half, and you could see her plain black socks completely. Though, It wasn’t completely torn off, just….half way through.

The look on Roses face quickly turn to shock, and looked as though some small pride might have shattered with it.

[CONTINUED ON BYRAIN’S POST]
Posted by Byrain Fox on Jul. 14 2008,17:43
Byrain looked at her boot surprisingly, blinking as he saw the look on his cousins face.

“Wow…yo. They really WERE about to expire……Wait…are those boots a little big on your feet?” He asked, as he stared at the torn shoe.

Rose put her foot down and looked at Byrain with a usual, ‘ I’M GOING TO KILL YOU’ look.

”NO. They’re just vertically challenged!” She answered back sarcastically.
He blinked at her response.

“Is alright, yo. At least things can’t get worse.”

She slowly turned her head back towards him as he said that.

“…What!” he shouted, as he grabbed her trench coat sleeve, tugging at it a little. “It’s not like your Trench coat is-“

RIIIIPPPP.

He looked at the tear in wide eyes, as the sleeve of the trench coat had torn from the seems. Rose looked at the tear in shock, and more of her pride seemed to shatter. Afterwards, she looked up at Byrain with another look to kill.

“I….Blame you for this….” She said in a low and angry tone as she took her overcoat off and began to fold it up.

“…Like I knew it was going to do it, yo.” Byrian replied, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

“SHUT. Up.” She simply replied back with a growl as she held the folded overcoat with her left hand, keeping it closely to her side. “I’ve got a great idea, how about to take a long walk , OFF a short pier.” She said afterwards with a sarcastic tone.

He blinked at her response before he answered back.

“Um, how am I supposed to take a long walk off a short pier if it’s short? “

Rose faceplamed as Byrain stared at her funny.

"As amusing as it would be to watch your wardrobe malfunction continue, Rose, I need you to go change clothes.", Robotnik stated with a chuckle, "Preferably into something new."

Meanwhile the Egg Carrier engaged it's caterpillar drive, pushing the massive vessel through the tunnel with barely an audible hum.
Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Jul. 18 2008,18:12
A minor jolt tossed Kitty off her feet as she was tidying her appearance up. Muttering something herself, she got up and dusted herself off as she resumed.

((...I'm all out of interesting things to post.))

“ Hahah ahaha aahaa, yeah, very funny.”

Rose muttered the last part silently as she walked past him to enter into another room.
Posted by Byrain Fox on Jul. 20 2008,11:31
Byrain watched as the door closed behind Rose before walking over towards the doctor.

“You’ll have to mind her, yo.” He started out with a sly grin on his face, “She has anger issues. “

His grin got wider as he looked at the doc from the side.

“In which, you’ve totally got to work on that with her since she’s your girlfriend and all.”

[OOC:I'm just so evil, muahaha! xD]

(Not to worry, Kitty, I'm fast forwarding a bit now.)

Robotnik arched his brow at Byrain and gave him a curious look. "We'll discuss this later."

Like a shark swimming through his waters the Egg Carrier moved quickly and quietly mere meters above the ocean floor. After about an hour the ship slowed to a stop, finally reaching its destination.

Meanwhile inside the ship television broadcasting equiptment was set up in preparation for the broadcast. Robo spoke into his datapad again, "Computer, bring ship into broadcast depth. Miss O'Brien, better let your friends know you are about to make a live broadcast."
Posted by Rose Fox on Jul. 27 2008,14:02
[Three days it has been, and I'm not going to wait for you to go and post Kitty.]

Rose entered the room with her hands in her pockets as she looked around seeing the progress that was being made.

She was wearing a black turtleneck shirt with a black jacket, the same old but actually new black pants and, of course, black boots.

Her expression was dull and despite the new pair of clothing it seemed as though her mood had yet to change.
Posted by Byrain Fox on Jul. 27 2008,14:05
As Byrain was leaning against the wall, he saw his cousin had finally entered the room with a fully new wardrobe.

And a dull one at that.

He felt the need to say something but he decided to wait and see how the boss would react first to the new sight of clothes.

((Sorry for missing my turn, but I don't know what I'm supposed to make of "let my friends know I'm about to make a live broadcast".))
Posted by The Great Robotnik on Jul. 30 2008,16:01
(As a newscaster, how do you broadcast live breaking news? Camera equiptment that transmits to a news station that relays/rebroadcasts it to the world. I would think you'd need to contact them so they can prepare. You know, 'We interrupt your normal TV viewing to bring you late breaking news.')

Posted by Kitty O'Brien on Jul. 30 2008,16:37
((Right. I don't know that much about TV broadcasting. Stop me if I do it wrong.))

At Robotnik's request, Kitty picked up a phone device nearby and dialed a number on it.

"Kitty O'Brien here. … Yes, I'm perfectly fine, but I'll explain later. We're going live in thirty seconds. … I've got the equipment here and it's expertly managed. All you need to do is relay the broadcast. … Alright, I think I can count on you. See ya." And she hung up and prepared for her broadcast.

Not to mention I found out that the Sarath storyline has been cut and now my reason for doing this broadcast has been shot to crap. So I've got to come up with something and am currently drawing a blank. Again, I apologize. I think I have an idea but I must OK it with the powers that be.))

RE: Aquatic Base - Kitty O'Brien - 10-12-2008 04:36 AM

((I'm supposed to repost this here, right?))

The ON AIR light blinked on right after Kitty cleared her throat. She'd done this a hundred times before, and the fact that she'd been kidnapped for this one was only a minor detail by now.

"Hello, everyone, this is Kitty O'Brien of KBS News coming to you live from the Egg Carrier, property of Dr. Ivo Robotnik himself, alias Dr. Eggman. He, eh, 'requested' my presence here, if you know what I mean, for a special interview. You probably won't recognize him when you see him; he's recently developed a special beauty treatment that makes him look thirty years younger! To be honest, he hasn't even told ME what it is yet, but hopefully we'll find out very soon."

She stepped to the side slightly. "And now, folks, here he is in the flesh, the Master of Disaster, the Don Juan of Destruction, the Kingpin of Chaos, Dr. Ivo Robotnik himself!"

RE: Aquatic Base - "Trigger" - 10-14-2008 08:56 AM

[Hey, sorry for the long absence, but with nothing particularly solid to do, there just wasn't any reason to post. But, if you'd still like to have the 'trigger happy lunatic' as one of your goons, I'd be more then happy to get back into the swing of things.]

RE: Aquatic Base - Rose Fox - 10-14-2008 11:11 AM

[ I'm going to repost a posting order since I forgot how it was supposed to go. And also because the Trigger happy badager has returned. Though you're going to have to re-start yourself since everything has itenally been screwed over.

POSTING ORDER:

The Great Robotnik, Rose/Byrain Fox, Trigger, Kitty.

If anyone has problems just say on the OC that you want to post after so and so.

(and btw, skip my turns if I'm not needed. )]

RE: Aquatic Base - The Great Robotnik - 10-18-2008 01:12 PM

[Sorry about the delay. I didn't find out about the move until just recently.]

"Thank you, Miss O'Brien. First I wanted to let you know that I'm a big fan of yours. Love your work. But as you stated, yes I have found a way to reverse the clock but I'm afraid I can't quite bottle it just yet." Robotnik states with a chuckle.

RE: Aquatic Base - Kitty O'Brien - 10-19-2008 02:35 AM

Kitty rubbed her chin.

I certainly hope he doesn't anytime soon. If it can do that to him, he might just use it to try to reduce us all to babies and conquer the nation with ease. But no way am I saying that out loud; I don't want to give him ideas. "So it's not just cosmetic? Care to tell our viewers the source of your 'fountain of youth'?"

RE: Aquatic Base - The Great Robotnik - 10-19-2008 10:51 AM

Robotnik gives a thoughtful look as he ponders a moment. "Hmmmm... let's just say I've solved two problems at once. I could very well have eternal youth and at the same time meddlesome hero wanna-be's can't travel through time anymore.", he states with a grin.

RE: Aquatic Base - Kitty O'Brien - 10-19-2008 09:28 PM

((Assuming it's only the two of us at this point...))

Kitty folded her arms.

So it has something to do with time travel? Well, the only occasion in the past on which any hero has traveled through time is... "Let me guess... you paid another visit to the Little Planet?"
