Just as a heads up, but as of this saturday, I'll be heading down to Mexico for a week long vacation. This will effect Chadin, Mammoth Mogul and Rampage. Hopefully I'll be able to work out a way to temporarily have those characters 'disappear' while I'm gone so I won't slow the rest of you down, but otherwise, feel free to skip past me till I'm back.
Man...your last vacation was only in February. Wish I had the money to take vacations that often, but alas it's hard to do that with owning your own house and all.
Anyway, hope you have lots of fun.
Hah, have fun in Mexico~
Dancing with pretty women, eating tons of spicy foods~
Just don't drink the water, aye?
I know it seems like I just got back from one vacation, but, new year = new holidays... that just happen to be really close to one another, I know. Anyway, just as a heads up, the week after next will see me down in Disney world for a couple weeks. Unfortunately this means I won't have net access for a while so... yeah... apologies. Worse come to worse, everyone can just ignore my characters for the time being whilst I'm gone.
Dude...what holidays do you have in Canada this time of year that you get off for? In most companies in the U.S., no one gets off from work for a holiday between New Year's Day (Jan 1) and Memorial Day (last Monday of May). If you're lucky (or you work for the government) you may get off Martin Luther King Day and/or President's Day, but aside from that you're out of luck between January and May. It just wears on your soul thinking about it. My company will let me off for Good Friday though, so I consider myself very fortunate.
Too bad I'm not going to be there at Disney World. I've been there a zillion times and I know my way around the theme parks as good as the city I live in. What all are you planning to see? You going to hit all the theme parks and the water parks? Also, if you return to Orlando again, Universal Studios is definitely worth a look too. After all, they have Islands of Adventure, which has Harry Potter Land
I have a vacation planned myself, but not until May. This is a trip I've been dreaming about for a long time, and now I think it's time to finally do it. I'm going to go to JAPAN! WHOOOOO! Sure the ticket cost me $1550, but I have a long-time (10+ years) Internet friend I'm staying with while I'm in Tokyo. That will help a lot. I asked for a language course in Japanese for Christmas, so that's what I'm going through right now.
It helps when the bosses are fairly lenient on the time off and such. I probably won't get any holidays until next year except MAYBE the odd day off, but yeah, I'm very grateful they are giving me the time off.
In any event, yes, I am planning to hit all the major parks and water parks inside Disney world, plus Universal. Ever since me and my brother played roller coaster tycoon all those years ago we've wanted to hit a REAL coaster park, so Universal in particular is going to be awesome!!
Congrats on the trip to Japan. Unfortunately, Japan's not really a place I'd want to visit. I'm not all that big a fan of Anime, which most of my friends who DO want to visit there are. I'm not really big on the idea of learning a whole other language in order to visit and enjoy myself. And lets face it, Japan is crowded enough without me. I've never been to a park like Disneyworld so I'm not sure how well I'll react to the crowds there, but I've always known that I likes my elbow room.
In any event, I hope you enjoy your trip.
On a side note, what exactly do you mean by that no holidays thing? Up here I'm not aware of any one NOT letting you go on vacations in January or February. We don't have any National or Provincial holidays aside from new years, if that's what your talking about though. Hell! As far as I'm aware, January and February are popular times to GO on vacations because of the winters here. Hence the term "Snow Birds".
Though, I'll tell you what, after coming back from a vacation in a tropical climate, the weather feels even colder than when you left!
