Dawg the Porcupine
05-04-2011, 12:39 PM
Name: Dawg (Alliases: Dawggy, that spiney head freak)
Age: 16
Sex: M or F? While that a personal question, Male.
Species: Porcupine
Faction:
Alignment: Hero
Appearance: http://i51.tinypic.com/30w4l21.png (courtesy of Whip)
Personality: Dawg is an impulsive, overzealous, and generally loud Porcupine. While he does tend to get on the nerves of others, he sticks to his cause (even if he doesn't quite remember why it is his cause). He's dedicated and loyal, and most things he does so for what he thinks are the right reasons. While sometimes misguided and fairly gullible, he trys to correct his mistakes anyway possible. Though his actions are unneeded, he is very protective of his friends, and they are oh so happy to throw him under the bus. Through years of expirience, he is still none-the-wiser of how to really react to a situation with a level head, and that gets him and others into dangerous situations countless times over. He's a little over cocky, and is no where near modest, but some how he seems to pull through to the other side, with help of course. Dawg has a very thick head, and a hard understanding of things, and doesn't quite know how to take a hint.
Family:
Transport: Dawg has a form of the shoes that Shadow possesed in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Commonly referred to as the "Air shoes", these neat little sneakers boost his speed to where he deems it unnessicary to use an other form of transportation. The main difference between Shadow's and Dawg's, is that Dawg's are colored with sploches of different shades of green.
Weapons: Dawg posses not one, but two pistols that he carrys with him everywhere. They are embroided with a D facing the palm of his hand, and are professionally customized to fit Dawg's needs. They have a maximum ammo capacity of 16 bullets for magazine, however Dawg has reloading down to a science and can reload pretty fast. 1 post for one pistol, 2 for 2. More information can be found in the Strength and Weakness section(s).
Biography: When a Mommy Headghog, and a Daddy Headghog, love each other very much....they consider adoption. That's where Dawg comes from.
(Before the deminsional clash) He's lived in Soleanna all his life, and as a young Porcupine he would often look up at Guardian Mountain on a clear day, and hope to become something important. Causing problems from foster home to foster home, his dreams were one day answered when a apprenticeship like situation arrived at the G.U.N. Headquarters. At the age of 7 he was, well to put it simply, kidnapped and forced into G.U.N. to become what would become a "super soldier". After several failed attempts, and proof of psychological damage to the participants and the family, the operation was cancelled. However, Dawg did not want to go back to another foster home, and he kinda liked this crazy government place, so he decided to stay on a provisional basis. The disciplinship of G.U.N. did little to quell Dawg's impulsive and hyper active disorder. As he became more and more comfortable with the place, he decided to behave some and start learning. By age 10 he was discussing tactics, and on his 13th birthday he received the very gift he stills carrys with him today, two pistols with a green embroided D on the handle. He became an agent of G.U.N. and swore to protect people. At the age of 14 he met Whip, and the two became roommates.
(After the deminsional clash) One day Dawg saw a bright light, and boom, his life changed. Through adapting with the clash, he repressed the memories of G.U.N. to dampen the pain of losing the only home he knew. He decided to get his own apartment in Soleanna, even though he thought there was something different about the city he did not pursue the thoughts. He has since become a vigilante, trying to become a protector of a city once more. Even though things seem down he still keeps his head up in hope. He is content.
Moves/Combat Style: Dawg's main attack force is his dual pistols, which he will provide as a cover fire from a short-medium range. While he is not very strong, he uses his phenotype given gift of very sharp quills as a proper defense. Here are a few of his attacks:
Roll: While running Dawg has the ability to curl up into a tight ball.
Spinball Jump: Dawg is able to leap into the air and curl into a spinning, tightly compacted ball which can destroy enimes.
Spindash: Dawg is able to curl down and begin rubbing up, taking a diagonal pivoted, ovorlar shape. Dawg then blasts foward in an exelarated roll, meant to break down enemies ahead.
Quil Shot: Like a spindash, Dawg curls down and begins rubbing up, taking a diagonal pivoted ovurlar shape. Instead of a exelerated roll however, Dawg releases his Quils causing them to fly off in a random direction. Note this ability has a 20 minute cooldown in which Dawg's Quils regrow.
Quil Retract: Dawg bends down, looking to bury his muzzle in the ground, then his quils extend from his back at a very quick rate. While retracting Dawg is left completely vulnerable. Note: Weaker if cooldown for Quil Shot isn't over.
Chaos Punch: When Dawg is in possession of a Chaos Emerald, he simultaneously transports towards his target, moving at a high velocity, throwing all of his body weight and strength into one monumental punch that then propels the enemy backwards,
Bullet Blast: Dawg flips the switch on the side of his pistols and holds down the trigger. After a short charge rate, firey bullets blast out of his pistols towards the target. After 2 simultaneous bullets are fired, a recharge period of two posts is required, where Dawg must rely on his (lack of) physical strength.
Skills: If Dawg were to think things through, he is actually pretty good at tactics, he just never has the patience for them. He can do basic first aid on himself and others, but that's about all he has up his camo-colored sleeve.
Strengths:
Speed-With Dawg's airshoes Dawg can get up to a boosted 161 MPH, though he generally doesn't go that fast, because he likes to keep pace with others.
Sharpshooter- Dawg can use his pistols rather well and accurately without thinking about it.
Quick Reload- Dawg possesses the ability to reload his pistols at a speed of, one post.
Weaknesses:
Clumsy- Dawg is very clumsy and trips easily, especially when he is running. One false move, and he is down.
Lack of muscles- if it's hand to hand combat your looking for, Dawg is not the one for that. Without his pistols he relies heavily on his quils, and he fumbles much more with them.
Quick Reload- If Dawg is reloading both pistols at once, the speed at which he needs to reload, doubles. Therefore he is vulnerable during this time.
