[From Vacationing with Evacuees]
Considering Gail's hoverbike could simply fly over low obstacles, he had a relatively easy time keeping up with the fleet overhead. However, he still made sure to take relatively clear paths so that Magnus could keep up, as he used an old-fashioned wheeled variety of bike.
"We've been riding for a while..." Gail muttered, as he looked at the voltage gauge on his bike. "I hope my bike's battery doesn't run out before we find out where they're headed."
In fact, the sky was starting to yellow from the sun beginning to set.
Magnus expertly plowed through the terrain with his Motorcyle, having little trouble keeping up with Gail and Ji.
"Enjoying your first motorcycle ride?" Magnus asked to Anu.
Looking up and noticing the concern on Gail's face as he stared at his console, Magnus shouted to him as well. "What's the problem?"
Anu held on tightly, and kept her eyes on Ji. He didn't really notice Magnus's question.
Ji seemed very scared by how fast Gail's bike was going. She was completely mute, and her expression was one of panic.
"The battery's running out," Gail said, pointing to his voltage meter. "I won't be able to keep running at this pace without stopping somewhere to recharge."
But as they crested the next hill, the wolf realized that probably wouldn't matter anyway. A quaint-looking seaside town lay before them, with the ocean beyond glittering in the fading orange sunlight. Once again, the ships passed over this town without stopping and headed out over the water. If they wanted to keep following the airships, they'd have to find alternative transportation.
"I hope we can hire a boat down there," Gail said, as they headed into town. The wolf kept heading in the general direction of the sea, in the hopes of locating a boat yard.
[Feel free to roleplay this next segment out guys. You don't have to wait for me to do it. I'm sure you'd like something to do, besides follow along with me dragging us around XD]
Magnus enjoyed the smell of the ocean on the air, it had been a while since he'd been around the beach. "Well, at least we can enjoy ourselves while we look for a boat." He said back to Gail.
Being native to the desert, Ji and Anu had never smelled ocean air before. It was a very unusual experience, and Ji actually gagged at first. They didn't pay attention to what Gail and Magnus were saying.
The two motorcycles would soon whip past a hand-painted sign that announced the little town as "Cape June". The town looked like a rather quaint New England-type village, with old (but well cared for) 19th century style homes lining the road, painted in pastel colors. Ornate wood carvings decorated the columns and railings, while most houses had a white picket fence of some kind.
In contrast to the pleasant surroundings, many of the people living there looked to be in utter terror. Everyone had come out of their house or stopped in the road to look up at the sky, forcing the two cycles to bob and weave through stopped traffic and people.
Before long they reached the wharf, where lots of fishing boats, yachts, and sailboats lined the docks. Not sure where to start, Gail decided to drive his cycle up to the most experienced-looking sailor there. He selected one that looked like his stereotypical image of sailors, with the white cap, the blue shirt, and the gray beard. He had an old-looking fishing boat with faded paint that also looked the part.
Not really sure how to approach this, Gail decided to just stop near him and see how he reacted.
"Excuse me sir..."
"Yes laddy?" he said, turning around with a friendly smile on his face. "What can I do for ye?"
"We'd like to go wherever those flying ships are going."
The man gave a broad smile, exposing a virtually perfect set of teeth.
"Fine idea lad! I was wantin' to see for myself. Ye and your motley crew from the costume party can come along as well." He indicated Ji and Anu. "Awful strange clothes they got there, but nothing more surprises me with these big flying things passing over us now."

[Just going to jump over here to save time]
"Those THINGS are Robotnik's fleet; and we need to find out where they're going and stop him." I declared as I approached the gathered crowd, with Vanessa and Gerald no doubt close behind.
Not long after Vanessa and Gerald got back from their supply run into Solenna, I meet up with them back in Knothole with grave news. Robotnik's fleet was on the move. All I was able to determine from my recon mission into Robotroplis was that whatever Robotnik was up to was big, requiring a lot of heavy machinery. Most of which looked like it might be designed for digging. We'd been on the move ever since, chasing after the fleet until it so happened to lead us to this same town. I for one desperately hoped that we could arrange some transport, otherwise we'd be helpless to stop whatever plans Robotnik had in motion.

Gerald would be lagging behind greatly, not having as much stamina or speed as the two mobians. He gasped heavily as he struggled to keep up with them, stopping at one point to catch his breath. He bent over (his glasses somehow not falling off), and placed his hands on his knees as he tried to breath slowly and deeply. After a while and seeing them much father ahead, he began to rush back to a running pace.
“W-Wait!!!” He exclaimed, holding his right hand out as he held onto his bags strap.
Soleanna was like nothing he had ever seen before. It had a look of an old Italian city and it’s old historic ancestor the Romans. But most of the mood had been ruined by his cat-companion. Obviously, in the future, people wouldn’t have as good as tastes. They soon arrived back to Knothole after getting what he needed when Chadin told them what was going on. There wasn’t any questioning about what they would do.
Because he had no time to build anything, he simply brought a laptop that he had managed to get back in Soleanna. He didn’t tell Chadin or Vanessa, but he was planning to have a little “chat” with this “Doctor”. Whether they liked it or not, Gerald knew that in order to make sure the planet was going to be sucked into nothingness, they would have to get the mad-man to “truce” with them and help them get all of the shards. If they were both to continue to fight, then he feared that things would get no where.
[Guys, skip over Magnus. He's had three days to post now. How about we make the posting order Vanessa, Ji, Gail, Magnus, Chadin, Gerald?]
