It's an infamous phrase on Aftermath. Life happens. Trips, sickness, family matters, accidents, internet loss, etc. We understand. This is a guide to ensure your position in the thread(s) you are involved in while you're away.
1) Post a thread in the Absence section telling us when you'll be gone and how long (estimate roughly if you're not sure).
2) PM the people in your thread(s) and notify them as well. You don't have to write a giant note. A link to your absence thread may suffice. This is optional but encouraged.
3) If you are going to be away for a couple days (up to three), this is your free "Wait on me" card. Players involved will wait until your return (within reason).
4) If you are going to be gone for an extended period of time, making accommodations for your fellow roleplayers is encouraged. No one likes to be left hanging. If a player you trust is willing, they may take control of your character with permission. Some players may be willing to wait for your return. In the case that no player can come to an agreement, staff will step in and make adjustments accordingly.
If you do not post an absence and are inactive in-game for longer than three days past your turn, players have free reign to continue without you if so they wish.
