Tails was lying down on the street and watching the stars. He had a dream about Sonic.
***
Tails walked slowly, apparently thinking about how he ever came into Sonic's life or what it was like to be teased. He didn't really consider the landscape.
He wondered what to think of all this, he really did. While he was walking, two Sonics ran his way and he was confused as to which one to follow. Since he had absolutely no idea who was the real Sonic, he just sat there and sighed.
His mind then drifted over to the delivery man who hadn't left in the train when he was told to leave, but what really got to Tails the most was that there had to be some reason why another Sonic could've just appeared so abruptly. The Sonic that burst in seemed like he was the real Sonic.
It even drifted over the spot where Tails had apparently refused the offer to check on the fan mail sent by the delivery man. If only he would've taken the offer to see the box while his big brother opened it and then perhaps this adventure he was on and the fact that he saw two Sonics would've been different. Maybe none it would've happened. Perhaps Sonic would still be with him.
But in what context would he be with him? Would he discover the other Sonic if he would've just watched Sonic open his gift? Those were the questions, but Tails didn't have any answers. He would have to ask the real Sonic, so he'd be cured of this atrocity.
Tails chose the Sonic he thought was real and was ready to run with him, but wasn't sure where any of them were.
He then saw Amy Rose walking toward him and hugged him. Tails cried.
He asked. "Do you know who the real Sonic is? Do you know why my workshop had to be blown up?"
Amy put a finger to his lips. "I bet you can't find me." She hid somewhere.
Tails sighed. "Why doesn't anyone listen to me?"
