Hey there, I'm still kinda procrastinating on proper things, like getting the plot moving, editing my characters, etc. so I thought I'd go ahead and get this little idea out of the way while I'm not doing anything else.

This game is for your approved Sonic Aftermath characters, where you can unwind and let loose. In his spare time, Shazbot has built a holographic simulation room, where people can practice their deadly fighting moves. In the center of this room is a special dummy, made from a slightly elastic, highly durable material that won't cut, combust, or otherwise disintegrate when abused. This dummy has a built-in device that then reads back to the fighter how many hits they landed and how much damage they inflicted. The holo-room can project any environment, as well as any person you wish. It can be programmed with the motion data of people you know, so that a holographic avatar of your allies can appear to play their part in any team attack.

The aim is to inflict the greatest possible hurt on the dummy in 60 seconds, using any ability your character possesses. Everything that has a daily cooldown is refreshed, and any weapons that use ammo have it filled to the max. Once the timer starts, you must use every tool at your disposal, with no outside help or resupply. Team Blasts and Chaos Bursts can be used one time each. This is your chance to really show what your character can do, with no holding back. Unload everything you have in one devastating ULTRA COMBO!

This is not canon, so if there is anything that might hold you back (personality, abilities with negative consequences, really long cooldowns, etc.) then feel free to disregard it here. You can only use the current, approved version of your character. Anything that's under review does not qualify! You may contrive any situation you wish (for instance, if a character performs better with a Chaos Emerald) within reason, of course. It needs to hypothetically be a situation that could plausibly occur in the RP proper. (No mountain of Chaos Emeralds please)

The dummy can be set to two different modes: standard and aerial. Standard mode has a simple dummy standing in place, which weighs approximately 80% of the combatant's weight. (Varies from fighter to fighter.) Aerial mode applies a slight anti-gravity effect to the dummy, causing it to fall slower. This mode is for characters who do most of their damage in the air.

Be as descriptive and spectacular as you can. Really put on a show!

To kick this off, I'll begin with an example using, who else, Shazbot.

------------------

Shaz strode confidently into the holoroom. The terrain was set to "none", leaving everything a plain white room with green lines crossing it in a grid pattern. He did not require terrain to do his stuff. The dummy stood in the middle of the room, it's body rigid, its face expressionless. Before starting the trial, Shaz ran forward and, with a permanent marker, drew a face on it. Now the dummy looked aggressive and rude. He stepped back a few paces and leaned into a feral crouch, legs wide and cyborg right arm held slightly forward. The timer read "1:00" and a series of lights flashed beneath it, counting down to the start time. Shaz relaxed and exhaled.

The Buzzer sounded and the clock ticked off the first second.

Shaz charged forward and tackled his target shoulder-first. As it went flying, he extended his arm and grabbed it, pulling it back toward his waiting left-hook. He alternated between his left and right fist, slamming it with a rain of one-two punches that completely reversed the dummy's momentum and staggered it. Changing his arm to the Orange Buster, shaz drove the barrel into his target's torso and unloaded a point-blank barrage. His energy nearing depletion, he switched to the green buster and blasted the dummy off its feet.

Switching his arm back, Shazbot activated his Chaos Burst. "I am an unstoppable JUGGERNAUT!" A golden glow permeated his form as he extended his arm again, this time letting himself get pulled forward when he pounded down hard on the dummy's head, then smashed it with an uppercut that sent it high up in the air. He switched first to his orange buster, then to the green as he unloaded into the dummy's helpless form, suspending it in the air with bullets and energy waves. At the last second, he dropped a gravity field at his feet. The increased gravity brought the dummy back down to earth, HARD. When it landed, Shaz began pounding it with his fist like a hammer, driving it deeper into the floor.

Then he dropped another gravity field over his shoulder, and with the dummy gripped tightly in his iron fist, he swung it high over his head to impact in the other gravity field. Straining with the effort, he swung it back over to the first field, then back to the second, and finally with a mighty roar he flung the dummy straight up into the air. The rockets in Shazbot's feet roared to life as he took off in pursuit, slamming fist-first into the dummy mid-air, then grabbing it and swinging it around in a wide arc, using the rockets to change his trajectory mid-flight. Accelerating with full power, he charged straight toward the ground with the dummy braced on his shoulders. Tucking in his head, Shaz slammed the dummy into the floor with enough force to leave an impact crater.

The clock read "0:00" and a loud buzzer rang out. Shaz hopped to his feet and went to the terminal to view his results...

Total Hits: 38
Total Damage: 407%

Shaz gave a self-satisfied huff. "Not bad, not bad. I can do better, though."

--------------------

As you can see, you'll need to count every individual impact you make on the dummy. Unless stated otherwise in your bio, grabs do not count as a hit, but throws do. Even if you are a little vague about the exact number of times your attack impacts, you must still count them up for your final hit total. As for damage, just imagine that "100% damage" is enough to down a fighter of average constitution. (No need to be exact, this is just a meaningless number to express your character's general baddassitude.)

So there you have it! Don't forget to provide links to your bios, and have fun beating the crap out of Dummy! (Don't worry, hes a good sport.)
It's funny you should mention having a training center. We used to have a portion of the board (called Battle.net I believe) dedicated just to fighting tournaments and training in roleplay combat. That was years and years ago though.

Maybe I will post something for Nail, Giichi, or Gail later.

Stormer walked into the training room as Shazbot left. He walked up to the console and changed the arena to resemble the Disk Wars arena from Tron Legacy and the dummy to resemble a Black Guard member. A computerized voice said, "Let the games begin.", as the arena holographicly changed. Stormer adjusted his hat, took out Hurricane in Halberd mode, and said, "Let's see how well this dummy holds up against my lightning!". The countdown began. 3... 2... 1... Begin!

Stormer quickly rushed forward and repeatedly bashed the dummy with Hurricane's ax blade for a total of 17 hits in 20 seconds. He then used Volt Driver to ram into the dummy for 7 hits. 30 seconds remained, and he switched Hurricane to chain-gun mode, blasting the dummy with a 50 bullet burst. 10 seconds remained, and Stormer ran up the wall of the arena, lept into the air and unleashed a Chaos Shockwave as he landed, sending the dummy flying at the opposite wall with the force of a mountain. The timer was up, and Stormer folded up Hurricane into compact mode, and went to see his score on the terminal outside. It read:

Total Hits: 74
Total Damage: 632%

New Record.

Stormer pumped his fist in the air and cheered. "Alright! That was awesome! I aught to train here more often!", he said as he walked down the hall with a confident smirk.
